Writing academic paper - need psychedelic articles

Hey guys

Im finishing up my university degree with my "bachelors project", which is a free written assignment. Of course I have chosen to write about psychedelics and mind expansion - however I am not completely sure what angle i want to pursue yet. Definetely  something epistemological, the relationship between psychedelics, mind, consciousness and the nature of reality. 

So I'm searching for relevant articles / books / papers about the matter of psychedelics and the nature of reality. I thought the actuallized community could come in handy here

@emil1234 congrats and good luck. I'd say just Google them . A tangent question here ..what are the job opportunities to work in as a philosophy major graduate In your country ?

Bernardo Kastrup has said some interesting things about psychedelics, and his opinions are naturally touching on academic sources, so I would maybe look into that. He talks about how psychedelics actually lead to a reduction in brain activity, which challenges the idea that brain activity can explain experiences. On a more personal level, he is skeptical of "psychedelic gnosis" (the knowledge you gain during a psychedelic trip), emphasizing the tendency towards fantasy (but his actual stance is more nuanced).

My first advice is that if you're gonna write something a bit outside the norm, find strong citations to back up your claims. Don't just add the citation but read them. At least go one level citation depth to ensure everything is correct. I like Scispace GPT from ChatGPT for academic research.

My second advice is to find someone experienced in writing papers and handling thesis, if interested in psychedelics, much much better. Having a senior on your side will ensure quality and polish the little non-written details that make the difference.

My third advice, work hard, strive for excellence and do something remarkable. Try presenting the work to some Congress when you finish and research which ones may relevant, this will avoid that your work ends in a drawer and ends up making an impact, hopefully a Domino effect.
