    Seriously, I prefer meditation and a simpler life.  It seriously makes me feel extreme depression every day.  Too much responsibility on my plate.  I don't even need the money!  I live off of 25k a year, drive a used Honda and live 2 minutes from my job.  No kids.  

    There's a guy working right next to me with 7 kids!  Wtf am I doing?

    I need to find a woman to get pregnant and have a family, or just save up to millionaire and quit.  

    My life is 10/10 terrible!  Depression is an understatement.  What is wrong with me.  There are people in third world countries in poverty whom are waaaay happier.  

    Spirituality gone wrong.  Please fire me from this forum I beg you, please God pls ?

    I feel ostracized, unaccepted, and hated by you.  Now I go into work today with LESS confidence then I had before that I'm doing the right thing.  I might be a little less effective at work.  ANd I will be a little less happy around my family.  My life and view points that I've lived by for many years are under assault.

    This all just sounds like boomer, Dave Ramsey advice and will not lead to a fulfilling life in my opinion. Your life advice is basically just "dont think too hard, live the same life as your parents and grandparents and everyone around you."     Average life?  Depending on work and talent my strategy will net you the greatest material reward you could ask for outside of starting a massively successful business or winning the lottery.

    It's the life strategy of every wealthy person. 

    What is 'more than that' mean????

    Enlightenment?  A naive goal for a modern human living in comfort.

    Raising consciousness?  My strategy is compatible with raising consciousness to a degree.  Live like a monk and work like a dog.  Selflessly spend your time.  Become an artist.  Be a part of an outreach program for those in need in your off hours.  Meditate, pray, do yoga. 

    After financial success you are the master of your life.  Not before.

    Yup, then just pursue a passion when it makes sense, or have a family and make that your passion.

    Life/career success is easy and simple.  All the basic life paths can be spelled out in a few sentences.  Pick one that makes your traditional conservative parents happy.  Money is important.

    Then work at it.

    The moment you start looking at self help books, or heavily conceptualized road maps for 'life success' you lose.  It's masturbation.  Perhaps watch cartoons instead, they're funnier more entertaining and if you pick the right one they even might emphasize a MORAL IDEA!

    Be moral, be adherent to a faith discipline, and work hard.  That's it.  I just saved you hundreds on self help content.

    And one more piece of advice for you that might be painful to consider.

    In any career situation or human organization you have to understand that your role is almost always quite a bit more simple in practice than a young person that's very bright may conceive of in advance of actually living your life.

    Even in the brightest circles of modern society you'll realize that our world is filled and built by people of moderate talent whom work very hard.  Nothing flashy, just a bunch of well behaved squares basically.

    You sound somewhat naive, but you have the right idea.

    Advice from someone who has accomplished the things you are trying to do:

    1)  Get rid of all drugs including psychedelics.

    2)  Spiritually and culturally be good at socially conforming.  Example:  if you're in a Christian society be a Christian.  

    3)  You're intellectualizing too much by writing this post even.  Focus on building fundamentals only.  Life is built on simple consistency and discipline.  If it feels boring, painful, and like work you're probably doing the right thing.  

    Bath in the ocean of boredom and the mundane and you will find your greatest success and potential.
