  1. The one who is attatched to thought is thought. Attaching to thought is both the cause and the effect. Attachment to thought is attachment to self. And asking how to detatch from time ‘thought’ is also the movement of time. This needs to be comprehended fully and totally. Then their is instant freedom from the desire to be free. And true freedom becomes an actuality.
  2. The tricky and creepy thing it when you ask “how to” you invite time as a means to an end. This is a movement of effort on behalf of self ‘volition’ Do you see that? The ending of time is so subtle for the complex muddled mind. It’s so simple that it is overlooked.
  3. Psychology of the i is not something abstract. It is a fact that you can observe in yourself. It should not be regarded as concept and theory. The psyche and thought are one. These form the self. Their is learning abstract theory and there is observation of facts in ones self. I’m sure you see this? No need to study abstract theory what so ever I’m dealing with personal psychological problems. You are your own book of facts. Facts may be correct or incorrect but they remain facts never the less.
  4. You don’t need to studdy psychology, learn about psychological concepts or anything like that. Just studdy yourself. I don’t recommend being taught this personally as you need to see the facts in yourself.
  5. The thing that needs to be understood/comprehend is to go into what is the root of narcissism/fragmentation. In order for this to happen psychological time ‘the self’ must be abandoned temporarily in order to investigate honestly. Then understand the nature of thought which is the root of all psychological problems and thoughts in relationship to the self. If you understand very deeply yourself ‘the nature of thought/the self ’ in that understanding one ends all such patterns in the conditioned, fragmentary, and divisive movement of psychological time. I went to therapy before and for me this didn’t get at the root. For me personaly depending on a therapist would not have sufficed. I suffered tremendously. Abused physically and mentally from my childhood and up until about 11 years of age. I lived with suffering throughout most my life and can say from experience that it can end instantly when thought/self is understood very deeply and time comes to an end. Great vid to show people @Joseph Maynor This is a good way to spark interest to explore the fact of narcissism and fragmentation
  6. He’s talking about how resistence ‘time’ prevents freedom to engage in self learning or a capacity to listen to others. This relates to what we were talking about in the Byron Katie topic. In that freedom from time ‘narcissism/fragmentation’ makes for unbiased non partial attention to what is actually happening. Therefore their can be no moving forward. Do you see the connection between these two topics?
  7. Narcissism is related to fragmentation which is related to psychological time. You see that? ?
  8. @Dinesh Karki stress definitely made it worse though.
  9. @Dinesh Karki Age, stress levels, and diet most likely add to it. But I would say genes are the biggest reason. I had acne early in my life. Went through puberty way earlier than others. People made fun. This at the time seemed stressful but I learned a lot from it in observation of my own psyche. I do get it occasionally on my back still and I’m 34 now. I run hot. Sweat easy, and seem to process fluids faster than usual. This might have something to do with it. I wouldn’t worry to much about it. Afterall If you are aware of the nature of thinking all such problems seem very insignificant anymore. In fact psychological problems don’t exsist anymore for you. That’s the good news?
  10. I don’t know but it is action that is whole. Not fragmented. I have noticed in the last couple of days that Taoism/Buddhism do get into this.? Action according to thought/volition is always incomplete. It is influenced by the conditioned mind. Whole action is a perception not influenced by the stream of thinking ‘conditioned mind.’ Good association
  11. For me is was a sudden realization. I just saw that movement in its entirety. And by seeing the fact of it ended it. To see the limits of time ‘psychological becoming’ one doesn’t even touch it anymore. You have never noticed that movement in yourself ‘to become or not become something or anohter’???? Just found this quote. I’ve been looking at a few of his quotes and he seems to really have seen this same realization. “The window is the absence of the wall, and it gives air and light because it is empty. Be empty of all mental content, of all imagination and effort, and the very absence of obstacles will cause reality to rush in.” Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
  12. @How to be wise as I said before there is nothing wrong with Byron Katie’s way. As the way is always secondary.
  13. Suffering leads to passion and passion leads to the realization that psychological time must end. Then you can investigate reality, truth, and so on. The Agenda limits inquiry/investigation.
  14. I’m just saying if you are to attatched to an end result it is difficult if not impossible to inquir without bias. There may be different forms of inquiry, meditation, and so on that are great in themselves for different types of people, but if you are not free from psychological time you will tend to get stuck.
  15. My sister used proactive solution a long time ago. Seemed to work the best out of all the products she tried. She even didn’t have to use it after a few months. Might be worth looking into.
  16. Thought will always seek a method/practice. Try and see the subtlty of thought. As the practicer is the practiced, and the one who seeks any particular method is an aspect of the same process and method. The ego, the process, the method are really one. There is no difference between any method, practice, meditation and the one who participates in them. The meditator is the meditated. All these methods, practices, systems, and the self all are born out of the same substance, THOUGHT. Volition implies thought, thought implies will, and if you are bound by volition you are bound by time. Free yourself from time if you want a healthy line of inquiry. Otherwise fear, hope, and the egos defenses will prevent inquiry from running straight. Then inquiry, meditation, and so on will be benifical, efficient, and way more fun. I hope someone out there sees the significance of this..?
  17. In my experience.... For me efficient inquiry comes second. First there needs to be a freedom to investigate without any movement of attachment to self and its tendency to escape and self sooth. Psychological time must be seen and ended. Then inquiry is not a practice, or method. if you are not free to inquire without fear, pleasure, and a compulsion to bring about or maintain psychological security there will be no inquiry at all. This is how I feel I brought about such a quick and radical change in myself. To see that being time bound prevents the necessary freedom to inquire. If you are time bound deception/illusion is inevitable. If you seek security in any direction this alters/distorts inquiry from running true. If you investigate this for yourself you will see it is a fact.
  18. It think ultimately some might have to just end the pattern of being guided or taught at all. Or the pattern of a certain routine that may bring about a certain result in time. Some people can go it alone and it is much easier for them to do so. Some may need yoga/meditation, some may not.
  19. To understand suffering, you must go beyond pain and pleasure. Your own desires and fears prevent you from understanding and thereby helping others. In reality there are no others, and by helping yourself you help everybody else. If you are serious about the suffering of mankind, you must perfect the only means of help you have, yourself. Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
  20. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON ???
  21. @Leo Gura @Dinesh Karki Suppose we were able to share meanings freely without a compulsive urge to impose our view or conform to those of others and without distortion and self-deception. Would this not constitute a real revolution in culture. David Bohm
