Rabindranath discuss with Einstein about truth and beauty

4 posts in this topic

Great dialogue - if I understand it correctly Einstein is saying the truth exists, even if humans do not. Tagore is of the belief that if no human is there to experience it - it is meaningless to call it truth at all?

Einstein is believing in his 'objective laws' like a religion, really. I think Tagore is trying to reconcile the universal in the individual, noted in that he seems to believe the role of the mind is as a co-creator of reality.

What do you think? Truth exists independently of humans or it emerges through human consciousness?

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

As I see, Tagore is really truly open to the total and he understands very good that the beauty comes from the absolute perfection of the synchrony and harmony of everything and humans are not separate of that, humans are that. but something is confusing when he said humans and reality. Let's read about him

Beauty is the reality when it's seen in its true perfection. The reality is flow of infinite relationships in perfect harmony. "Perfect" means that the deviation is zero, it's absolutely totally perfect to the infinite power. Tagore see that humans are the perfect reality, that the experience is just the reality in the form of an experience. A subtle shift that seems he did totally

Humans, like all matter are just specks, tiny objects that are born and eventually die, we created the words and concepts (by which most all are addicted to via their addiction to intellect and meaning and definitions etc), Truth or Reality was there long before we came around and will be there long after we are all gone... It is just we can be in touch with it, Experience up to a certain level, merge with it like a drop of the Ocean going back into the Ocean..
