Just languages limits!  There's no conflict between our opinions regarding what 'that' is!

You beautifuly call it 'Unfathomable abyss'

I call it 'Supreme self'.

:)

Yeah, the problem imo is calling it "consciousness", because implies an observer, the implies duality and limits. But this is only my conceptual view of course

But depends on where your standing regarding understanding what that it (your level of consciousness), yeah on basic levels in order to shatter or loosen the heavy ego identification and open up the gate of possibilities and so create a space between one's self and the ego-mind, it's actually good to make that duality, eventually realization that consciousness cannot be separated from it's content will be naturally gained. Thus one will experience expansion of his capacity to love.

Therefore, it's confusing to use the term "consciousness," as it causes the person attempting mystical realization to focus on the observer and assume that change is an illusion, something false that doesn't exist. This leads many people to identify with what they call consciousness and believe they have achieved a kind of permanence. This is a mistake because they are locked in a closed and dualistic energetic structure.

The field of changing phenomenal doesn't define you! This must be very clear for one to go deeper in his spiritual journey. Real or unreal is just thinking. It is what it is. In order to find your true self false notions and old ideas about who you are must be droped.

If you think this is misleading or not working then let's agree to disagree!

Look my avatar, it's Kali, who represents time. Time is change, and it's stepping Shiva, the immutable essence. Shiva and Kali are one, there is not limitlessness without change, the dance of change is eternal and essential, the alive facet of the absolute. The burning heart of Christ. The source of cosmos.

I understand brother,

You are talking about advanced levels of consciousness,

I'm talking about teaching normies to first be freed from suffering of their mind,

Plus how'd you realize you are Shiva if you think you are a stupid human living on earth?

Being in state of not knowing is the best state, cause if you think you know, then you are deluded.

So not being identified is actually very good, opens up the possibility for you to know!
