  1. Why are all of the right-wing asshole pundits necessarily happier than the liberals and progressives?
  2. Ah, so not the phony ones who are either addicted druggies or bullshiters pretending to be "spiritual." But what about very Green individuals like the progressives who are always so incredibly frustrated and unsatisfied with the amount of change that gets made in societies? Don't you think that Kyle Kulinski, the entire TYT group, Bernie, Warren, AOC and others like them don't really seem happy because of the way things have always been in our world?
  3. Then, are hippies and idealists also some of the happiest people in the world? Are liberals generally happier than conservatives?
  4. What about the corporate elites and rich folks? Why are corporate lobbyists entitled to corrupt the entire political system and government? You want to talk about bailouts, equity, lifetime welfare? Why are those who were always incredibly spoiled throughout their entire lives like Donald Trump always completely entitled to getting free bailouts from his father, sleazy lawyers, criminal loaners? Why are billionaires entitled to not give a fraction of their wealth to much needed social resources for those suffering poor individuals who no matter how hard they've tried have never been able to make it through no fault of their own? Why are many big business owners, executives, and Wall Street to constantly exploit their workers and customers financially and also get away with not paying their fair share of taxes for all of the public works that have been constructed, maintained, and will continually need to be improved throughout the entire country? Btw, why aren't members of the military, law enforcement, firefighters, construction workers, and teachers entitled to a much better pay than what they get despite the fact that they work just as hard as most of the highly successful individuals out there in the world. Leo mentioned a while ago in the pertinent question on taxation on billionaires thread that: As for his take on the necessity of billionaire businessmen: I am not trying to suck up to Leo, but from both a totally ethical and practical stand point, he's absolutely right. Your view on how a society should function is quite frankly very short-sighted, simple-minded, and genuinely uncaring of others.
  5. You know how most people around the world have been saying for decades that they are sick and tired of all of these typical politicians who say a lot of things but then always let them down by not following through with so many of their campaign promises? If that’s true, then why do most people still end up usually electing either conservatives, centrists, or establishment center-left politicians who we know most never fundamentally change the overall status quo of government and politics?
  6. I get that voters don't vote a candidate simply based on his/her policies regardless of what the policy polls say. Also, it seems pretty clear that none of these popular policies like Medicare for All, the public healthcare option, gun control regulations, paid family leave, strong laws against corporate lobbying and dark money, etc. will ever be enacted within the foreseeable future (or perhaps never during any of our lifetimes). So, what good do any of these polls do?
  7. Lately, I’ve been feeling so pessimistic about the US ever reaching solid Green or passing any solid Green policies because ever since the dawn of the republic most Americans have always been too proud of its hyper free market system. Progressives since the mid 1900s have always failed with getting any of their policies or ideas come to fruition. I even fear that our country may never go through another major transformation like it did during Jefferson’s era, Jackson’s era, Lincoln’s era, Teddy Roosevelt’s era, Wilson’s era, FDR’s era, Eisenhower's era, JFK/LBJ’s era. Even with someone like who wasn’t able to positively reform the country nearly as much as the above-mentioned presidents we were able to, we may never have another president who was as successful as he was ever again.?
  8. I used to think that all politicians needed to get as many pieces of major legislation passed as possible that would materially improve or change the lives of their constituents as much as possible because how essential that is for getting re-elected or maintaining control of either chamber of Congress. However, conservatives, centrists, and even many center-left corporate democrats have never really cared a lot about get much needed legislation passed for their constituents. Right-wing members of the Senate and the House are only are interested in passing laws that increase military spending, cracking down on crime in racists ways, increase access to more violent guns, cutting taxes for the wealthy and corporations, and reducing immigration. Progressives and liberals have even mentioned before how the most centrist congressmen, don't really care at all if not even a single thing gets passed at all through either chamber of Congress because they are always totally okay with the status quo. People like Manchin, Sinema, and some moderate conservatives Democratic House of Representatives even said at the end of the last year that they thought that it would be better if nothing pertaining to Biden's agenda gets passed through Congress if the progressives Caucus in the House didn't ever stop holding the BIF bill hostage. Center-left corporate democratic congressmen actually probably do care more than both the conservatives and the very centrists in Congress about getting something good done for their constituents. However, they still don't care quite as much as progressives do because of how much the corporate lobbying and the desire to win elections has corrupted them. Lastly, as we all know, Congress as a whole has become extremely disapproved of by the vast majority Americans in the entire country given how increasingly dysfunctional it has gotten. Yet, that doesn't seem to matter electorally for any members of Congress. That being the case, then does that mean that members of Congress can just always get away with not having any accomplished anything at all at Capitol Hill?
  9. Do you think that there will ever be any hope to improving this situation? If so, then what do you think might happen one day in the future that could or would solve this issue?
  10. But how can we ever get more liberals elected if the progressives keep turning off the great majority of the electorate?
  11. I am starting to think that the progressive need to completely change their entire strategy or they will be become a lost cause. They can't really get a damn thing done, gravely undermined the Democrats politically for several years, and pushing for so many policies that may never get passed during any of their lifetimes. So, I am thinking that they should focus campaigning on getting one major proposal enacted at a time. For instance why don't they just focus on the movement for getting a constitutional amendment enacted that would ban all private money and corporate lobbying from politics?
  12. So, then how will collecting this kind of data be beneficial or helpful for anybody?
  13. Okay, but how do these polls convince enough people to pass these policies?
  14. You must be out of the loop. Trump would still lose the presidential election according to most polls. His rallies keep getting smaller and smaller. CPAC straws polls keep getting significantly smaller and smaller. Trump is getting to be a tiring shit show. Ron DeSantis has certainly possible quite a serious threat for the country. However, I don't think that he has ever had that broad once in a generation legendary appeal like Ronald Reagan or Obama in 2008 had.
  15. Well, then like we're saying, if he comes back and makes a lot of trouble on Twitter again, then he'll be asking for a ban and perhaps even more legal trouble. Also, I am not sure if his return to twitter would help him with campaigning for another presidential run. I think Trump has really lost so much steam from the voters because of both how increasingly tired many of his current and former supporters have gotten with him. Also, he very likely will still never get back on the other big-tech platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or make any more posts on Google. Plus, his Truth Social platform has been failing hard.
  16. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/25/donald-trump-says-he-wont-return-to-twitter-if-elon-musk-reverses-ban.html https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/04/25/trump-twitter-elon-musk-reinstatement/
  17. But twitter is not a public square. If nothing about this problem gets done then all of these social media platforms will have so much blood on their hands and there will be a day of reckoning.
  18. I thought that he was definitely a libertarian. He has never liked any social spending programs that come from the government and has always spoke about how there is "too much government regulation" and that the government really needs to get out of the way as much as possible. That's why I thought he moved out of California to Texas.
  19. Of course it's not illegal to be MAGA just like it's not illegal to join a hate-group (unless I am wrong about that). I also don't believe that most of them are overt racists or rioters. However, I think that most MAGA and conservatives are covert with their racism, violence, hatred, racism, sexism, homophobia, hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty. Like you said, about 50% of Americans are stuck in the right-wing echo chambers and are getting increasingly desperate and shameless with their tactics because of how scared they over how much more socially liberal this country has gotten, their anger over not being able to repeal Obama's additional government programs that have been made permanent and irreversible, and their paranoia of socialism/communism.
  20. There are only a very few right-wing talking points that exist these days just like there are very few moderate republicans that exist today. Almost all of the reasonable right-wingers like John McCain, Collins, and Romney are gone. I am actually getting worried about that even Romney and Collins have been constantly pressured by the GOP to shift more and more to the right like the rest of party, if not one day get replaced by other MAGA freaks one of these days. Until the Conservatives and Republicans move much more back to the center their devilish rhetoric will continue to become a profound liability to the entire fabric of our society.
  21. Well, I don't think it would hurt anyone Twitter if they banned all right-wingers from their platforms. The right wingers must be stopped at all costs.
  22. He may have not be a revolutionist in the traditional sense but look at how much he and the 89th Congress back then got done. It was on the level of FDR: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Society https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/89th_United_States_Congress
