Any dieticians here? (Trying to lose weight but worried bout protein shakes sabotage)

@Aaron p not a dietitian but I’ve researched about too much protein/too quickly makes the surplus convert into glucose. Since protein powder is basically predigested ultra fast absorption protein and usually high doses, then there should definitely be some of this gluconeogenesis. Whole foods win, always.

Also, your shake is probably sweetened with some nasty sweetener like sucralose which wipes out the gut microbiome, the good bacteria as you could expect.

Dr. Gundry has a lot of content on this

I don’t think the shakes themselves are the issue. It’s more whether the whole day is planned properly and keeps you consistent.

I bought a plan from Shake That Weight because after a certain age my body just wasn’t reacting the same to simple dieting anymore. Random shakes and guessing meals didn’t work for me. Having shakes, meals and bars already structured made it easier to stick with without constantly thinking about what fits.
