Doubt Your Own Antipathy

Aversion can be treated as a source of information about our own perceptual filters, rather than merely as a verdict about the person/thing/concept/idea we are reacting to. Such a good and useful way to data-mine a different scope of information we might disregard - or simply take for granted, treat as a by-product of thought, or miss completely :)

I also got this nuance. The difference of Hate and Anger.

It's Erotic to Make Good Use of Anger
No achievement of dignity, rights, or freedom in human history was born from good behavior or obedience.
"Order" serves to preserve privileges and keep bodies disciplined. Progress has always been the fruit of conflict, rupture, and disobedience
"Anger is not the same as hatred. Hatred is the drop that corrodes the very container that holds it; hatred is destruction as an objective. Anger is pain translated into energy in service of a purpose"
Lucid anger is born from love for one's own life and for the lives of those around us. It doesn't want to destroy the world, it wants to make it habitable. When you feel anger in the face of abuse or oppression, the engine of that indignation is your regard for justice and for your own integrity
Hatred wants to annihilate and dehumanize the other; anger seeks to dismantle injustice and restore dignity
Making good use of anger means ceasing to treat it as loss of control and inadequacy, and perceiving it as vital energy. Anger is fuel for transforming reality, and without it we would sicken in inertia
Rebelling is a profoundly erotic act. Because apathy is the language of submission. The erotic is the pulse of life wanting more life - and whoever loves life does not passively accept the violence of imposed order. All of history shows us that blind obedience has never freed anyone
Anger is the most lucid raw material of transformation. It warns us where the line of limit was crossed. Anger is a survival resource and a weapon to defend our dignity
Anger is not destruction. It is a compass.
It points with surgical precision to where a limit was crossed, where life was made precarious, and where our humanity was negotiated
Anger is loaded with information and energy

Was thinking about the anger thing and had a thought about top down thinking as opposed to bottom up.

so by top down, I mean you start with some kind of concept that has a narrative built around it and you develop a belief about something being wrong or harmful and develop a visceral hate. ( usually derived from fear or ignorance due to uncertainty). Conditioning and trauma maybe present too.

the bottom up version is that as time goes on you accumulate a series experiences of either psychologically or physically harmful occurance. Maybe you’ve researched the geneology or lineage of something and discovered it’s based on a house of cards. Maybe you’ve spent years deconstructing and understanging that behavior but not looked after yourself by allowing a constant infringement of your personal boundaries. Anger developes as an emergent factor of the evidence supporting it when tolerating intolerable or harmful behavior can no longer be justified. conditioning and trauma maybe.. especially trauma is a part of that but when talking about an organism that maintains itself by recognising its own boundary and preserving the coherence of the pattern it experience as its ‘self’, anger is an important part of flushing it with adrenaline readying it to take action to preserve itself, whether physically or psychologically. The anger is information  ( as Leo says, that points towards something that should be evaluated as a checks and balance for self deception but it shouldn’t be dismissed altogether because sometimes that information necessitates a pushback for not just survival but also thriving and experiencing in a shared reality.

Anger and hate are same. You are bad, you will pay. Even in the mild case, anger is exclusion. You remove yourself since everyone dislikes their anger. They are thus excluded and paid the cost. Though it is you who suffer. Anger and hate harm the given more than the receiver.

This in somatics is what is called "to complete the cycle" . The problem is when something was not allowed to complete its cycle. Similar to toxins acumullated in the body, stuck there. Emotions have cycles and when left unatended they get stuck and then one not know why the fadige, the overwhelm etc.. is not about just venting, is about flowing. Anger can be used for good. For example in the case of Leo, we can see the anger for Truth, the guy even cry sometimes due to the urgency of saying something that is ignored by many.

Nop, you are confused. I can few genuine Anger for the atrocities done by Israel upon Palestine Children and demand Justice and at same time hold no Hate for a Israely person. I have some Israeli friends and I dont hate them. Of course they oppose their leaders. But even in the case of the Leaders I dont personaly hate them but the Anger of the people who saw their kids killed must be honored.

I actually noticed that recently ( although through the symbolism of blocked chakras)

the crown and throat were not ringing out when the bowls were vibrated around them. I just want to be clear. I hold no belief about healing modalities rather, I use everything as symbology to point towards intangible mental mechanisms the same as I would in a dream of psychedelic journey.

in this case the crown turned out to be my receptiveness and acceptance, then the throat was expression.

if I didn’t voice my concern about something someone did to me, including being very explicit about it right down to the ‘spiritual’ level, I had not completed a cycle creating a pathway for understanding or attempt at such which meant my receptivity

for example accepting an apology without me expressing explicitly what had happened and the other person understanding what I was pointing out, I could not just sideline what had happened and accept an appology because I wasn’t looking for one. I was looking for understanding and growth in both of us in order to continue being receptive.

you can’t Appologies for something if you first don’t understand the circumstances that led to that point. That’s simply camouflaging one’s own standpoint and bypassing the evaluation. I see it as a failure of responsibility within a relationship or how someone is blind to how they relate to the ‘other’ things, people, circumstances in which they are a part of especially when it’s starts to spill from their own personal experience out into others and begins not to just be some conceptual belief they hold but a movement that harms others.

if we live in a relational space with others whI have greatly varying levels of cognitive and cultural development, the ones who simply aren’t aware enough to realise their type of bias is not a moral superiority, need to be contained to keep interpersonal ( or wider societal) relationships functional.

I see this ideia spread all over in the content of some Relational Skills influencers I follow. To just say sorry is not enogth. Accountability is important and Repair work will demand understanding. Of course, sometimes like in my last relationship case the person decided to cut abruptly all contact, cutting for both of us the possibility to reach growth. Is important to be aware when start relationships to see if the person will have capacity to repair and sit with big emotions otherwise one is subscribing for a relational shitshow.

You are not angry about atrocities but at the people who carry them out. You want these people eliminated. They deserve to pay. For you it is fair they receive the same hatred they show others.
