The reason I don't wish to be called a feminist is one - that Feminists in general are like advocates and I am not advocating anything, just an average girl in the building. The second reason is that a lot of feminists have a negative stereotype these days as they hate men and frankly I don't wish to be associated with them because I don't hate men. I love men.

It's okay. Sometimes People have different opinions and it might appear awkward and foolish. We all had such moments in our lives where we get crazy, have fantasies, philosophize rubbish but through it all, we grow, we outgrow and we learn. All that rubbish is also a part of learning. It doesn't laat forever. When we look back, we laugh at ourselves thinking how crazy it all was, but at the same time we realize that's how We grew and gained maturity. A lot of people here might not have friends to share all of this with. So they pour it here. People correct their craziness by giving them useful insights and through arguments and debates. The only thing is to maintain a friendly spirit and not sabotage the other person's interaction on the forum. If this place does not give freedom to express, then which place will ? Its only extreme deviation that should need correction or warning, a little bit is fine. Blabbermouthing is sometimes just a way of coming closer to deeper insights. You're talking from an enlightened perspective. But You need to understand that folks here are on their journey towards it. It's a slow one and there would be lot of ups and downs and you have to be in their place to experience their perspective and ways of understanding the world. Moderation would be fine. Warnings would be a little too much. I have an alternative suggestion. Create a separate dump subforum where all these worthless non contributing topics can be moved. And those who wish to argue and vent out can do it there. Even political stuff can be moved there. Thus it will not affect the quality of the main forum which will only consist of important and relevant stuff. The same could be applied to other subforums as well. This will solve the flooding issue without compromising the member's freedom to express. @Leo Gura It's a humble request. Please don't shut down this forum. I am putting my life's effort into this. You shouldn't burn down the house just because there's a rat in it. You could have a talk with those few that you have issues with and a public warning system is better. Specify members names who are flouting the rules before closing the topics. After all this forum is labeled self improvement. Look at the top. And self-improvement cannot happen without freedom. A humble request to not shut down the forum. It means a lot to a lot of people.

I'm not a feminist though. All I can say is that women like me feel unjustified when they see hatred coming from men because it's already tough be a woman in this world and be constantly evaluated for being so. And as you said a lot of feminists these days show reactionary misandry, that's true. But I think a lot of misogyny arises out of a deeply patriarchal mentality, blatant disrespect and disregard for women and a lack of understanding of the female nature. I hope the future generations are raised to respect women a little more which ironically is less likely.

A woman could have made a similar post about men and their problems. Men have problems too. But It's largely ignored and brushed under the carpet and a common phrase is used "Men will be men." We live in a hypocritical world where it's okay for a man to make mistakes and have flaws. And If a woman tries out point out those, she is labeled a fucking feminist.

It's always men who point out problems in women. Little strange. Somehow Women never tend to do it. I guess they are very tolerant and put up with the bullshit for too long. Women generally confide in their friends and don't go around demonizing the entire gender. Men never look at themselves. They never try to see where they're going wrong. Everything is somehow always a woman's fault. Man in the mirror Very self-fulfilling narcissistic way of defending oneself. Both men and women make mistakes. I have dated men in my age range and I have come across horrible ones. Nice from outside, bad from inside. Yet I have never whined and bickered or said all men are bad/dysfunctional. If your relationship is not working with a lot of women, it's time to look within yourself. If you genuinely feel they are being wrong and not worthy, try to find the one who is more compatible. Too much analyzing won't help you. Sometimes you have to let go. Grow up.

I can't thank you enough. This is like a family for me now. I feel so good. You guys rock. It feels so good to know I can share whatever I want. Sometimes you're annoying. sometimes sweet. There have been good times and bad times. But through all times, we have been together like one big family. I've learned so much already and I've still got so much to learn.
