Actualizers with VERY HIGH levels of Innatentive type ADHD. What are your strategies for survival?

Holy Spirit, I REFUSE to do my S(elfish)atanic Will. Help me, for I strive to see your Kingdom.

[Matthew 16:24-25] 24 > “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

The adhd is the survival strategy. Theres nothing wrong with it. If you want to be more okay with the survival strategy just say its okay to have and I am me and I shouldnt do anything I didnt do.

If you have that brain machine you should be able to answer your own questions you should try it. Not in an offense way but you should see if it works.

Try to sit there in meditation let your imagination flow, and have a voice recording going and tell it what your imagination is showing you and then read what the machine says. Then you can do back and see what made you experience what.

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread

As a ADHD patient myself, I can assure you that ADHD is not a survival strategy. How do you come to think that? Right now there is not a holistic truth around what causes or even is ADHD, but most people go with the notion, that its a chronically under-stimulated pro-frontal cortex (and other brain regions). Which is in no a way a useful survival strategy. Reports say that untreated ADHD people live 6-10 years shorter lives (risky behaviour, drug use, over-eating, carelessness ect.).

@VynceI think its developed when you are a baby or child and are stuck in spots where you cant control anything and cant leave so you  have to disassociate as a coping/survival tactic. You could not be stimulating the pre frontal cortex because you have disassociated and cannot be in the moment and are not controlling your body consciously you are controlling it front past and future flashes in the mind. The body is on auto pilot you, cant think stop thinking about now or then.

Its a useful survival strategy when you cant control chaos and are trying to enter homeostasis. Its a highly advanced survival technique.

Moderate ADHD = Solid routines, frequent physical activity, meditation time in the morning prior to anything other and social activities.

High ADHD = Stimulants. They are by far superior to virtually every other treatment option for adults at the moment. They do carry some side-effects which you should keep in mind. Thats the domain for a real doctor though.

You "think"? Whats the evidence for that?

In general its extremely difficult to trace stuff like that back to super early stages of life. You would have to do research on thousands of babies and wait decades and see if they developed ADHD, for such a statement to be true.

@Vynce The first thing I would say to parents with adhd kids is stop screaming around them. Its like constantly being scared you have to be guessing whats going to happen or what happened because you were scared a bunch of times. Now when there's nothing to be scared of you cant stop doing it cause you had to do it so much as a baby and child. Your brain is automatically doing it even with tasks and ideas. Its like back and forth constantly without being able to sit in the center and hold it.

Imo anyway I'm not a psychologist.

My current survival strategy at someone also diagnosed with inattentive ADHD are as follows.

  • I try to make sure my obsessions are on the things that will help me grow in any way as much as possible. Be very wary of porn, certain drugs and videogames to some extent when you have this condition. Having ADHD can actually make you a powerhouse focuser if you know how to hone it properly.
  • I drink green tea and matcha instead of coffee as green tea gives me more clarity and the l-theanine calms my overactive nervous system to help me stay focused and streamlined during the day.
  • I would avoid Adderall if at all possible and would recommend getting a meditation habit instead. This has helped me tremendously.
  • Eat as much vegetables as you can, the magnesium and potassium helps with cognitive function and clarity and calms down the nervous system.
  • Make sure you exercise frequently also as this makes a world of a difference for your overall cognitive functioning and mental health.

Hope some of this helps.
