It's the lack of activities and other people that would piss me off.

No monuments, no restaurants, no gastronomy in general, no cinema, no bowling alleys, no pool with friends while drinking beers, no Latina prostitutes ☹️, not much human warmth in general.

None of that stuff really matters, rather its your personal attachments to those things and such comforts that you think you need. You speak of (human warmth), yet all those things are far from true human warmth, rather more in the lines of suppression and escapism.

All you really need is land, everything else is secondary and optional. It would piss you off because its out of your comfort-zone.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance ~ of a unified mystery...

I think this great, how do you bypass people who aren't holding to the level of integrity necessary to uphold this community ?

I have not experienced this being a problem here. It seems to me that the people here are doing a good job.

I checked out your website.

Very appealing thing you've got running over there.

Might just have to carve out a couple months to fuck off and write my book surrounded by some chill people.

The long term people here say that the best time to visit is January to March because this is the season when we have the most amount of delicious fruits.

I would love to go sometime in 2026 but I really fear the insect situation.

@Mihael Keehl

What is the animal/insect situation like, do you bump into creepy spiders, Cockroaches and serpents often?

I'm vision impaired so I don't see those animals until they r in my face.

There are a lot of insects here of course. But it is not as bad as I have imagined it before coming here. You get used to it quickly. Yes, spiders are common. Sometimes I see a brazilian wandering spider. They look quite majestic and have one of the most painful bites in the world. A lot of cockroaches. I only saw a snake once. People say that they encounter a snake maybe once in 3 months, if you are working on the land a lot. It is possible to encounter venemous snakes that can be dangerous.

The most annoying insects are small biting flies. They are mostly active in the morning and I usually encounter them during work in the field. You can avoid them for the most part by wearing long sleeved shirts during this time. Bullet ants are not uncommon as well.
