Hi, I wonder if anybody here managed to complete the exercises in the book Course in Miracles. It is on Leo's list with 5 stars of 5. My question is , is it worthy? How you feel aboutt the book? Is it genuinly inspired by God? Does it make you do some progress? I am asking because I am having some doubts, maybe ego backlash, so the community's opinion might help me trust more this book. On the other hand, I am asking because it is written there that the answer will come from Holly Spirit.

If some individual claims that he has been subject to a total enlightenment, like Buddha claimed, then how come that he remembers ? If total enlightenmnet assume ego death, then who has been the subject of that experience ? How come that the same person can say anything when he was not even in existence during the experience ? Why he remembers something from a time in which he was not existing at all ?

This video explains better, you can just have glimpses, not total enligtenment. That brings up the question if otman is brahman, or we are God . Are we ? We cannnot know that because in the moment we know we are not existing anymore. So if we are not exisiting then there is not a WE who is presumend to be God. In the sentence "I am God" the words "I" and "God" are mutualy exclusive. They can't be put in the same sentence. "I am made of God" or "I am a son of God" or "God made me" are more accurate. If I were God and tried to tell people this , I would literally say just "I am". This if fucking creepy since I dont buy Christianity.

This is not materialism as it is understood hereabout. Materialism goes much more deep than this. What you experience is a very common weakness that every human being has. I have it, and it has manifested as me willing to posses from phones to cars, motorcycles , clothes and even big house. Useless to say that I am not happier than before anything of those. By contrary, I want more or bigger everything. In my opinion there is just one solution to it. KNOW about it. Be aware that what is happening is just your delusion. You know it, but you will still can't stop going for it. Simply put, go and experience this weakness of yourself, buy things, but know that they are only delusions, accept them and, why not, have fun with them. God wants you to experience whatever you can. He needs that experience. Why would He spent a lot of effort in creating this world of abundant opportunities if "we" wouldn't benefit from them ? Because "we" are "He".

Sorry, I don't understand what you said. Must be my limited experience in English. Make what better ?

Meaning that before even the boots were made, there had been existing the idea of walking. What idea existed before world came into existence ? None, because that idea would have been a world. But there was never "before" anyway. That's why intelligence is a no no. It implies the existence of a prior thought of God at least. A thought is a world, or a dream if you want. It is a catch 22. Have you ever come across the Zen ideas that this world has no purpose, or intention ? It just is.

@now is forever See ? We tend to attribute God (or infinity, or consciousness <-- @Joseph Maynor) with human understandable concepts. If some of concepts like love, care, goodness might have some sense, intelligence is out of order. In my opinion the single most appropriate human term attributable to God is "will".

Still you used human terms to describe God. Why? You sound like a Christian reciting the creed. No ofense.

hey guys, I am very intrigued about people talking about intelligence of God without trying to even mimic that they know what they are talking about. I must admit that I don't know, don't even have a clue about how the concept of intelligence can be applied to God. Please give me a hint. So far , the great value of Leo's videos was that he managed to explain the unexplainable in simple words. At least he gave us a hint. This time, neither him or anybody writing here haven't come with an attempt of a definition, but everybody speaks as it is very clear for them. I am very curious, please consider that I am very stupid, or not conscious, and use simple words to explain me what is God;s intelligence. I strongly believe that this is an useful exercise because it is able to shift a paradigm that you might have. Please start from the common definition of intelligence, or if you have another meaning, state it clearly.

Try to flip over your paradigm. It is not the universe that is working in consistent way with mathematics, it is vice-versa. We invent mathematics to figure out how the universe works. But we cant find through mathematics the cause that makes the universe work, we can only understand how some parts of the universe interact with each other, by "how" meaning "the mechanics" not the cause.

Fibonacci sequence is just 1+1=2. I mean it has the same roots (Fibonacci builds on 1+1=2). In fact everything that we could ever create under the hood of mathematics has the same nature as 1+1=2. Logical sentences. Thoughts, or just another material occurrence inside the fabric of matter, using matter as ground, hence it is groundless. If matter does not exist, maths does not exist of course. The fact that some objects in the nature have a Fibonacci like structure or geometry, it shouldn't be a surprise, nor magic, it is the logic this matter is built on. Including maths and Fib. I mean it couldnt be otherwise at all in this Universe.

First of all I want to say that this Leo's last video about intelligence goes a little against Leo's teachings so far. I am a big fan of Leo's way of thinking, though I don't always agree 100% with few and small pieces of truth or the way he interprets them. But in this case, when it comes to intelligence, I strongly believe that Leo did an important step backwards. This video has many points in it that can be debated individually, but as an overall picture, the reason why I consider it wrong is the following: ---- If all that it is, is a consciousness that creates the reality as we see it, this consciousness can't be attributed with any quality or property ---- Not even the attribute of infinity, which is the same with nothingness as we already know. But, to express somehow that the source of reality is omnipotent, we define it as infinite (which is not a human understandable concept). And that's all. Now, saying that this consciousness is intelligent is as nonsensical as saying that it is good, or white, or polite etc. Intelligent as opposed to what ? Because being infinite, the consciousness is also bad, black, unpolite and non-intelligent accordingly. Then, if you think that the creator did a lot of intelligent work in arranging molecules and atoms in cells from Leo's hand hair, it is again a nonsense. And here is why : the creator didn't have a previous a set of rules to figure out how they work and to think how to arrange things in the best way to form a cell. No, the creator IS the rules. He only created the cell without any need to "think" because whatever he did it was perfect. How could be otherwise ? Compared to what else ? I know that this seems counter-intuitive, as the cells look so perfect and they build a bigger being which is again perfect and all these fit in a perfect tuned universe which works like a clockwork perfectly. That seems to be a scenario of some very intelligent creator. Well, no. It is an illusion of our species who tries to live a better life figuring out things and arranging them in an "intelligent" way. we need to do this because we work with creator's creation, not ours. One of the answer of the above dilemma is the following: the reality is infinite, so this universe is just a tinny part of the reality. Countless of non livable universes might exist, and who knows, maybe they are perfect for other form of life. Another solution is to take the reality as it is. I mean, in this reality, we are the beings that could have been ever evolved. Period. It is not like viceversa: to create our species, the reality needs to function like this and that, yati yati,,.. Nope. We live the illusion that the creator is intelligent because we look at our universe and wonder how perfect it is. Compared to what ? If we were a form of life made from silicon , or rubber, or steel, we also have said that we lived in a perfect world, because we never can imagine an imperfect world. Or if we can, it already exists. Intelligence as an absolute concept does not exist. Not even applied to earthly things or beings, because there is no any absolute measure for it.

Intelligence is a thought.

So far I though that it is enough to get enlightened to understand him. is that equivalent to embodying infinite intelligence ? If I become one with God, don't I embody infinite dumbness in the same time ?

I am not sure he was talking about quantum computer. He said quantum computing. I implied it was about a computer. Dunno if somehow he referred to something that subatomic world can do with or without a computer. I might lead you wrongly then.

So the absolute is not non-intelligent ? How could it be absolute than? It misses being dumb.

Of course it has, that's why I asked. Why exactly intelligence was remarked among everything else ?
