From my experience the mind shuts off like a computer so memory of it isn’t available. But if a dream comes up it turns on and your consciousness witnessing it so imo it was always there. I know someone who said he can be conscious during deep sleep but I didn’t really understand what he experience.

Happiness isn’t to be found in the flow of life. It’s a useful concept because it makes you stop for a sec the pursue. Your inherent being is happiness and joy. Your job is to unveil everything that gets in your way of finding it. Hint: Not dealing with your emotions, monkey mind, addictions, constant distractions etc..

He assumes that everyone experiencing the same.. Most humans consciousness is veiled by feelings, thoughts and distractions. The work is to unveil It.

@K Ghoul There is a point in what you’re saying..The suffering in my life brought me to where I am. But also I am biased towards wealth because my upbringing allowed me to take some time off and focus on spirituality. Interesting how sometimes we think we help but maybe we damage the work.. Hahahahaha no. If God would define himself by us we were in trouble.? We mistaken the word God many times because of conditioning that were taught to us in childhood.. From my current experiencing God is more of a source that radiate itself through everything. So there is the foundation of everything(Unseen) and reality(the seen). Of course it’s a dual explanation and God is non dual so he is basically everything all together. My advice is not to try to understand It intellectually rather experience It for yourself. Those question are distractions from doing the work.

in my opinion it needs to go hand by hand..The "spiritual" side will help you avoid many traps and therefor get there quicker. Imagine you're a homeless but you are awaken to your true nature, you will still need a way to take care of your survival. It basically means that you need to develop certain skills on top of spiritual progress. Hope it helps
