Leo, help on dealing with wealthy family

6 posts in this topic

Posted (edited)

@Leo Gura This post is not to brag and it isn't a joke either. My family is extremely wealthy and I have very little money.

They have many people working on their factories as Wage Slaves. They overwork their employees and give them high stress, poor condition jobs. All while I focus exclusively on personal development and Spirituality.

Am I participating in this corruption by enjoying all my family gives me? How can I escape this situation given Mexico's inequality and my mental health conditions or should I even try to do so or keep playing their value and beliefs game to receive things from them?

Holy Spirit, I REFUSE to do my S(elfish)atanic Will. Help me, for I strive to see your Kingdom.

[Matthew 16:24-25] 24 > “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

You are fine since you are focused on higher things.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I will use my money to start a rehab clinic. For now I use it to do EEG Therapy on addicts.

You are choosing to walk a path of honour, integrity and respect.

And while life isn't a vending machine where you put good shit in and good shit comes out, the good you do is going to pay dividends. Spiritually, personally. If you are gifted to feel compelled to assist others you must do so. Otherwise that gift will backfire on you, go inwards and hurt you.

You being aware of the systematic effects of your families behaviour is the key to keeping you aligned to this greater good of helping others.

YOU will go to sleep at night at peace. YOU will finish a hard days work feeling satisfied. You won't even want anything in return

They will not experience peace like that.

Think of accepting their gifts as them passing some form of energy to you - you are going to take it and use it to help you in assist others.

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

@Santiago Ram

Don’t let wealth stand in your way. The Buddha himself was born into great luxury, a prince surrounded by abundance, before he renounced it all in search of truth and awakening.

In ancient Greece, the Cynics chose radical simplicity, rejecting material possessions to live in alignment with virtue. The Stoics, on the other hand, believed that virtue didn’t require withdrawal from the world. They argued that true strength lies in living a principled life amidst whatever circumstances arise, wealth included.

Marcus Aurelius, a Roman emperor with immense power and material wealth, lived with deep wisdom and discipline. His reflections remain a profound example of how inner clarity can coexist with outer responsibility.

So whether you have much or little, it’s not the wealth itself that matters but how free you are from its grip.

Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life.
