  1. Never underestimate the strength of weed nowadays, especially if you've done psychedelics or meditate regularly. 5 months without smoking will make you super sensitive. When I had a 1 year break and wanted to try it again (my last time ever), I experienced ego death instantly after putting down the joint.
  2. "Care" is attachment-based thinking. God isn't reducible to that.
  3. I believe young teenagers who get into spirituality coopt the greenish "freedom" aspect to suit their red inclinations. That was atleast the case for me.
  4. So it's 9 years to 2029. What are you gonna do in the meantime?
  5. It's funny: the less I worry about ego, the less thoughts I have about it, the less thoughts I have, and the less ego I have.
  6. It's so simple, but it's also so hard
  7. @Superfluo It's not a turquoise value,
  8. The 3rd time I meditated I experienced the dissolution of myself, but I reacted in fear out of not knowing what was going on. I thought I was going insane or that I was about to disappear. I was aware of the idea of enlightenment, but I had no idea that it could happen after barely starting a meditation practice, or that it entailed actually dying.
  9. Imagine taking anything RationalWiki says seriously.
  10. To be fair, I was pretty similiar when I first discovered this stuff, but I was also abusing substances. He seems to have some trouble handling it for now, but I believe he will calm down a bit over time.
  11. @Baxman293 I've tripped during the winter in Norway outside. The only downside is how winter clothing can be a bit uncomfortable, but going for a little walk shouldn't be a problem.
  12. @Baxman293 If you feel like playing video games, do that. Do whatever you feel like doing. You should also try doing nothing: just sit or lay down and close your eyes and let things happen. Walking in nature is good. Maybe watch some videos like these:
  13. I hope it's 150 micrograms and not milligrams . Anyways, it's a mild dose so you could do it alone no problem, but you never know, so it's good to know you're safe. In general, be careful of tricking yourself into a false sense of security before the trip: you'll see right through that shit when you're tripping. It's easy to take your sober state for granted about what you can and cannot handle. Everything should basically be planned out in advance: it makes you less likely to spend your trip worrying about trivial stuff.
  14. This is kinda off topic, but since people are using Sam Harris as an example of proper articulation and rational principles, I just want to make you aware of the time he debated William Lane Craig and totally derailed the conversation into an activist shouting match by completely ignoring the debate topic in the second round. It's astonishing how atheists interpret Sam's performance in that debate as a victory for rationality and logic when it's the biggest red herring ever caught on tape
  15. I sometimes get the thought "how the fuck is this possible?", but it doesn't quite have the Sci-Fi feel, more like an existential terror feel.
  16. @Mulky Beware of spiritual OCD though with these types of techniques . It can quickly turn itself against you in my experience.
  17. Try to provoke the end of your mind: think about what happens to the mind after you die. Where do you go after you die? What is outside the universe? What is nothing? What is infinity? What existed before you were born? What existed before the universe existed? What is inside of an atom and what is inside of that? By the way, you should meditate everyday
  18. You've chosen one group of statements that cluster in the realm of relative truth and contrasted them with another group that cluster in the absolute realm, and therein lies the contradiction. Regardless, it's all One and it's all You.
  19. @freeman194673 Where in the world do parents try to come up with a last name?
