You're literally no different from a religious zealot from the 10th century if you get hung up on a word like that without addressing the content of what is being said. What is the substance of your disagreement?

I've been thinking about this so much recently - the idea of solipsism. It's not good for my mental health.

I really don't think that solipsism is true. I got drunk the other night, and was trying to prove it to myself (that solipsism was true), but it just didn't make sense. I was talking to someone at the bus stop, but it seemed obvious that he had his own mind and separate experience from mine.

Solipsism is a belief at the end of the day. Leo, if you're reading this, then explain how solipsism isn't anything more than just a belief, just like all the other "beliefs" you claim are not worth "believing in".

Because my mental health has been suffering since watching your solipsism video.

Isn't it clear, he mistakenly believes in other minds

It's a goddam dream why would "people" be conscious

If they express different thoughts to your own, then can't you see that they have their own separate experience from yours?

Solipsism is basically selfishness/narcissism dressed up as spirituality.

@TruthFreedomPretend your mind is like 5 people in a room talking, peoples faces come into your mind and they say something (like experiences you had with them) when you are going about the day new people say things to you and then you think about what they said to you, those are people in your room mind. Now here in reality the same thing is happening the people you talk to are just voices in the mind of reality talking to itself. Reality is like another room of mind where the same thing is talking to itself in a different dimension. The voices of other people are as real as the voices in your mind just on another level.

@TruthFreedom Thats cause you are selfish and narcissist. Its a projection against something that can be seen in anyway. If you are peaceful and dont want anything it can be seen as the opposite. The brain thinks about what that would entail, goes this is what I secretly want, and projects it out.

You imagine, what solipsism would imply? And that creates your world view. If you wanted nothing, selfish and narcissist wouldn't even enter the mind when thinking about what being God would imply, God would imply flying in the stars becoming loving and accepting death, unleashing imagination beyond sex . This is what happens during projection. Your imagination is infinite and you can only think of one thing at a time. When you focus on something in imagination it is telling you something about yourself cause you are your imagination.

The simulation is about you even when talking about topics like solipsism and God, you cant escape yourself.

I'm sorry, but solipsism is not "absolutely" true, it is only relatively true.

Yes, I get that the only thing "I" can experience is my own mind, but to believe that other people don't exist is foolish.

What about when you ask someone about their day and they start describing it to you.

Do you really believe they didn't have that experience?

@TruthFreedom They did have the experience but their experience happened in your mind.

@Hojo no it didn't, it happened in their mind.

Try standing in front of a mirror with another person.

You can clearly see that you are a separate entity from this other individual, and see clearly that you have a head, with your mind contained in it, and they also have a separate head, with their mind contained in their head.

It's so obvious.

Solipsism in the absolute sense is complete delusion.

Hahaha

@TruthFreedom Thats called living in a reflection. You are not looking on the surface of the object you are looking into the surface and doing weird black magic mind games. That you dosent exist except in, not on the surface of shiny objects ,and you are looking into the surface and saying thats me.

You, like beauty, is everywhere and you are shrinking the range of 'me' down to the shape of your body. Like when you see something beautiful, beauty is everywhere by default, so you have to say something isnt beautiful to point at it and say it is.

@Hojo look, if you want to be delusional, then I'm not stopping you.

You have free will, so you can choose to believe in solipsism if you like.

It's a matter of belief.

I choose to believe that other minds DO exist, even though I can't prove it in the here and now.

@TruthFreedom They do exist as much as you and your own mind but your thoughts and idea of yourself are not you its just another pretend voice you have taken hold of. Ultimately you arent real and no one else is either and they are all voices and characters in Gods mind and play. God is looking through your metaphysical door to experience what the thing is seeing and Doing. Your voice and place are in the world but just a hologram with sound to God. Thats what solipsism means. Solipsism dosent mean your mind or Leos mind its Gods mind that its making up characters in.

How can it be narcissist and selfish if it dosent even exist to itself?

At the end everyone will disassociate from themselves and become God, all minds talking at the same time.

@Hojo

With everything you are saying, I can clearly see that you have your own separate mind, which thinks completely differently to mine.

I'm just glad I am in my mind and not in yours.
