  1. If you live in any first world country, you are that rich kid.
  2. @sarapr Are you jealous? Hahaha Well, its hard to say.. A lot of the rich kids I know are extremely clingy to the materialist paradigm, its hard for them to look inward, its quite terrifying to them just for second to look beyond the ego. They smile, but for some, the neurotic type, suffer tremendously.. so, I would never trade for a richer life. Once you grasp the potential of going fully inward, being overly materialistic wont make sense, because you know it wont fulfill you. All of those rich kids are optimizing for the wrong things. They want happiness, but just take a look, whatever they have, they aren't content for long.

  7. Last night was the first time I ever went to a consciousness event, and I would like to share the experience for anyone who is interested. The Event was hosted by a Church, and it was an evening talk by Adyashanti. The event had about 150 participants, and it began with 15 minutes of Noble Silence. From there, Adyashanti opened up and talked a bit about his background and how meditation and self inquiry impacted his life. He spoke about some common things we encounter along this path for about 40 minutes. After that, he opened up the floor for any questions we had. This was my favorite part. The first person to question walked up eagerly. He was excited to get his question out, and so he proceed. He quoted Adya in one of his books, and he was curious about Proper Speech in day to day scenarios. Him and Adya went back and fourth in dialogue for a few minutes, and then there was a sudden pause. The whole room was very silent, and Adya asked, "So why are you reeeeally asking this question?" Then, to my surprise, a wave of compassion washed over the room, and it was very silent for at least 2 minutes... The man started to cry his eyes out. Adya, with the upmost compassion, spoke gently, "Yeah.... (long pause)... I sensed that was the case...." The man tried to speak but Adya offered to meet up with him after the event and discuss the issue in great detail. (From what we know, the man got injured in the military somehow...)
  8. If you want to study a bit of Spirituality in the Hindu Culture, here you go.
  9. @Max_V What about having a tab for insights and learning points? LMFAO. I use OneNote and A physical notebook, but I am planning once a week to reflect on the insights of the week.
  10. @Sahil Pandit This was such a powerful experience, I had never seen something like it before. Adya is clearly a master and he embody's his teachings. What took me by surprise the most was how he handled the experience when the man had started crying. I had never seen someone so clearly understanding of what was going on (I was sitting in the back, confused, looking for answers as to what was going on) That dialogue alone made the whole trip worth it.
  11. @Jaydubb_os Good work Jay, Did you minimize, digitally as well? For me, that was huge. The results come pouring in abundance months after you initially minimize. Slow, Deliberate, Mindful, Action. The more i repeat this to myself, the better I feel! Hope this helps.
  12. @Joseph Maynor Thanks for the link my friend, off to integrate it!
  13. I have been contemplating about my relationship to Enlightenment work lately, and I believe my mind is wired to do this type of work. I am an INFJ personality type, and have been asking the question "Who am I?" Since i was 14. People thought I was an idiot. Lucky enough, I found out early how deep of question this is, and now am putting forth the work in order to advance in the field. With that being said, I would like to become more ambitious in my pursuits in this work. My culture allows for yoga and all types of weirdness, which I plan on taking full advantage of. Doing yoga and eating sattvic + SDS, Meditation, Labeling, Self Inquiry and 1 solo retreat a month, minimum. Being an INFJ has created lots of opportunity for growth in this area, and I am looking for some advice from others who know about this mysterious personality type what else I could do to triple down. Best, Your friend Sahil

  16. Hello all, I am currently using OneNote to take daily inventory about insights I have in life and in books. Yesterday, I discovered a software called "XMIND" and it allows for awesome mind mapping content. Does anyone recommend any other type of software for PD? (I also use Adobe Acrobat to read PDFs I download from the Web)
  17. @John Iverson Chapter 11 my friend, Chapter 11...
  18. @F A B Couple it with Mula Bandha in your yoga practice, thank me later.
  19. The downside to Simplicity, after minimizing my whole Life, from what I found, is that reality is much more complex than I could ever imagine. Its funny how, when you have a lot of "things" you believe you have everything figured out and life is taking care of itself... Meanwhile, when you eliminate all that is unnecessary, your mind opens up to a whole new realm of unlimited possibilites.
  20. Almost all of us have years of Neurotic holding patterns in our body. What are you doing to release those? Lots of these bodily tensions are psychosomatic. Love yourself fully and accept your bodily fully as it is. Its yours, treat it well and give it all your respect.

  22. @Sahil Pandit Possibly a daily habit in the making. Also, I will be buying the Kundalini Book from @Leo Gura's book list. Doing lots of yoga, pranayama, mindfulness training, all that good stuff, but I am craving taking things to the next level! Adyashanti is coming to Sacramento on Sunday so I will be attending that and I plan on a solo retreat perhaps next month.
  23. Hello All Today was my first day doing a Strong Determination sit, and I managed to do 56 minutes completely interrupted. The pain, oh the pain, was so soothing I was able to directly experience the 5th dimension as well as sense where my masculine energy is exuberating from. Where to next my friends?
