You nailed it in this phrase: a separation of theory from Reality. Realization of emptiness, release of attachments are simple by-products of what takes place, and are not the big E (and I cringe using the word, but words are all we have in this virtual environment) . The big E simply means Clarity of Vision. Seeing everything as is. Without filters. While human filters are still present, there are much less of them, and one becomes acutely aware of them within self and others.

There is no enlightenment. It is a fairytale, right from the beginning when that first man (be it the Buddha or Jesus or what ever) realised there is nowhere to run, but here, in the world. Of course they had to sit in the cave or under a tree to see what is right under one's nose. Ironic that it spawned religious cults, books, 'teachers' (what? teach you how to be alive?), the whole spiritual business enterprise which keeps sucking human in. The Game.

If one steps away from the fairytale and looks at what is with clear eyes - true Reality is devoid of love. There is no love in nature. Love is an entirely human concept. As any concept, it has become subject to numerous discussion and poetic expression.

There is something for you to look at in that first sentence you wrote. Regarding witholding... Jed doesn't withold anything, except the last piece: there is no such thing as 'enlightement'. P, the real questions,, why he needed the business proposals.. why he wanted an ashram, and I said this would never happen.. and it will not, unless he drops his annonymity, which is highly unlikely. I asked him why anonymity, when I already know him, and hence.. what else is behind this crazy desire to keep a secret? What is he hiding from? I asked him about his little adventures here in Cam. I asked him why he spent 12 years in SE Asia, and I know from experience what white dudes do here. I asked him why he blocked the search facility for non members on the forum only two days after I mentioned it, and he denied this was in any way connected. I asked him if he saw me in Snooky, and he came up with a story which was not true. I asked him why he said he said he was in xx when in reality he was still in Cambodia, and I showed him how I know... etc. etc. etc. The endless list of lies, and for what? I asked him real questions, and with each lie or half baked reply I started to see the Reality behind it all. And then there was completely nothing, even though I had already been cooked two years prior. The final piece fell into place. Jed knows I see what he sees, but he will say I am crazy, Never mind. I wasn;t crazy when he came to check me out without even telling me. Sherlock Homes. I am mirroring to him what he is, and he is policing the forum now and has set up his shop in the open. I see the Game. Once upon a time I didn;t see any of it, but I have an inquisitive mind and a very good bs detector. He knows that too. Deeds versus words. Words are a penny a dozen. Reality is a good teacher. And I got the final piece of the puzzle.

I asked him the real questions. The ones he couldn;t answer. From that - I got it all.

There is not contrast. Every 'teacher' out htere says the same stuff, but expresses it differently. Jed expressed it with force, that is all. He also said 'All is available for direct knowing' That is correct. He cannot give you or anyone what is already there. You only need to start asking questions, REAL questions, not the conceptual questioning which is what he is doing now. Why? Because if real questions are asked - the Game is over. Jed needs to eat too.

The Navigator, yes. The forum has been nothing but a recruitment ground. One of the very first rants Jed made when he opned it was 'Requests for Business Ventures' where he asked people to write to him with possible suggestions. That is another thing which I don;t know of.. yet. He deleted that one recently, but I have a copy somewhere. Books provide income, but not as much as you would like to think. And Cambodian medical system, if to the Western standard - is ferousously expensive. Ohterwise one would die here, expats suffle off the mortal coil here every week, some cannot afford the treatment., and Jed is not that young.
