Meta is the most serious company in the world in terms of AI. Its main goal is now reaching AGI with a new approach outside of scaling up LLMs like Elon musk and openAI. Meta built a team of 50 people , they are the top from other ai companys like openai.

What do you think, the value of this company should be 10x if they really make it first. They plan AGI for 2027/2028.

With Mark Zuckerbergs record-history of not caring about the unintended consequences of his tech at scale he shouldnt even be allowed to aspire something like this.

I listened to Theo Von's podcast with Mark Zuckerberg a few months ago now i think. He seemed to genuinly believe that what he is doing with social media is a net positive - i think he even denied that there are any negative consequences of what he is doing.

I know the outcome is to an extent is the same, but i like ignorant people more than someone who wont see something on purpose. He seemed like a genuinely cool and intelligent guy, its just that his whole being revolves around technology ignoring everything else.

Same with Jeff Bezos, my impression of him was not at all that he is this evil greedy person, he is just ignorant.

Regarding AGI, i always forget what people mean by that.

That could be true that some AI has already surpassed human capabilities in performing cognitive tasks, but for me becoming intelligent means something else.

When i hear AI is going to be intelligent im thinking about AI becoming a " living being ".

And they are far away from that in my understanding.
