@Outer Accurate based on what exactly? Are you open to your own beliefs being wrong? -

Well I've had weird situations where couple of times on long sessions of like 3 hours or so, I will fall asleep towards the end for a couple more hours - but the transition does feel different. And when I wake up I feel incredibly rested though I guess that's not really strange. I guess what's weird about it doesn't feel so much like 'falling alseep' or waking up.. at one point when your mind is completely empty and you are just there present without a single thought for long enough it's like you enter a suspended state.. anyways only happened three times so not a big sample size to draw any conclusions from. -

Well personally I resonate with what he's saying. I never liked the term ego death tbh. -

@cirkussmile Is like that though? I mean there are Billions of of people in the world, you don't hear of thousands of enlightened people walking around? I get that most enlightened people maybe don't share that they are, but few seem to ever 'come out' and of those you need to consider that only a fraction are actually enlightened? -

I wouldn't get too caught up in it if I were you. It's one of those perspectives that sometimes happens best when you aren't trying to too hard to understand it. Also 'so what'? So what if we are all one on some level. To what extent does it matter. It's a nice 'thought', but then what. Then we pick up all our baggage and continue through life as always. -

@Peace and Love Nor did feel like you were imposing your belief on me. If anything I would love to find a legitimate indication there's something in these channelings, just haven't found any yet. Would be super exciting. -

Reasons I find these things so hard to believe is, why is there never any additional/new information that the person themselves could not have simply made up? So simple to provide some jaw dropping info if they were indeed legit. But it just all as well some made up fantasy (be clear here not saying it is, but it could be - nothing can be proven). Bring some knowledge, share a scientific discovery, why not? On and on about love etc, ok well show some love and give us renewable energy source - whatever, not even asking for smthing that complicated - point out a particular universe which has many habitable worlds. But nope, majority of the time is some hard to understand babbling. Kudos to putting that much effort into it though. -

What does it matter whether perceive it as false or no.. feels real enough - what other experience would there be with your configuration that is 'more real'. It's not false it just is what it is, and nobody can say they can prove what that exactly is- so isn't living it the best way you can the optimal solution? What is even 50-60 years more? It's a blip in 'time'. Just enjoy the ride. -

@How to be wise Sorry but I've seen self-inquiry fall under meditation, by various people. Meditation is not restricted only to quieting the mind. -
Dogsbestfriend replied to lmfao's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@How to be wise I disagree, it depends how you meditate. You shouldn't be hiding from your thoughts, you should be processing them, understanding them and in that way putting them properly to rest which is possible when you break them down to their core, their origin. Not saying other methods aren't useful, but meditation was the only one that had the really big effects. -

Blissful yes, but not constantly - when I had my big moment then yea it lasted for a period of about 2 weeks... but it was almost too euphoric then, like the floodgates had been open. Now I need like 20-30 min mediation, or longer period of mindful being (which I do most of the time anyways) to enter that state... to me there's more to just not caring what you experience, it's an active feeling of almost a cool calming breeze passing over me - tranquility, peace.. sometimes though more rarely love- I'll be honest I think that just me, I really wouldn't want to be all lovey dovey 24-7. The first two week I was an honestly it annoyed some people and then me afterwards. But it is a almost physical feeling, well it feels that way even though it's internal. -

@Aimblack Well tbh depends, I was pretty far gone in that abyss - having tried everything to get myself out, I settled on meditation as a last long shot attempt at getting out. So strange to find out that the solution to a problem you've been seeking outside for years is nowhere but inside. Just really had nothing to lose so started meditating daily before sleep.. if anyone else had told me it was the solution I would have looked at them like suuuuure... maybe it helps but... - anyways it is a lot of work, and what people mention facing the problems that cause the depression, self inquiry, those are all things you need to get through, but it does work and for me at least it felt like the difference between walking in a dark room to one where the light was turned on -

Yes can confirm, it can cure you - that doesnt mean you won't ever feel sad but yes that empty void that felt impossible to fill is not filled (which I would try with drugs/partying/girls/etc)- it's just no longer there. -

Can't relate no, that experience was not possitive for me at all.. felt super ungrounded- being pulled out of by body almost against my will. Should point out I had smoked a lot mj (which I don't anymore) after a recent awakening experience... never had any issues with it, then with everything I became extremely sensitive - and then I was with old friends and thought it would be fine but nope. I've had to stop completely with all that. Felt like I was losing 'me' entirely, and I did a couple of times.. where then I just experienced darkness .. think that was the scariest thing I've ever gone through.. Anyways don't feel like rehashing that experience right now, a lot of stuff happened. Shouldn't have been messing around in such a vulnerable state. -

@tsuki Hmm I still rarely get a buildup at the crown... other than a somewhat traumatic experience where it felt like the top of my head blew off... but yea when I have a buildup and I can't redirect it simply through willing it (guiding it downwards through simple intent), what gives me almost instant comfort/some release is placing my left hand with palm facing on my forehead.. no idea why that works. Something I tried intuitively one day. Don't know I still shake my head at all of it. -
Dogsbestfriend replied to tsuki's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@tsuki Yea I've found the easiest place to channel it to is my hands. Heart is possible but it has to be a gentles guidance there as opposed to forceful, and when you arrive just focus on your hearbeat and a warm feeling will gather there - sometimes this automatically seems to coincide with certain feelings... anyways keep in mind this is my experience don't know what/if it will work for you. More force is not always more effective, like if you try to go too fast it's like a slippery rope you can't hold onto. On the good days, when things go just right - everything goes silent, and just this light awareness is there floating - almost like a presence. It's eerie but not scary. This is me reaching, I will grant anyone that, but the presence feels like the unified fabric of consciousness. That or I have really pleasant feeling random head sensations -

Really don't see the point of it. And then people go so far as to describe people as being part this and that color... what does that even say when you really think about it, doesn't seem useful to me at all. Just another concept to create conflict, comparisons, something to grow out of imo. Have yet to see an example where it actually helps me to understand someone or myself better. I don't need a classification to help me see where a persons actions are coming from. Don't think there's a need for more methods of separation. And people are often too complex imo to be part of one group and then the advantage of the color simplification diminishes a lot .. anyways - that's just my opinion, if it others get value out of it good for them. -

Hmm this is how it started for me. It has grown more intense over time... at first I thought it was a neurological problem.. could be something to do with chakras and energies? It feels amazing sometimes, blissful - calm.. the reason I lean towards chakras as it often focuses on my 'third eye' and quite pinpoint intensely. And, it intensifies with meditation. Had an MRI just in case... with nothing showing. Being the super skeptic I am, I will be doing some other tests eventually as sometimes it's so intense, it can bother me or keep me from sleeping. Sometimes it feels like something crawling, lightly tingly over my brain... and I say my brain but sometimes I wonder if this is just how I associate an external sensation as well as we are all one.. if that makes any sense. So since my mind resides where I feel it I wonder if it's my brain at all where the feelings come from or could possibly be external? Sorry if this is vague but without knowing exactly what's going on myself I'm only left with guessing. So far it hasn't shown to be useful exactly in any way, though it makes mediation more interesting.. it's fun when I'm bored - but distracting when I'm working sometimes, though I can easily multitask when it's going on. It will actually stop sometimes or change when I touch my forehead.. which means I have no idea. Would love to know if anyone else has any insights. I think I would miss it if it went away.. other times I get fairly annoyed by it. -

@PsiloPutty Yea Dennis was an an episode of 'London Real' where he discusses it . It also used to be in his book he wrote after his brother died, but he removed it after I think the family said they didn't want that to be shared (they had final approval on the material). There's also an episode on Psychedelic salon, one of the episodes covers a panel and they discuss it in detail - think in the 300's can't remember which one Also basically just google Mckenna bad trip 88-89 and tonnes of people have written about it.
