  1. It is conceivable that with advancements in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and computing power, members of future civilizations could have decided to run a simulation of their ancestors. Even Bill Nye has some videos on this. Since we are living in a simulation, I suppose we don't have to worry anymore about paying back any loans. But what about a glitch in the matrix ...lol
  2. This is regarding Leo's post : Backfiring mechanisms. Little bit confused there. It feels abstract without examples or analogies. Leo suggests that our life functions in a similar way. I watched but all I did was laugh. To quote Leo, "To help you become more aware of this, watch the following funny videos. But as you do, instead of just laughing away and calling those people dumbasses -- like every other viewer does -- I want you to reflect it back on yourself. Think of this as a metaphor for EXACTLY how your life functions! Bring to mind all the ways in which you experience psychological backfiring." I couldn't wrap my head around it. Maybe it means that human beings function in a way that whatever they do it ends up backfiring on them. So they have to be conscious of their actions just like the people in the videos. But again this is my personal interpretation which could be wrong. I wanted clarification about it what it actually means. What is this backfiring stuff ?..Anyone have idea ?
  3. The repressed emotions need to come out so they stop poisoning you and your life. An example of how repressed stuff still affects you: Imagine that you are allergic to something. So you push the "something" under the bed so you can't see it. Well, will that help any at all? Of course not -- you'll still be allergic, and even if you can't see the "something", your allergies will still be stimulated. The same goes with repressed emotions. Just because you have stuffed them "under the bed", doesn't mean they don't affect you. They do, and the solution to your problems can be identified even though you've hidden or buried or repressed the cause.
  4. @WaveInTheOcean There is information on this guy. He was secretly taped eating. He was also involved in sexually assaulting a lot of women who came forward with their experiences. People around him are scared of this guy and he uses his claims of supernatural powers to subdue them. There are naïve people who easily believe him and so they don't bother to report him to local authorities. I guess his name goes something like Bomjon, not sure coz I forgot his name. He has been controversial for a long time. You know what I mean by 'controversial.' There are many like him who deceive people for money or sex stuff.
  5. You will need to practice emotional detachment.
  6. Yes I just like this guy so much. He is such an inspiration. Wish he was more popular
  7. Hey I have dug into this only to discover later that this was a scam.
  8. I don't think people are very open minded when it comes to such stuff. So yeah its difficult.
  9. This was hilarious. But sometimes strange coincidences happen as an indication of something. Truth is always stranger than fiction. I don't believe in superstitions but weird things make us question our core beliefs of existence. Maybe the spider webs represent the spirals of this world and society in which we get trapped. But If I were in your place, I would be scared to death.
  10. There are loads of those in the market. I have tried but I also got a lot of negative energies from some. So I wouldn't recommend.
  11. I guess its normal. But societal norms should never define or dictate what we truly want.
  12. Awareness and perception are the most essential elements of our existence. Consciousness in my opinion precedes perception.
  13. She has a very soothing voice though.
  14. @Peace and Love You need to reprogram your subconscious mind. We are living in this world for ourselves first. I still struggle with self love. Its not that easy but need to start somewhere somehow. Positive affirmations would be great to begin with. I also write journal entries on the ways I focused on myself everyday. I found writing helps a lot. Sometimes when I feel alone, I hug a teddy. I know it sounds silly but deep down we all crave for love like little kids, Seeking validation only makes it worse. One thing you can always say to yourself is " I am the way I am and I am happy with myself." But more than anything the trick always lies in increasing self focus. We focus too much on other things that don't really matter. Stop judging yourself and stop comparing with others. The love that grows in your heart will heal you. And you are not in this world to live up to the expectations of others but rather yourself. You need to trust your instincts more. Too often people associate self love with narcissism and selfishness. They are mistaken. Self love is self care and not selfishness. Its about discovering peace and love within oneself. Its an inward journey of self healing and understanding oneself. Be kind to yourself. Nourish your spirit with your own love. It has remained hungry for too long. I wish you luck in your journey,
