  1. Apparently Jung considered his "answer to Job" his best Work. You might want to read it, Many self help authors reference Jung. I haven't read it, but his conclusion is something like God is not Moral, if he were he wouldn't be all knowing. In that sense man maybe, superior to God. Whether you want to say the self is equivalent to a spiritual entity(God), or a meat bag collection of cells. The self you perhaps could say is not moral. It is the ego that is moral. Got the flu myself, so not going to expend much brainpower for now, No God yet!!! or period, like to see how different things contrast.
  2. 5- Thinker & 4 - Individualist lean towards 6 (loyalist) though. Need to work on being more 4. I guess it depends on how you perceive the World. In my perception Tony Blair, Obama, Bush, are not peacemakers, based on death tolls, some very horrific, like continued use of phosphorous weapons, maybe flamethrowers would be more humane, but the perception does not look as good. Add to that destruction of infrastructure. However it's entirely possible, they see themselves as Peacemakers. And are widely seen as peacemakers. Perhaps a correction mechanism. I guess if you were genuinely enlightened it wouldn't apply, you wouldn't care and invest ego in it. Even everyday, things Nursery school teacher is probably a nine, eight or seven, but if she goes around phoning up parents, social services, unless she's in a nice area, might not last long. If the parents have any number of potential problem. Who knows? Like Drug dealing on the street, you see it, but you don't see it...… I guess like the pink gorilla thing or something like that. Numerous diagrams online obviously, pinch of salt stuff. Be interesting to watch the video on perception. The unconscious is powerful.
  3. Prefreewill - The ultimate autosave, well I fucked that up badly, shit my hard drive is corrupted!!!!!!
  4. Yes I was thinking the same thing, Instead of posting why not read OSHO's book's or something. Queued responses. Nothing that can be trusted in experience. Enlightened or not. If not experience however then what? Inductive, problem of reasoning. Intellectual energy. There is no one on this forum that I really trust, so tend to keep with knowledge, state of confusion or consumption. "As for a quest for fire", enlightenment, wasting time here. How many people here actively attend spirituality seminars or activities with other people? Maybe quite a few, I don't know.
  5. @Shin Are you getting at the concept of "shin-den?" Read about the concept literally yesterday, probably some collective unconscious influence. The idea that if someone is enlightened one with God, and that the apprentice is willing to learn or work, the master should have no problem sharing his insights and experiences. Ninja or some crap.
  6. Not that anyone cares, but WinterKnight, is based on David Copperfield an illusionist. Litterally a few seconds google search shows, it to be the case. A least according to google...... All fun I guess, till it's not.
  7. You could listen to "The Ethics" on Audible. I didn't pay much attention to the beginning section, on modal logic. The emotion section might be useful, but he flips the "ought and is". So as he says he, can conceive of absolute infinity, as the highest human faculty, he then goes on to say how you ought to act with emotions and how they play a role in human decisions. There's a video somewhere on YouTube by Rebecca Goldstein about Spinoza. So perhaps he is enlightened, although equally he could be broken, down through Ego Death, possibly soul death. Although probably highly productive unit/ant, the reasoning I'm not so sure on given the offshoot of Hegel, contributing to mass Imperialism around the globe, Manifest Destiny, and millions dead. The last chapter, has him arguing for a welfare state, that must be maintained with terror. Kind of a "Blood and Iron" view. In terms of raw power and dangerous books, wondering if anyone knows any. In terms of concentrated reasoning, Government is madness. Collectivism is not necessarily so, I think Aristotle would agree. Given Individualism means idiocy in ancient Greek.
  8. Collective Ego. Purple/animism is the beginning of politics. The rest proceeds from there. Red/shamanism, or ancestor worship. Blue beginning of a code of behaviour(morality). Orange/Individualism(Ethics). Green I think gets way overused, many of the "progressives" are armed with baseball bats, can see them on the net, most of what is green is probably purple/animals. I think the idea that someone can be only one stage is garbage, at least in Freudian school you have complexes, that interfere with consciousness, so people act like animals in politics, totally ignoring presumption of innocence and at least all things potentially being equal, which they aren't. Equity I think is a better concept than equality, but I go with the classical definition, given the decay of general human I.Q.
  9. @Serotoninluv I think even running for supreme court judge, you have to have purpose that goes beyond rational calculation. I remember backpacking once in Canada, was staying with a fundamentalist Christian, woman, certain strength in believing in God with every fibre of your being. Went to see a horseshow in Calgary, was funny because they had a skeleton of a horse, that had become extinct, before the horse was reintroduced by Europeans. I see it more as a line in the sand, irreconcilable differences. To not think about politics, would be ace, more interested in some of the knowledge that can be drawn out of it. Progressivism at what cost and is it worth it? If it's inevitable, the question itself is meaningless, perhaps like Hegel. But to eliminate the notion of the future and be enlightened, what meaning does progressivism have when the notion of the future is eliminated, none. Is there anything potentially more addictive than politics? Love it, or Hate it.
  10. @Leo Gura I didn't trust how the judge Kavanaugh allegation was handled, in fact it was an outright hit piece, but that's politics. No doubt in my mind he was not guilty, let alone presumption of innocence. Especially accusing him just, before being confirmed, and the accuser lying about fear of flying, when she had multiple holidays to Hawaii. Not having her story straight or at least contacting others. If you mean the Democrats ultimately winning for the next several decades, whether Trump gets re-elected or not, I have almost no doubt, given demographics. Democrats are more evolved, but so are many other species including rats & alligators. Evolution being dependent on an in group, or similarity/collective ego. Progress towards what. Any meat of the issue is there. The system is not democratic because a commission gets the final say. Perhaps like a senate, or house of lords, although that's more of a Republic. But even with the USA, numbers matter in a democracy. Whatever group is the largest wins. Pragmatism, at its finest. Which is why Hilary lost(Despite other things……………..), remnants of a Republic.
  11. Tyranny for the foreseeable future. The rest is window dressing.
  12. I look at whoever the media is criticising or whatever I feel is omitted, like if they only support one side or press one issue constantly. Then look for contrary sources. Advertisers affect obviously what and how the media can report on, seeing someone's head being sawn off on day time Tv probably not a good association for Head and Shoulders. Watched a video with Ken Wilber talking about, immigration and Trump. Pointed out the hypocrisy of the Left for pointing "child caging under Obama" and not going ape shit. (16:10) Personally I dislike both Left and Right. The Left generally because of their hypocrisy and the Right, arguing over petty egoic shit and not at least sharing wider information. Thought it was interesting Ken Wilber seemed to take a balanced view, so I'll probably read his books at some point. Although at first glance, looks too similar to Jung if "The Daily Evolver" is anything to go by, which seems very biased. Mostly though more interested in constructing my own filter, as firm as possible. It's kind of annoying to see how many people use Carl Jung's work, and put their spin on it. Sometimes it might be an improvement but not very rarely imo. Ideally would like to get at the root of at least, much book knowledge. If many self help books build on the bible, read the bible. As far as written language goes I want the raw feed, though I may cringe.
  13. If your consciousness is objectively constructed, the people who you relate to, will determine the meaning you assign to life. Living on an atoll within a tribe of cannibals, what are the possible meanings? 1) Screw more. 2) Do drugs or expand consciousness, collect objects, venture into the unknown) 3)Not get eaten.
  14. @Girzo Get something with a warranty. I guess the Aesthetics of Apple is the selling point, but I have seen a few videos online, that the construction often means they can heat up a lot, and sometimes there's a lack of vents, that get blocked or even end up sucking in dust. The capacitors aren't necessarily, the best with the small construction and power usage. I use a Dell M2800, which I bought off Ebay but, that's a standard size 15'6 laptop. I like the rugged construction, built in GPU, ports, DVD drive etc. Wouldn't mind getting a lighter laptop. I guess a Dell XPS or maybe Apple, are the main ones, for ultra portable. If it's only for notes however, why not get a tablet? Like a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Can get a keyboard and case to prop it up for notes. Even more portable than a laptop, and easy to charge. Can get a simcard slot as well with the tab.
  15. Can't remember which self help book, but a lot of South Korean Master Go players had I.Q's below average. I guess if you only play GO everyday for like 30 years flat, you'll probably get good at it, all that circuitry that getting wired, in lieu of other things. I think I.Q can be an initial barrier or retard progress, but is not crucial, for certain things past an initial threshold. Like riding a bike.
  16. The quote itself, is a disinformation and distraction, whether the author would consider it censorship. It does not inform of anything in particular, insinuates a definition, but instead puts forward vacuity. Instead propaganda is a closer description. ------------------- I usually try to see if there is anyone better, or different out there somewhere. Too much growth without purpose, is generally called cancer in people. I guess reading or listening to novels can help, get a longer stream of consciousness, that you don't get with short serials. In the smaller context quotes don't necessarily mean much, without the wider context. I remember a quote from a Daoist text by Chuang Tzu. Something like, "your life is short, knowledge is not, if you value knowledge you will be in trouble."
  17. Swing low, sweet chariot.
  18. @Greatnestwithin Oh right, I meant literally... Logically I see no separation. Maybe there is though, I guess it depends on how you define separation? Figured might as well try and line the threads up. If all concepts are illusion(means not to play, delusion: to play) maybe could try and construct them as firm as possible. Whether it all comes crashing down, no idea. "Threads" is a good documentary movie.
  19. Sane meaning health, and health meaning virtue. Yeah I'm fairly insane, not totally... I think.... Things like smoking and obesity are some prominent ones...... I'd say government as well.... Madness being relative. The majority of the world seems to be insane though, well at least there's company. I don't think I've really seen an online persona that is not in someway insane.
  20. Own words? Difficult, maybe impossible. Mutually assured destruction. Sort of like the scorpion crossing the river, on a frogs back.
