  1. If my food didn't taste well, that would be like having sex without any sensation and passion. I'd rather die. Why even bother if the most basic things aren't enjoyable.
  2. For me lunch is the most useless meal of the day. If I would eat a lunch I would be tired after it. So why eat it? I rather just eat at night and sometimes I eat an omelette for breakfast.
  3. Howdy ya'll I think I need a pre bed routine that lets me wind down and help me fall asleep better. I have a morning routine. If I actually go to bed early I will follow it. It takes about 1.5hrs and if I'm tired I rather sleep for one more sleep cycle and sometimes skip the routine. Morning: cold shower (I never skip this) (10min) stretching to train for side and middle splits (20min) foam roller (10min) meditation (25min) make some salad / joghurt (10min) eat (15min) supplements(5min) ~1.5hrs Evening: Start wearing bluelight blocking glasses at 9pm Go to bed between 11:30pm and 1am Started taking L-Tryptophan 30min before going to bed. Not sure if it helps yet. Hope I fall asleep What do you guys do in the evening before going to bed?
  4. In the last month I have also manifested some self destructive behaviour mainly in the form of procrastination. I have recently started doing JBP's self authoring program. You write about your past, present and future. I'm still on the past. But writing has had a immense therapeutic effect for me. Self destructive behaviour could be anything. Someone mistreating you in the past, traumatic events. You not being the best you can be in the present. Not standing up for yourself. Not having a vision for the future. Basically just something that is stuck and doesn't know how to get out or is not let out. You have identified it as for what it is. Now you just need to figure out what it is trying to tell you.

But what I know is that eggs have small amounts of almost every nutrient/vitamin, in addition to choline which is a precursor to acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is the learning transmitter. Also protein. That dietary cholesterol can increase is a myth from 1980. Egg yolks have cholesterol, but also the vitamins.

  9. I got a high quality whey protein from Irish grass fed cows. It took me quite a while to find a protein powder that is plain and has no added sweeteners or flavours. It costs double the price, but I think it's worth it. I have tried rice protein and it taste nasty and has a grainy consistency. I'm not further bothering with plant proteins. They don't have the full amino acid profile so why bother?

  11. I take a large amount of supplements. Not quite as much as Leo in his supplement video but almost. For me Fishoil, Magnesium, Maca, Caffeine+L-Theanine, Ashwaghanda, Bacopa Monnieri (Brahmi) are the most important. Supplements/nootropics are the last step in my opinion though. OFC you need to supplement the missing things, no question. However I would first adress diet (I do Keto), then exercise (swim/run/lift) and then as a reward take whatever you can afford.
  12. Hey, I have played around with only eating one meal at night and increasing fat in my smoothies the previous week. On sunday I started at strict Keto (~30g of carbs) Diet. Reason that I know it's working is on Monday my energy was so low it almost felt like I'm sick. Ketostix also showed a high amount of excess Ketone's that were discarded. I have been reading a lot about the theory and metabolic changes that occur in the body after prolonged periods on Keto. From my understanding the diet has to be done at least 6 months or more for hormonal changes to complete and the cells to be able to efficiently use fat as fuel. Some athletes require a year to fully adapt and set a better time than on their carb diet. From the blogs/articles I have read it's mostly athletes, diabetic, epileptic or overweight people that go on this diet. Not "normal" people just for the fun of it. Tbh I don't need to go on the diet. Im not overweight, diabetic or even remotely interested in any extreme sport performances. The major thing that has drawn me to the Keto diet is the claim of increased energy levels and especially increased focus through that Ketone they called BHB. I also like the idea of completely skipping lunch and only eating breakfast and lunch. I'm still trying to figure out what to eat though. Previously I would make a delicious berry smoothie with a banana and cream for breakfast. Maybe have a sandwich, fruit for lunch or skip it all together. For supper have some Indian curry accompanied with some Indian flatbread (naan/chapati/dosa). I would never cook rice or noodles, maybe a pizza from time to time. So to change to Keto I have found I can make keto version's of most of the indian flatbreads. I can continue making most of my curries and just change the bread. I have to cut the banana in the smoothie which is unfortunate as it has lots of potassium and is essential for a good taste. I also have to cut fruits which I used to love. I can leave berries in small quantities which I'm very grateful for. I have to seriously increase my protein intake which was very low (maybe 30g). Atm I'm making some Keto style smoothie with eggs, oil, protein powder for breakfast. Skipping lunch. So far I have tried an Omellete, punjabi mushroom curry with keto chapati and cauliflower pizza for supper. I'm at quite a calorific deficit as both meals only have about 600-700 kcal. Previously I have managed to get 140g of fat into a smoothie, but that was with fruit and a banana. To me it seems as if the Keto diet somehow favors eating of meat. All this mozzarella and fat somewhat smells and feels "meaty". I have also experienced cravings for meat when I was hungry. Quite funny as I'm vegetarian. It's seems like a huge effort as I will have to make every meal myself. I will have to explain myself and listen to the nutrition dogma from the 1980's which I'm not really looking forward to haha. But I'm trying to understand how the matabolism works and Im enjoying learning something about my body. Is it worth it or should I just try and see for myself?
  13. It makes it easier, especially as a man. First of all you are much more likely to filter out the women that are a waste of your time faster. You might be less attached or in need of companionship. From this standpoint you are a more powerful man and less likely to be pulled down by a woman that you shouldn't be with. But Enlightenment doesn't have to do anything with relationships per se. You still need to form a functioning way to treat women to get what you want out of them. Read books about it and get your information from the people that have made the experience.

Also some Rock would be welcome. I only know Hip Hop and Electronic music. Need to expand my palette a bit. Widen my musical consciousness.
  16. I'm not sure if you ever had the luxury to think about this topic. But do you find yourself using the same toilet or do you alternate? I find myself always using the left one. It's safe. I'm not sure if my ego is clinging to the belief that the one toilet is better than the other one. Should I alternate toilets more? Bring in some variety or am I normal?
  17. @Raphael I would say that for some people going to the toilet is the most meaningful thing they do in the day. They just don't know it yet. Quite the opposite of doing nothing.
  18. @Principium Nexus I agree. Since first starting this very important topic I have subsequently used the right toilet more often. There is still a clear preference for the left toilet though. I think I am making progress though. Gotta stay positive. I think it has to do with less light in the cabinet. Probably makes me feel more secure while browsing Reddit for kitten photos.
  19. Being selfless has nothing to do with enlightenment. You can be a complete asshole and not give a care about anyone and still be enlightened. You won't get your street cred enlightenment points from fellow humans. But at this stage you couldn't care less and can't stop but laughing at people trying to pinpoint enlightenment to certain behaviours. Altruism is mostly a game of the ego. I like this definition of altruism from zoology. "behaviour of an animal that benefits another at its own expense." In the human world true altruism is scarce. Whenever you do something to get something out of it it might be a good idea to step back and reavaluate.

  21. I think I'm not the only one that has been struggling with sleep ever since the Internet and all these glowing screens have been keeping me glued to them and awake. I have a binaural beat track that will reliably put me to sleep for my afternoon snooze. I have tried listening to the full 8 hour thing during my night sleep but have found it decreased the sleep quality and my in ears hurt my ears. Melatonine pills work kinda. Recently I have started using a pill concoction of Baicalin, Withanolide, Piperin, Melatonine, Rosavin and Linalyzetat. I felt the effect very strongly on the first few uses. Now the effect can hardly be felt, but they still help somewhat. Airing the room and getting it below 20°C helps. Sex before sleeping helps, I prefer not having some one else in my bed though. Masturbation helps, but seems like a waste to just do it to be fatigued and fall asleep. Turning of screens and lights 1 hour before sleep would probably help. But what can I do without a screen? Yeah nothing. The only thing would be reading. Has anyone tried using essential oils dispersed using a vaporizer to improve sleep? I have read that Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Chamomile and a bunch of others seem to help. It's a bigger investment as I will probably have to try a few oils out to find the good ones for me. To me it seems like every thing I do improves my sleep a little bit, but it's not yet what it could be.
  22. Thats about right. Nowadays 20mg also gets me there. Last time I snorted 20mg. Ewww disgusting. Much larger urge to throw up. Harsher than plugging. A friend of mine also "claimed" to not get any effect from 5-meo-dmt. We did 20mg together and I was blasted away. The second trip he did 40mg plugged. No effect again. Tbh I believe his ego resists the energy and just "blocks" the experience. I haven't told him that. But from my experience the Ego goes far far far deeper than anyone can imagine. Maybe you also have to be ready for it and don't get an effect if it is "not the right thing" to do. I felt a strong pull to 5-meo-dmt and that it was the "right thing for me" to do and it has helped me a lot. But everyone is at a different state.
