  1. Just did a 24 hour fast, not sure if i'm going to be up that late, but hope you had a good Maha Shivararti and got some good insights!
  2. @Abder Think back of a child hood trauma that caused you to experience this deep feeling of shame and humiliation. Go back and visualize the whole scenario, and after you visualize the whole situation, enter the situation right now and give love to that wounded, younger version of yourself. Trust me, this works.
  3. It's easy to start paying too much attention to things that don't matter, as well as what others are doing. This is a trap that need to be seen, contemplated, and over come. Or else, the days of your life slip away like sand in an hour glass...
  4. @7thLetter Good topic to consider. I think that the goal of working through your projections is to boil your awareness down to direct experience. Like Leo has said in the past, we rely heavily on concepts and imagination. So much so, that it sweeps us up and we easily can get lost in these mental fabrications. As we raise our consciousness, these projections get purged through and eventually dropped. I'm working through some of these projects, but boy does the mind like to stick to them...
  5. @Beeman Yep, life moves in cycles. Some periods are full of deep meditation, lots of time in silence. Other times are full of being out in the world, failing forward. It's a cycle that we need to integrate more and more of.
  6. @Dean Walker Last week i made a very dark joke in class. That same night, i woke up at 2:38 am horrified as i became conscious of what i actually said, via dreaming. I would 100% take back what i said if i could...
  7. 50mg of Modafinil taken 3 hours ago - Feeling really good. Positive, motivated, and focused. Will slowly up my dose and keep ya'll posted.
  8. Realizing this saddened me. Especially when i realized that no one around me cared about actual personal development, even in terms of improving their psychology... It's gonna be a no from me dawg.
  9. @Pras Nobody is going to care about what you have to offer as a product (For the most part) unless you market the sh*t out of it or you're ability to tell stories is highly emotional and compelling. This is a skill that is often overlooked.
  10. @PetarKa imagine there was a spectrum and on one side, it was complete selfishness, and on the other, it was complete selfless. Which emotions would be associated with each? Which one would you like the trajectory of your life to head toward?
  11. @theking00 suppressing emotions and having fear that you're not willing to face often causes bad dreams. What are you willfully blind to?
  12. @shadowgun1102 (If you have a meditation practice) Turn it into one that focuses on love, and heart centered living. This way, you can start doing good things for them and they can respect you more. It's hard sometimes, but they'll start to pick up on the energy you're putting out, even if it's not directly spending time with them. As long as you're doing good in the world, i think they'll support you.
  13. @improvementedward Look into the work of Shinzen Young. He's got plenty of mindfulness videos that are high quality and will really help you. Especially when it comes to labeling your sensory field (Seeing, touching, feeling, hearing..etc.) His videos have really helped me with mindfulness, although there are infinite levels of depth to it, of which i have only scratched the surface.
  14. "Conscious suffering is the path of growth" - Leo
  15. @The Don Ok, so it sounds like it's a deeper rooted issue. Some type of trauma from a younger age. I'm no expert in this, so i can hope someone can step in and help you, using first hand advice.
  16. @The Don It's a tricky emotion my dude, i struggle with it still at times. Are you mindful when it happens? What are the thoughts associated with you being neurotic? What are you identified as when you are neurotic? I think this would be a good starting place followed by Kriya.
  17. @The Don Rewatch Leo's video about Neuroticism. Also, have you read Maslow's, "Toward a Psychology of Being?"
  18. @The Don Take more time to just Be, unwire your neuroticism as best as you can. Really get to the root of it!
  19. @DocHoliday Thanks!
  20. @Actualizer777 Wake up early, meditate, read, accomplish 4-6 of work that YOU deem meaningful, hit the gym, clean up your diet, drink smoothies, declutter and minimize your life. Start spending more time in nature.
  21. @universe Funny you quoted me, i just finished journaling literally 40 seconds ago! I have been journaling everyday of 2019, haven't missed a day. I journal about how my day is going, what went well, what i can work on, what my goals are etc. The more i journal, the more i realize that you don't need an external accountability partner as much as you need yourself on your side to be there for you. It's easy to say "I'll remember to take this action next time" but when i get home from coaching or school, i usually head straight to One Note and say what i feel or what's on my mind.
