  1. You're partially divine, otherwise you wouldn't have freewill, "made in the image of God". Guilt innocence, theft, murder, lying etc would mean nothing. The Leibniz conception of freewill extending only as far as taste is insufficient. As you're partially made in the image of God, you may in fact be immortal. However as you are not the totally of the Godhead which would mean nothing, that is not a certainty. Satanic influence may see you burning in hell. The Ego is self regulating, as a far as I can tell. (Jungian conception). Nature to be commanded, must be obeyed. - Francis Bacon. Nature is a limit. All creation comes from God. Power unlimited POWER!
  2. Conservative is lame duck. Even savagery wins.
  3. @Andreas No. Sometimes there maybe 2 poor options, and be required to choose the lesser evil. I think the point is the imperative to try and do good. Was always a bit frustrated in the past with discussions with Ancaps. Where someone could be drowning in the lake. And they'd not see any obligation theoretically to help. If cautiously.
  4. @AndreasIs it unethical to not do something ethical? Yes it is. The question is the consequences.
  5. Powerful quote. Not a Sufi, looking on Wikipedia.
  6. Hmm I didn't intend that. Had a break in Internet, rural area.
  7. Flagged for annihilation from existence.
  8. Flagged for annihilation from existence.
  9. Stop fucking about and get vengeance or justice.
  10. I would be inclined to say no. But, it sure does feel like it sometimes. What's important is the choice.
  11. Shakespeare's last play. "The Tempest", comes to mind. It is based around prosperity/purpose. "Prospero" is the main character. It deals with sacredness(Holy), and the profane(Not Holy). I would say Metaphysics is dependent on God or a Logos(emergent orderliness). Daoism based on tautology, is worth looking into. A Pilgrim's Regress C.S Lewis is a lot more complex to understand. And worth looking into, his reasoning, observations of history and events, leads to Panentheism. Village banter(talk) or Grimm's Fairy tales (German Children's stories). Was trying to think of more subtle truths, than perhaps more major ones, that may be incorrect. Ones that have stood the test of time(lasted), so to speak. A broader base(like a Pyramid) that maybe partially right, than something narrower that maybe wholly wrong. It is the sensible route, but not the spiritual one. Although not without use. Daoism(Tao Te Ching): A tautological approach to reality. http://www.with.org/tao_te_ching_en.pdf The book is excellent. Christopher Langan's CTMU (a super tautology) is perhaps a more technical explanation, although is more complex, sentence wise to understand. A Pilgrims Regress: An exploration of metaphysics and human approaches to life, but rather cold and unsensitive. Noumena.(The unseen): A term worth looking into that refers to, the unseen and inference.
  12. Subtle truths, not really sure. 1)Metaphysics. 2) The Unconscious. Meister Eckhart, Freud, Jung. 3) Theology. 4) The Supernatural & Evil. 5) Pickup Artistry. 6) Sales. 7) Grimm's Fairy Tales. 8) Economics. 9) Poetry. 10) Village Banter.
  13. Kind of the same thing. Allow relationship to develop.
  14. Nuclear wasteland. Mad Max. Focus on meeting the needs of the person "Self Actualized", as opposed to rudimentary instruction and education. Following the Logos of creation, not indoctrination or utilitarian subjective whim. A Basic income would be possible, maybe not at the moment with the level of population; regulations and doubled up taxes. Computing technology has made possible many, many times the production of the past. Where has it all gone? BS Bureaucracy, political goals.
  15. “Consciousness”: Wheeler emphasizes the difficulty of making a general distinction between the form of information processing characteristic of humans, and that characteristic of various complex systems and devices that may or may not be “conscious”. “The line between the unconscious and the conscious begins to fade…” he states; “We may someday have to enlarge the scope of what we mean by a ‘who’.” The term who, he suggests, is too specific to man, life and consciousness; its anthropic connotations are anti-Copernican, while the concepts of life and consciousness are subject to revision as science advances. “It would seem more reasonable,” he suggests, “to dismiss for the present the semantic overtones of ‘who’ and explore and exploit the insights to be won from the phrases, ‘communication’ and ‘communication employed to establish meaning.’”21 - Christopher Langan, CTMU.
  16. I look for the source, before I look at someone's interpretation. As raw as you can get. Also if you look at changing your metaphysic or lack there of, it will change how you look at everything. ------------------- Look for used book stores, as a good source: Charity or Thrift shops, Ebay can be good. If you get the Annual subscription to Audible it works out quite cheap. If you can maintaining concentrating better reading do that. Whatever best suits your time constraints. -------------------------- Instead of Carl Sagan. Copernicus. Instead of Sigmund Freud. Meister Eckhart 1260-1328. A nod to (literal reincarnation...…..) from Eckhart Tolle..... Instead of Alan Watts. Lao Tzu. Tao Te Ching. ( a short book, easy to read, this is a good translation http://www.with.org/tao_te_ching_en.pdf ) If you want to listen to OSHO's books and speech, audible is an excellent place. I do not recommend OSHO, I would be very careful listening to him, as well as all public spiritual gurus. ---------------------- Otherwise just listen and read how and what pleases and you enjoy the most. Collective Ego can be essential to survival. Going hardcore may not be a good idea.
  17. Do what is emotionally difficult, without fear of rejection or failure. Steps would depend on the destination.
  18. Can be £10,000+ I knew someone who played in a Brass band. They played an instrument the size of a bugle, it wasn't though.
  19. God is not, The Devil is The Devil.
  20. I think in the "Book of Not knowing." or perhaps the "Genius of Being" Peter Ralston mentioned Isaac Newton, as a figure of interest. I think Peter Ralstons books are better than Spinoza "The Ethics"(already a duality). Anyway, Spinoza's Modal logic from what I understand leads to the "Many Worlds Hypothesis." (in stark contrast to Leibniz best of all possible worlds) If Spinoza was really a Pantheist, there is or was no Spinoza. Being a Panentheist, means therefore that there are indeed multiple dimensions and you are God(Gnostic God). Also the Bible doesn't make sense if the Trinity is used as a metaphysical doctrine, although it appeals to Ego. A few Panentheists. C.S Lewis. Isaac Newton. Christopher Langan. Heraclitus. Tolkien (Maybe) Norse Paganism had 2 opposing Panenthons. Lord Krishna(Maybe) Possibly thee Panentheist, one half. Jesus Christ (John 14:20) Possibly thee Panentheist, one half. God the Father. Creator Diety. I'm not a Christian, but I think it's probably true. Probably. Would like to try and understand Christopher Langans CTMU, to flesh things out. A more secular understanding. Process of elimination, might as well look for what's on offer, cross off the list.
  21. Probably "Make Friends and influence people" is a good book, working through the Ego being the most direct way. I reckon there is a price you pay though.
  22. Look for books or articles several hundred years in the past. The readership was a lot smaller, so the quality is likely to be higher. The downside is they may not appeal to your Ego. They may also be potentially more useful, but also potentially more corrupting. Embrace danger, but look to mitigate damage.
