In defense of Disney

4 posts in this topic

Leo criticizes Disney in the most recent episode on conformity. I used to hate Disney for being a giant monopoly that pedals garbage on and of the screen. However after considering further I find Disney as merely a successful story telling company that tell stories of triumph, overcoming difficulties, equality, diversity, music, dreams, etc..

Take star wars for example. (I know it didn't start out as Disney) It's still a story about good and evil and how difficult it is for goodness to triumph and how seductive evil can be. These are timeless lessons that are equally as profound as any myth or legend that humans have been telling themselves for millennia.

Most other Disney movies are stories about young kids rising up againsts unconscious and evil older people.

Aren't stories like these a net benefit for society? Is Disney's only sin is that it's too successful and huge?

Maybe old-school Disney.

Modern Disney is full of woke ideology and shits out stuff like Tron and Alien Earth. Corrupt money grubbing leads to the endless turd factory of their latest catalogue.

It is far easier to trick someone, than to convince them they have been tricked.

Warning: Do not watch any of these reviews if you have not watch the movie.

This guy is uhh... on point with the uhhh.... criticism..

But..... I agree more with Penguinz0 here. It's a fun movie. But it's not Arnold's Predator.
