My brain is failing me!!

4 posts in this topic

Hey guys
Since the beginning of the year I’ve been going through a lot stress, uncertainty, derealization panic attacks, and all of that led to digestive issues and eventually H pylori. Then came two weeks of antibiotics. It’s been a lot of intense pressure and mental challenges overall.

Lately, especially after the h pylori and the meds, I feel like I lost the ability to think and process information like I used to. I’ll try to explain, I can’t think fast anymore, I forget things super quickly, I don’t feel sharp. focusing seems impossible, It honestly feels like early dementia or something, and I’ve never been like this before!!

Could it be from anxiety attacks? From the antibiotics? Maybe my nervous system got overstimulated?
If anyone’s gone through something similar I’d really appreciate hearing about it. I feel like I’m losing my ability to process thoughts properly, and it’s starting to freak me out.

Right now I’m trying to change my lifestyle and help my brain heal physically. I’ve been looking into lion’s mane and other supplements, but I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences..

🙏

Could be your microbiome got messed up from the antibiotics. People with excessive anxiety and stress tend to have delayed stomach emptying as well (idiopathic gastroparesis) and this can manifest mostly as acid reflux or LPR.  Your body might just not be used to the stressors and is overstimulated.    This was me, until very recently, when the fruits of practicing radical acceptance have increased my peace of mind to a greater point than any in my life thus far.

My addiction to screens is still my achille's heel.

In any case, most chronic health problems people have are actually stress related, and when they can reduce the stress the problems disappear.
