  1. That's a groundless assumption stated as a fact. The harm is in confusion caused to minds of people reading essays like this one. You are free to have an opinion, just don't express it with a tone of authority.
  2. @Salvijus because logic is highly susceptible to be faulty when you lack direct experience. For example, in my experience psychedelics make you more grounded while you say the opposite thing.
  3. @andyjohnsonman You have to do Pranayama. in fact, you can skip everything else but it. You don't buy his book for the talk, you buy it for those few short technique descriptions. Then you start to practice them and only then you judge whether it's effective or not.
  4. @PetarKa Beware of opinions of people who have not tried psychedelics or got scared off them for some unusual reason. Unless you are a teenager or mentally ill, psychedelics are 100% for you to try. Start with something like LSD and dedicate yourself to tripping at least a dozen times before you judge them. I've experienced almost no side-effects from psychedelics, like most people. They are extremely safe and effective, but you have to be responsible.
  5. @Aquarius Yes you are a little bit childish. The whole thread is. You are only 21 years old, so it's expected and you have a time to mature so don't worry.
  6. And I am just sitting there, thinking that you are simply still inexperienced and a little bit immature, @Aquarius. Continue exploring, do the self-dev work and you will outgrow all your perceived problems, whether dating related or not.
  7. To get back on the topic, I wish Martin to come back to health soon! He has created many admirable works of art, like this song: It really sucks that he has to go through it all. It doesn't matter whether psychedelics have played a role or not.
  8. @outlandish I have never tried a combination of MAOi + DPT, but know a person who is saying good things about the DPT + Moclobemide mix. Cleansing. That's the word!
  9. I would like to highlight that it's only a personal conclusion, not a proven fact. As now, we don't know yet if the human body produces DMT purposefully at all. Here's a quote from Strassman himself: Taken from: https://erowid.org/chemicals/dmt/dmt_article2.shtml
  10. If you really believe that animals don't suffer, then whatever, there's no discussion. Enjoy your karma.
  11. They are less moral than someone who doesn't eat meat. Enlightenment doesn't make your human persona perfect. Applying a non-dual perspective to relative problems is a definition of devilry. You can justify anything that way. Can I cut your head off? I promise I will do it swiftly and you won't suffer. Your belief that humans are higher then other animals is an ungrounded assumption. To be clear, I am not against eating meat. I am against stupid arguments for it.
  12. It doesn't deserve discussion but bashing with a stick. Does that give you a right to kill other human beings? Stop whitewashing unnecessary harm, which eating meat from animals is.
  13. I believe his condition might be heavily influenced by the use of psychedelics. Martin has been using vaporization route and enormous doses, which is far from typical usage, so no wonder he experiences drastic side-effects. This plus personal predispositions.
  14. @Matt8800 Not for eating meat, but for framing it in such a way. Eckhart Tolle doesn't go around telling people how you can kill animals, because we are all one and in the end, their bodies are only a matter.
  15. So here you hear about such a person. It's indeed a case that people become vegetarian after NDE or mystical experience. It's also not like it's rare. About the rest of the points. Sir, you are a devil.
  16. Update your browser or change to Chrome, it doesn't have such problems.
  17. For me it's a burning of desires that happens as you progress with practice. You lose interest in pursuing money, sex, etc. and stop doing unnecessary harm. You fall in love with God instead. Almost every spiritual book has a chapter on it, so read them all.
  18. It's easy to snort, fruity smell and minimal burning. The only problem is the amount of powder required on higher doses, for some it might be too much.
  19. DPT, DPT, DPT! I have 5 grams of this stuff still waiting for me. It will be probably a life-time supply. It can be the most bening or the most terrifying psychedelic you have tried. Luckily, the experience is predictable, but also very dose dependable. And every ROA has different dosages. Here I will go with insufflated. 35 mg - no visuals, nothing remarkable, threshold for an 80 kg male. 50 mg - nice, pleasant 1 hour trip, in social setting effects are diminished, tripping solo potentiates them, visuals are colorful and different than shrooms or acid, weak afterglow. 70 mg - powerful visuals, everything melts and you cannot really move, can be scary if someone has no experience, DPT characteristic effects start to emerge, that means intense, uncontrolable body shaking and kinetic hallucinations, music is distorted, but still sounds godlike, 2 hours trip and 1 hour of the best afterglow of all psychedelics. Like really, DPT is the most useful after the main trip ends. There's a very steep curve in effects, the trip ends almost like someone has turned off a switch and you are left with super-clear and creative headspace, without any psychedelics distortions. You can easily write text or draw and benefit from altered consciousness state. Great for contemplation. 90 mg - total breakthrough, you fear death and then die, in order to become Singularity, physical effects in the beginning can get really intense and scary, it has a long-term positive impact on life and of course gives awesome afterglow at the end of the trip. And here's one try smoked: 20 mg freebase - the moment I have released the smoke from my lungs, the world has already started flashing with neon lights, the smoke looked terrific and everything would be awesome if not for the nausea, the first 15 most intense minutes of 45 minutes trip are wasted on resisting bodyload, interesting changes in body feel, I have literally transformed into a werewolf, there were lightnings hitting me from every direction and overall I would say that this substance has a kundalini vibe, if that even makes sense. Verdict: very useful for consciousness work, but not only, it has the potential to induce a breakthrough experience and can be consumed in many forms, you can even make something like propylhauasca from it.
  20. I think it's a personality type of thing. Some people have it easier than you, because they are more inclined to be emotionally stable. I believe I am that kind of person so the solution proposed might be not sophisticated or powerful enough for your needs, but here it goes. Have a mantra that will pierce through your fears. For example this part from Psalm 23: It has to be something you belive in and sacred. I get shivers when I hear these words. Other than that, you need a solid theorethical foundation on topics of good and evil, self-honesty, surrender, etc.
  21. It is powerful. Way more powerful than anything else I have tried. Maybe a few long meditation retreats in a year would be comparable, but they take more hours.
  22. I would love to randomly get bombarded with quotes from OSHO's "Love, Freedom, Aloneness" or Rumi's poetry by some chick.
  23. The problem with truth is that it's an almost empty word for me. I don't really know where it points to. On the other hand, I know exactly what happiness means. When I recall a mystical experience my body shivers from the reminiscence of the sweetest sweetness there is. Happiness is that sweetness. I want to go full monty and overflow with it every minute, every hour. That's why I do yoga. If the action taken is the same as if I was pursuing Truth, then I don't see a problem.
