  1. @Debrag Fastest way would probably be SDS (Strong Determination Sitting) or extreme concentration practice to induce a Samadhi state (The first time I did it was by looking at an hourglass with upmost concentration for 1 hour straight.) Its hard for the first 5 minutes but after than you can do it, if your will is strong enough.
  2. Hello everyone, I need your advice. I have discovered that I no longer want to go school in person. Rather, I want to learn fully online, 100%. With that being said, I wanted to ask you, do you think this is worthwhile? Are you aware of how flexible it allows you to be? Also, do you have any experience with it? If you do, please reach out to me!!
  3. Nothing can make you angry unless you give it permission. Have you noticed that if you're completely detached and you let reality take place, that, without a doubt, things will unfold how they should? The higher your level of awareness, the more you can, sit back and just watch things unfold. Its quite magnificent to be a spectator of. You are spectating from No Thing. Just observe, when you sink into that awareness, in the this moment, things are just happening as they will. Why not be completely open right now? Put your attention to your heart and let go. Give it a try. Hope this little reminder helps.

  6. @deci belle Good point, emotional labor is a constant process. Its a skill that never truly gets mastered, only gets stronger. You can always give more of yourself, would you say?

  8. Last night I did my second mushroom trip. I had prepared with a massive 21 hour fast. It was a religious holiday so I was fine tuned for a great experience. I drank 1g of mushroom tea at about 7pm, with the intention to stay up as long as I could. (I ended up falling asleep around 3am.) This trip was all brutally honest, and I went in with the mentality that I wanted to God to chop my head off. (I was fully surrendering as much as I possibly could.) Within the first 40 minutes, I was watching a religious festival on YouTube and I was dancing like a mad man. I had never let go of self consciousness to this degree before. Being and INFJ, i am always watching my tendancies like a hawk, ive spent tens of thousands of hours doing so. FOR THE FIRST TIME in years, I was able to dance and realize the depth of my self judgement, it was quite shocking to see how much a single judgement can hold back and authentic experience wanting to arise! About two hours in, things had slowed down a bit. My body was in a state of ecstacy since it had shook out all of the energy that would bring it down. I realized that depression can only happen in the body, so it is important to keep the body in a state of flow and never to neglect it, or else you will develop neurotic holding patterns. I realized this later with my jaw, since I have a very tight left jaw. Also, this prevents the throat chakra from opening up, which hindered my experience quite a bit. Insight #2: Everything is connected to everything else. I began to laugh hysterically laugh and I started to engage in a self dialogue about how everything is connected. It started off slowly, but it quickly ramped up and I was jumping out my seat during the trip saying things to my self like, "Its all one? Its all one!!! HAHAAHHAA. This is SO OBVIOUS! How could anyone miss this?" I was crying my eyes out, it was quite a beautiful sight, although I did look like i was mad Insight #3: The Kundalini wants to arise naturally, but blocks prevent it. I began to use my third eye to analyze my energy and what I discovered was that my Kundalini was arising spontaneously. However, I was having difficulty getting the heart chakra and throat chakra open. This led to a lot of sounds in my throat and in my lower abs, some of it because I was deeply fasted. Regardless, I must spend more time opening those areas that are weak, because there is only a couple areas left to manage. Insight #4: Reality warps based on your Perception Remember that video, "Perspective Destroys Reality?" That was happening to me while I was deeply conscious and it was quite scary. I could hear cars going by outside and sometimes there would be loud, low consciousness music playing and I was go into it immediately like it was a trance. This was quite a scary experience because at that point I had surrendered all control. BUT, this flip flopping of awareness into different beliefs and then going meta is extremely important in not getting stuck into a single minded way of thinking. I am going to make sure I am cognizant of this in the future. Those are just some of the insights, besides that, I feel more open, more clear minded, more open to experience, more creative, spontaneous, overall just a healthier human being
  9. If you live in any first world country, you are that rich kid.
  10. @sarapr Are you jealous? Hahaha Well, its hard to say.. A lot of the rich kids I know are extremely clingy to the materialist paradigm, its hard for them to look inward, its quite terrifying to them just for second to look beyond the ego. They smile, but for some, the neurotic type, suffer tremendously.. so, I would never trade for a richer life. Once you grasp the potential of going fully inward, being overly materialistic wont make sense, because you know it wont fulfill you. All of those rich kids are optimizing for the wrong things. They want happiness, but just take a look, whatever they have, they aren't content for long.

  15. Last night was the first time I ever went to a consciousness event, and I would like to share the experience for anyone who is interested. The Event was hosted by a Church, and it was an evening talk by Adyashanti. The event had about 150 participants, and it began with 15 minutes of Noble Silence. From there, Adyashanti opened up and talked a bit about his background and how meditation and self inquiry impacted his life. He spoke about some common things we encounter along this path for about 40 minutes. After that, he opened up the floor for any questions we had. This was my favorite part. The first person to question walked up eagerly. He was excited to get his question out, and so he proceed. He quoted Adya in one of his books, and he was curious about Proper Speech in day to day scenarios. Him and Adya went back and fourth in dialogue for a few minutes, and then there was a sudden pause. The whole room was very silent, and Adya asked, "So why are you reeeeally asking this question?" Then, to my surprise, a wave of compassion washed over the room, and it was very silent for at least 2 minutes... The man started to cry his eyes out. Adya, with the upmost compassion, spoke gently, "Yeah.... (long pause)... I sensed that was the case...." The man tried to speak but Adya offered to meet up with him after the event and discuss the issue in great detail. (From what we know, the man got injured in the military somehow...)
  16. If you want to study a bit of Spirituality in the Hindu Culture, here you go.
  17. @Max_V What about having a tab for insights and learning points? LMFAO. I use OneNote and A physical notebook, but I am planning once a week to reflect on the insights of the week.
  18. @Sahil Pandit This was such a powerful experience, I had never seen something like it before. Adya is clearly a master and he embody's his teachings. What took me by surprise the most was how he handled the experience when the man had started crying. I had never seen someone so clearly understanding of what was going on (I was sitting in the back, confused, looking for answers as to what was going on) That dialogue alone made the whole trip worth it.
  19. @Jaydubb_os Good work Jay, Did you minimize, digitally as well? For me, that was huge. The results come pouring in abundance months after you initially minimize. Slow, Deliberate, Mindful, Action. The more i repeat this to myself, the better I feel! Hope this helps.
  20. @Joseph Maynor Thanks for the link my friend, off to integrate it!
  21. I have been contemplating about my relationship to Enlightenment work lately, and I believe my mind is wired to do this type of work. I am an INFJ personality type, and have been asking the question "Who am I?" Since i was 14. People thought I was an idiot. Lucky enough, I found out early how deep of question this is, and now am putting forth the work in order to advance in the field. With that being said, I would like to become more ambitious in my pursuits in this work. My culture allows for yoga and all types of weirdness, which I plan on taking full advantage of. Doing yoga and eating sattvic + SDS, Meditation, Labeling, Self Inquiry and 1 solo retreat a month, minimum. Being an INFJ has created lots of opportunity for growth in this area, and I am looking for some advice from others who know about this mysterious personality type what else I could do to triple down. Best, Your friend Sahil

  24. Hello all, I am currently using OneNote to take daily inventory about insights I have in life and in books. Yesterday, I discovered a software called "XMIND" and it allows for awesome mind mapping content. Does anyone recommend any other type of software for PD? (I also use Adobe Acrobat to read PDFs I download from the Web)
  25. @John Iverson Chapter 11 my friend, Chapter 11...
