Suggest Psychedelic Retreat / Ceremonies in Europe

11 posts in this topic

Hey,

I haven't done any psychedelics yet but I'm saving up to travel to Europe (I'm living in Eastern Europe) to try some.

I don't want to trip alone because I'm inexperienced, I think it would be better for me to trip in a retreat setting where I'll be taken care of physically.

Do you have any experience in where I can do that? I looked online, there are some places but I wanted to know if anybody here tried some of those places.

I'd start with Mashrooms maybe, because I don't think LSD is legal anywhere, and I don't want to start with anything stronger like DMT or 5Meo-DMT

There are many Ayahuasca ceremonies being conducted by real Amazon shamans, thoughout Europe.

I have been to some of them with 3 different shamans, all of them very good.

Check retreat.guru as well.

@Kensho Ayahuasca is basically DMT, right? Can you share more about your experiences with those shamans and trips itself?

I'm a bit worried about the dosage, like, do you have any say in how much of that substance you consume? or it is all up to those shamans that I should trust.

As far as I know, you have to keep a specific diet for that, unless you want to harm yourself.

Ayahuasca is not only DMT; it's DMT + MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors), where the MAOIs prolong the duration of the trip by preventing the enzyme MAO (monoamine oxidase) from breaking down the DMT in the digestive system.

Didn't know that, that must be pretty intense. But again, the fact that I'm not in charge of a dosage makes me a bit uneasy. If it was just me without shaman, I would start with a tiny dosage, and work my way up. But if somebody else decided that for me, not sure how to handle it. But I hope they have different protocols for beginner and advanced trippers.

@bazera, I wouldn't do ayahuasca alone for the first time either because I'm afraid to mess things up, although I would want to know the dose before drinking it in a retreat center.

However, I haven't done ayahuasca. I have only smoked DMT that I made.

The intensity depends on the dose. MAOIs just prolong the experience.

I have done retreats in Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden, UK, Germany and Austria.

2-3 consecutice nights, usually 10-30 participants. There is an organizer who books the space, and arranges everything via mail.

Unfortunately, Due to the illegal aspect of them, info is not announces publicly. But, the 'light' always find a way.

The dosage depends on the shaman. When I did second time with the same shaman I asked for more and i got double dose and I had a massive life-changing breakthrough.

The ceremonies involve music and dancing. Some nights are Really  like mystical group celebrations of light.

I haven't done any in the Amazon jungle, but I believe in Europe its not so raw dark silent and  rough as described in the jungle.

Ayahuasca retreats are multi-day. All beginners take initial dose the first day (half), to check how they react to it. I have high tolerance so my first night I was watching others having their process while I felt nothing. Bummer...

Second night, woohoo.... Lift off!
