These people saying things like this have only had glimpses of enlightenment or no self.

What happens is, its underestimated how sneaky and convincing the ego or self illusion actually is.

See, the ego becomes threatened during these glimpses and takes a different, extra sneaky approach........"I recognize I am not this small self, but yet I am still here existing"; "Well then, I must be everything"; I am all of existence"; "I must be the creator of all" "I am God"

This is what's often referred to as "The Spiritual Ego" or "Super Ego"!

Its like ego on steroids essentially 😄 

These people are not enlightened!

Sure they may be temporarily experiencing unalloyed happiness, joy 
and peace.....the ego or illusion of self is relentless.....trust.

But it can always be spotted because it's Identification itself......whether it believes itself to be a small human self or God itself, doesn't matter.......all that matters is its an Identification to keep on keeping on.......it will fight tooth and nail for Identification.......it's all it knows!

Liberation doesn't happen for a someone. Nobody becomes enlightened or ever will.

It's so damn funny and or surprising when it's recognized......it truly is a cosmic joke

If you want to play the game of doing science about ego then I can play the same word salad game and ask you this :

Who is the "you" or " people "who are not enlightened to get a different view of the "ego"? Awee this is  tricky. You assume there is a you that have an ego.. The ego IS what is being referred to as "you". . So if you want to be technically careful and rigorous there are no people who are fooled by ego because ego is the idea that there is ego or people.

There isn't anyone here, that's what is meant by nobody becomes enlightened. The self or ego is an illusion of identification.......so "I'm" referring to the nobodies that are identified as that very illusion.
