  1. I haven’t found my life purpose yet but I can totally relate to what you say about friends not on the same level as you. The way I look at it is you’ve all got to do your own thing, friends come and go but you have to keep on your path to greatness. Realise that we’re all alone deep down (watch Leo’s loneliness video) and that should make it all easier. Time is so limited it’s unbelievable, so don’t waste it doing stupid shit with your friends...
  2. Where is @Joseph Maynor ? I bet he’s hating this
  3. Please do this Leo! We need to be equal to use our brains more, and to find the truth of what people are saying for ourselves. Brilliant idea, surprised it hasn’t been done already...
  4. @Gabriel Antonio Yoga is brilliant but I don’t think it has anything on meditation. They are both completely separate things, both very good for the body and mind, but try meditating after some yoga.
  5. Happy New Years people! Ive come to the realisation that all this self help stuff and living differently from the average person isn’t for me. I’ve been meditating for a month (not a long time I know) and I really don’t enjoy feeling different from other people. It’s almost like the more self help stuff I do the more detached from everyone I feel. It’s weird. And it’s driving me crazy. Anyone else had this issue before?! Anyone gone back from taking the red pill to taking the blue pill? Living like the majority out there? I didn’t realise that it’s this detaching and tough to try to live the different life to everyone else? I don’t like the feeling like I’m looking down on the average person. id love to know anyone’s thoughts on this. sorry for the negative vibe and I’m sure I’ll get some strange hate from this. Thanks.
  6. Isn’t everyone addicted to technology? It’s something that’s becoming increasingly hard not to use.
  7. @Leeway that’s awesome! I thought I knew what you meant but I had to check lol. I’m currently working no less than 55 hours a week for good money, but I don’t have any time to do my passions/hobbies. I’m starting to think is all this chasing money just a waste of time? Because the people who don’t work a lot seem to get more out of life. Respect to you for having the balls to slow down!
  8. @Leeway you’re done doing? What does that mean? Haha
  9. @Natasha thank you, I will look him up. It annoys me how we’re programmed to think we need more money to live a good life.
  10. @Cjaryo I understand what you’re saying, but it’s like everyone around me that isn’t doing personal development is having a great time with life, and the more I try to better myself the more I overthink everything and feel like im better than everyone else. I really don’t like that feeling.
  11. Obviously don’t get an Instagram account. It’s going to melt your brain, waste your precious time and make you feel as if you’re missing out. Its almost like you already know the answer to this. Maybe the question you should ask yourself is - do I need validation from other people (likes) in order to gain my own satisfaction?
  12. What helped me was to value my life more. Realising how we should care for ourselves. Realising how short our time is on this earth. Realising how lucky we should be to be alive in this era. Deep down, we should be so grateful. Life is amazing, we shouldn’t have permission to complain/be depressed. Hopefully this helps anyone who sees this and feels ‘depressed’
  13. Hi all, I’ve been struggling with this one for quite some time now, and I’m asking this as I literally don’t have a clue what to do. So if anyone’s been through this then I hope you can help... I’ve got some ‘friends’ that are just distracting me from my personal growth and all they want to do is go drinking/doing drugs. They usually message me asking if I want to go out and I find it incredibly difficult to say no, because they know that I don’t have much else to do. It’s ruining my mental and physical health and I know that this way of life isn’t sustainable, and if I ask them if they want to do something that doesn’t involve alcohol/drugs then I just get turned down/laughed at. Anyone else been in this situation? How can I get out of these relationships? I know there are others out there like me, but where do I start? I’m from the UK too, and binge drinking is in our ‘culture’. Maybe that’s why it’s so hard to escape the alcohol and bad influences? Any help would be much appreciated.
  14. -how can we effectively get rid of distractions?
  15. @Leo Gura 1. Will you ever get married? 2. Do you own a smartphone?
  16. I love the part in that book about being single in your 20s. This is hugely powerful, because I think nobody really knows what they truly want in a relationship until they’ve had some real life experience in them. Say in your 30s... Great book, great read.
  17. @AleksM I guess you’re right. In the past I’ve had a tough time saying No, because I suppose I like seeing people, i just need to meet and hangout with people that will help me to grow/influence me in better ways. Also, I know I need to come face to face with being lonely, I can grasp the idea of how we are all alone truthfully, but it’s facing that head on and dealing with it in better ways. thanks to you all for the advice!
  18. @Joseph Maynor the Christmas period is way too busy and being busy all the time makes people depressed. We shouldn’t be rushing around buying things that don’t really matter.
  19. @ADD are you joking? Nearly all of Leo’s videos are better than that book...
  20. @Afonso why isn’t Leo a Buddhist monk yet? Always wondered this
  21. @Monkey-man next time you eat it be aware on how it can drain your energy, whereas raw food gives you instant energy. nothing wrong with cooked food, unless your eating the standard American diet all day...
  22. I’ve heard that the fall of mankind is when we started to cook our food. If you think about it more it kinda makes sense. And as soon as we start eating the right diet (raw food) we awaken from the madness we’ve been living day in and day out (work, school, materialism) maybe I’m wrong but who’s to say otherwise?
  23. @Seeker_of_truth if you can work a job and have time to do yoga and meditate then that’s all you need for now. That’s all I’m doing, I’m earning good money in a good job and in my free time doing consciousness work. Don’t try to over complicate things.
  24. I think to smoke weed is just a hype because people think it’s a cool thing to do. Why not try to do all this self actualized work sober? Depending on a drug to help you get there isn’t authentic and like what’s been said before, with every high comes a low. And weed isn’t an acception...
