Should I do Image Streaming? (Raising IQ)

7 posts in this topic

The creator of this technique called image streaming says if you do it enough, you could increase your IQ by up to 40 points.

I'm not buying into that but other people anecdotally talk about benefits to their visualization, intellligence, etc. I don't think any IQ benefits would be that major but I'm sure it would increase.

Should I do it in order to gain better performance? Or is life already too full with Life Purpose, Meditation, Yoga, fun, etc?

I considered trying it once but I suspected the way the method works would me make go insane 😂 I'm already too associative for my own good. Training my brain to become more associative would just make me end up as a poet. N-Back training works for me, I think I added a few points from that, but high-intensity cardio and sprint training (things that elevate lactate) are probably just as effective (as well as resistance training and other forms of cardio). Meditation is also super good, especially when done right.

I would say try it and report back the results after a month or so 🙂👍

Pursue understanding of God and your intelligence will truly rise. Not some gimmick.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Excellent direction; incorrect claims; misappraised benefits and inaccurate alignment towards hypothesised goal. Great ideas are born from everything underneath them.

One tweak I will give you is instead focusing on the patterns between phenomena within imagination inclusive of but not limited to the sensory.

Use sensory as grounding immersion amplifier, not a tool to increase the opposite ability; abstraciton, or more scientifically precise *relational integration*, most correlated to fluid reasoning.

One further tweak I'd add, is by also including Carl Richard's suggestion, n-back, but not as a separate entity. Similarly, recognising repetition of stimuli across a certain interval in the most primitive of ways, is not going to increase your capacities for relational integration. Instead, while you are consciousness streaming, which is where you are thus encompassing your whole phenomenological experience not just your sensory experience, you pair the patterns observed through immersion with the letters, and then upon their recognition relative to n-level you recall the pairing while also finding patterns between pairings. This is crux, without every minute gear of the clockwork that is better learned during your actual practicing and undertaking of the kind of note-taking that Winger suggests.

It's pretty primitive yet interesting that the forum that is supposedly underpinned and beholden to so much open mindedness reveals that its training the exact opposite behaviour in both leadership and any supposed recalibration from learning experiences. Empiricism is often the most needed for those that are either trying to denounce or be absolutist in relation to it. Life is about integration, not denigration; that is what leads to unity and actions that unify, not dissociate from the impartial truth of their existence.

I may be sharing more architecture on cognitive training directions in the future, but at the very least, insights on training specific to the mind itself.

What is most important, is not the mind, but how you use the mind to give find genuine personal fulfilment that keeps you in integrity with how you internally make and want to make your own existence; this requires a mind devoted deeply to its own philosophy on love, and that is unique to the relations we've formed since child-hood, and our devotion to no pun intended, their relational integration.

Stay open minded, but put words into empirical action. I'd also include the kind of note-taking Winger suggests in his "feed the loop" method, for a beginner, or a grandiose expert that merely performs to be one.

Rock out.
