The self, consciousness, does not change whatever the experience is. On hospital bed or winning the olympics, consciousness, I, remains untouched by the experience. 

Hospital bed however, can make the sleeping consciousness look deeper, due to its suffering,  no where to run from the Truth,  no distractions 😉 💋 😘
