This is a fuction of the masculine containment dynamic. The feminine needs to test that the masculine container is legit and won't collapse. The masculine does not need the same from the feminine.

The feminine is screening the masculine for strength. The masculine is not screening the feminine for strength but for beauty.

The masculine version of this is asking to see the girl with her make-up off. Haha! 

Men fake strength and women fake beauty. Which is what the real value is and why both are tested for fakeness.

Real value is always faked by imposers to gain survival advantage. It's all just unconscious survival.

These insights are pure gold nowadays. You guys have no idea how lucky you are you stumbled upon Leo/Teal Swan/David Deida. I met people who are absolutely killing it in terms of economy/politics/science/business etc. but they simply cannot accept these basic things. They are basically fucked for life. Thanks Leo for shining some light onto this post-modern madness we live in!

A mirror always reflect you perfectly.

For example, you're with a girl who ghosts you even though you're making an effort.
From your ego's point of view, the one that suits you, there's a separation; the girl doesn't reflect you since, as proof, this bitch ghosts you while you're making efforts.

Except what you don't see is that she's just reflecting your subconscious, she's its manifestation; that is to say, the truth that you don't love her but are there because you have something to prove or something.

By conscious we mean the objects with which we identify, by subconscious we mean the objects which resist identification, by ego, and which are projected onto others; from a more "high" point of view we could even say manifested in Maya.

 

(Sometimes I talk about the unconscious, but that's a misuse of language; in this context, it's more about the subconscious.)
