I could see the point in that it would be nice if they explored let's say more of his strategic genius and more details about his childhood. 

It's unclear to me what people wanted?

It had historical inaccuracies yet would have been great as a TV show, where they would have more time to do the Napoleon story the right way.

What would have been perfect would be a tv show about the French Revolution then leading into a show about Napoleon’s rise and fall. It would have perfectly captured the cultural zeitgeist of wokeness leading to trump.
