5 day trip to Vegas - should I settle down there?

4 posts in this topic

19yo going on a 5 day trip to Vegas with my family, and I was wondering what should I do in the city to determine if I should settle down there after pickup (and marriage).

I know you can pick a city to settle down in just by vibes, but what else?

Also is that enough time? And because my family will probably influence my choices (distractions) should I bother putting effort into figuring out if its for me or not?

You should definitely bother trying to work out if this is right.

If you’re interested in spiritual development, it’s not a great city. In fact some spiritual people have said it’s the most low vibration place on Earth.

Instead of which city to go to I would recommend thinking what you want to do in life and spending a lot of time on that. Spent huge amount of time, this is what Leo would recommend.

Anyone who says they’re enlightened on this form in anyway is not, except me I am.

Drive around the residential suburbs of Vegas. Don't just stay on The Strip. The Strip is for tourists, locals hardly go there. You want to see the real, residential parts of Vegas like Summerlin.

Also you need to visit other US cities to compare. Your decision is really informed by having a half dozen cities to compare from direct experience.

Also, at your age, you don't need to know which city to settle down in. You can live in many cities before making that decision. Live in Vegas for a year and then you can move elsewhere.

A 19yo is not settling down anywhere. Explore the globe as much as you can.

Your point about family influencing the trip is valid. Explore new places entirely on your own terms. It makes a world of difference.

Agree with @Leo Gura here:

I'm 27. When I was your age I lived in a suburban NY town near the Canadian border. Then in rural Vermont a couple years. Then the 5M+ Phoenix metro for a few years.

Also been to Virgina, Florida, SC, Alaska, Utah, Ohio, Mass, Maine, for a few weeks each. Sometimes for work. Other times just to explore. Oh and Mongolia/central Asia too.

Explore the WORLD! I'm moving to South Korea 6 days from now. I used to think i wanted to live and settle down with a farm girl in Vermont at your age (lmfao). But after you have a few places under your belt, you get this itch to see more and perfect your habitat and your place in it...

Go solo and go for volume. After 5+ places lived in and 20+ places explored, you'll see patterns of what you love and hate.

AMA, and have fun!
