@TruthFreedom That makes much more sense. Wanting a simpler way of life I would call you a traditionalist more than a doomer. Doomers believe civilization is going to hell and refuse to do anything to help that just complain all day.

Do you want to flesh out your identity further or are you content with your current life? 

I'm a big believer that through AI ubi humanity will be freed from the shackles of labor something between 2035-2050. 

Some people will use that to make their lives even more complicated and get a brain chip and explore the universe and virtual verse and become super intelligences themselves, this path appeals to me personally.

Some others will be able to slow down and go deeper in their relationship with their family, community, hobbies, etc and that seems to  be the path that appeals to you more. 

@Hojo I would define a normie as someone who doesn't really think too deeply about life and were society is headed they're more simple minded. Visionaries on the other hand take great effort to imagine and bring forth this positive future for humanity. I'm very humbled at the visionary forefathers that have helped shaped the pleasant parts of our reality today.

@Schizophonia Massive trauma. Above your typical variety I would say. I think it took me, perhaps, 15 or so? years to heal. I didn't have my shit together until 35/36. From then I applied myself 100% to 'life' and taking responsibility. Within 3 years I worked my way up to where I am today.

So I stagnated in life for a very long time. And I know that no matter what age we are - growth can happen. And FAST. I do not subscribe to doomer mindset or hopelessness. I WAS that. I know how much it destroys your experience of the world. AND I know how rapidly life can turn upside down

Maybe we are all just a bunch of bored aristocrats from the year 2150 and these are the lives we chose to live out in the simulation lol
