  1. I think you may confused love, the thing you do without wanting something back, with love, the concept of a ideal relationship there you get your ego validated for giving 'fake love'.
  2. Hello 1984, from what I read, you are maybe stressed by your determination of mindful activity. You could do literally everything mindful, even watching tv. Then think about the fact, that people who are doing mindful activities professional (monks, for example) are in a 'safe environment'. They make it easier by taking 'risky activities' out of their environment! And their make it to their main focus. Do you want it that bad? Maybe not. Why don't you play your little games really mindful? I bet, if you observe yourself, you'll stop 'binge-gaming'. To answer you Question... I don't think that being 'mindless' is good if you do through watching tv. But you can loose yourself in a task and be in some sense mindless and mindful. But would that be still mindless by your definition? You decide.Maybe it would be good for you to go into nature to calm you mind. This helps me the most.
  3. Not necessary, but this is a good ideal. Arrogance can be very dangerous as it makes you untouchable in your mind, while there is a good chance that you still need to learn. For me it was a weapon against critic and sometimes i fall into the use of it. Another point is if you observed that you are arrogant or that other people told you that you are arrogant to keep you down. No saint here. Done both.
  4. @Revolutionary Think Hello. Maybe, just maybe, the problem is within you. I was also that person, the kind that finds every new job annoying. And a miserable 'I' was the constant variable in my jobs. What helped me, maybe it doesn't help you at all, was framing a job as something you do to earn money to pay bills. If I can pay bills with that job, I did everything right. You are unemployed now, right? Why not teach your skills to students to make some money aside? Greetings SYY
  5. Hello Everyone, I want to make a business in near future as part of my life purpose. I've worked for over 10 years while i where in school and now as I am still on college. What i realised is that many businesses are 'monkey businesses': 1. The Entrepreneur works after 5 years still over 50 hours a week and more. 2. In addition to that many businesses tend to not value their workers, because anyone is interchangeable. They also tend get payed bad. That is bad long term thinking. 3. The Business only purpose is to make money - by all costs. Even at costs of the customers or the employees. I want to make it better, but I want to make money. And I have no experience in that. Has anyone experience in business? I read Tim Ferriss and noticed James Altucher as well as 'Think and grow rich'. Do you know other role models? Thank you very much. SYY
  6. Peace. I'm so excitited about Self-Actualisation, that I'm driven to do this in all my free time. Leo, if you read this, you have taught me as much as my parents. Thank you. So at the same time that I'm learning and strategizing I have literally no one in my social circle to talk about that. Not as a equal (allthough I have a martial arts teacher and I know a very capable yoga mistress which help me grow). Immortal Technique rapped in 'The Point of no Return': "From now on, it can never be the same as before 'Cause the place that I'm from doesn't exist anymore" That is the fucking point. I'm on my way to new things and most people are doing nothing I consider worth doing. You now what? Sometimes I watch myself. I almost preach some of these lessons to my people. But there is little worth in it, because almost nobody changes shit... And I think it's boring. The funny thing is that every looks at my like I'm a Guru or something, but this stuff* is so basic. And they still don't do shit. But they complain... Do you know that? Can you feel what I'm mean? Besides, i feel great nowadays. I don't know. Sometimes I think life is a joke - but I'm the only one who get's it... Cya supremeyingyang *edit: I don't have time to describe all those in depth, but there are some buzzwords and phrases: cold showers, don't worry be happy, make sport, eat cleaner, don't smoke tobacco, don't do drugs, have a purpose, think great, get up earlier, stop watching tv, do the knowledge, meditate from time to time...
  7. Yes, I judge things and people according to my values. I know that that's a ego game and I play it casually like a game of chess. You can judge on the surface but at a deeper level you know that its bullshit. Maybe I'll come to a point there I don't do this any more. And by the way.. you need some judgement at the current state society is at to survive. I use a technique where you do preparations and judgements if necessary and in the rest of your time you just be in the moment. Or did i misunderstood you? @LaucherJunge Very True.
  8. First of all thank you very much and I do this already. But I don't know if you just want to troll me. That are truisms on fortune cookie level. And secondly what if the change I want to see in the world is to change SOME people minds? @Pelin That is my point. Talking about these things makes no sense with some people - yet where are people that value this kind of talk. So you would suggest to not talk to anyone about this. Do you have experience in meditation retreats to meet those people? I had some in school, but that was with people i were in a class with. Because I have 7 years experience in yoga and the people who are brag the most about enlightenment tend to be the most low conscious people... At the same time there are people who don't say a word for 4 weeks, but if you talk to them.. there is some deep spirit. If you can follow me. If that is true for retreats, it would be a mistake to seek for a fellow at a retreat.
  9. Hello. I were at the same point at the age of 16 and 21. What made a change was this: I signed up to a school of martial arts. But It could be also a chess or book club in your case. Maybe is it playing bass in a rockband for you, who knows? The benefit of this sort of activity is that you make something worth doing, while meeting people. That give your relationships more depth as it would have if you just sit in a bar and trink beer or play video games (not to say that these are per se bad). Peace
  10. Thank you. But the Problem is not that I talk too much shit. There is no real problem. I realised that there are people that wouldn't achieve knowledge if it would land ready to consume on their lap. This is where I talked too much and why I used this rather offtopic title. Do you have some kind of partners in your way of self-actualizing? I have no problem with being alone, but it would be nice to have someone to share my experience in real-life with. At the same time I feel that may be not possible.
  11. Well, thank you very much. Even though I didn't ask for help. Why shouldn't I change ppl before reaching enlightment? @caterpillar True to some degree. Do you think that one have to be alone?
