  1. Being in observer-mode does not mean that things will not get done. It is merely the recognition that all action is driven by thought-emotion, not the "I". The "I" is just an add-on - the thought-emotion that is thought to be the doer of the action. It isn't as thought-emotion does it. Watch how thought and emotion drives 'your' body to act. Do you see this - and the I thought thinking it does it?
  2. I could describe experience here like this. IOW, you are not the experiencer but observing the experience. I find this very good as I now know that I am not in the world but just viewing it. I understand this is just a stage.
  3. It does if the new belief does not violate a prior belief. In direct experience there are no things, there is just experience. When you touch a table top with your finger, in direct experience there is no finger nor table there is just 'sensation'. The thought (a sensation) of finger or table arise after the touch sensation. The existence of things (objects) cannot be proved one way or the other as the only 'tool' available is direct experience, and experience never locates nor touches any thing. The entire world that we think exists, exists only in thought/belief.
  4. Isn't the difference between psychological and physical security just a difference in belief, ie a psychological difference?
  5. I would question this. Once you figure out your current investigation. ? Are you consciously aware and have a direct experience of the present? Or is the present experience determined by your memory? Pretty interesting go explore? Funny, I did not write what was quoted.
  6. They are true at a certain level of consciousness. At another level they are seen as part of living in thought/belief.
  7. Ok, so how do you frame that so that it is of use to @UDT ?
  8. @UDT If you step back behind the scenes and go into observer mode (ie not thinker mode) you see that all the show (display/appearance) is driven by emotion and thought - and thought drives emotion. And you can carry on in observer mode watching how thought/emotion drives/does it all.
  9. My mistake I thought he was concerned about the dog
  10. He is NOT concerned about the rat but the dog.
  11. Cannot view your videos here for some reason.
  12. Call pet poison hotline or equivalent for advice in the country you live in. What country are you in? http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/
  13. A Vet will know what to do. They may be able to pump the contents of the stomach out by putting a tube down the throat.
  14. Take it to a Vet
  15. Yes, so doing a job that does not make you happy is good practice is it not? Isn't it only your attitude, your thoughts about the job that make you unhappy? No circumstance makes you unhappy, only your thought about it can do that. Then isn't it a good practice to stay where you are and watch the thought that arises that causes annoyance and hate? Isn't this already a reasonable way? Isn't the way you were proposing an avoidance? As above, no circumstance makes you unhappy, only your thought about it can do that. ---- Not telling anyone to do what they do not want to do.
  16. @Dino D Thank you for this equivalence of perception and direct experience.
  17. Good perception. Yes. It seems that by just allowing (and not cluttering) the 'action of intelligence' to complete it's full observation and appreciation of it's own creation allows it to 'move on'.
  18. Yes, that's basically it. Not complicated as no one is actually doing it. It is just a matter of belief.

  20. @Hardkill each of us imagines s/he is a certain way in this world. If we experience ourself as in some way inadequate, then that is because we imagine we are! Hence we can imagine ourselves some other more capable way! There is no substitute for confidence and courage. If you think, ie imagine, you don't have much of this think/imagine again. Live as you imagine you can - and you can and do.
  21. Not disagreeing @Monkey-man but how can you tell whether Leo has or has not done that in his own way? I mean if someone looks unsurrendered to you is that not your own perception so it shows where you are rather than the other doesn't it?
  22. You start with an assumption (belief) and build from there stacking belief on belief, all consistent, into a giant web of belief.
  23. If the additional belief does not violate the original one of course it is consistent.
  24. All I am looking for is a yes or a no, not some more of your belief.
