  1. Just relax, realize she's probably just as nervous as you, even if she's been on dates before. Try to treat her like just one of the guys or a family member that you've known for a long time while you're just talking, that's the kind of familiarity you want to go for. Men are naturally less talkative, if she's into you she'll probably naturally carry the conversation and ask you questions to get you to open up. She will fear the awkward silence just as much as you and try to fill it if she can. You must have a few stories or interesting things you've done in your life, even if they were in high school. Try to think up at least a few interesting things about yourself. You don't have to tell her it was stuff that happened 5 years ago. Tell her stuff you're interested in, even if it's meditation and Actualized.org type stuff. There's no point worrying about her judging you over what you like... if she thinks spiritual stuff is stupid then you probably aren't a good fit anyway. That's what the point of the date is to figure out. Women like guys that are passionate about something, even if it's something "boring" like making ships in bottles, reading, having an aquarium, etc. It's better to have something unique about your personality than just be another guy who plays video games and watches Netflix
  2. IMO the gap between a 7 and 8 is large. 7 shouldn't be too hard, 8 will be difficult. A 7 is above-average to me, 8s start to get into truly gorgeous women and then their rarity increases exponentially. A 7 is like 1 in 20 women, an 8 is like 1 in 100, a 9 is like 1 in 1,000. I think it's much easier for a guy to bump himself up from a 6 to an 8 with fitness, hygiene, and fashion. For women the focus is a lot more on their face, and there's only so much you can do with makeup before you need plastic surgery. If you're concerned you aren't good enough, then make yourself better.
  3. You don't need certifications as long as you can deliver results to people. Consider becoming an online instructor rather than just in-person. You can reach infinitely more people doing online classes or courses. Also your business will be less affected by covid shutdowns/restrictions which will probably continue for at least the next year.
  4. What are these empty promises and swindling? Millions of people are getting their Tesla cars, solar panels and battery systems, cheap reliable satellite internet, and other goods. You make it sound like he's running a pyramid scheme or something. If that were the case he would've been investigated for fraud long ago.
  5. Call me crazy, but in my worldview it feels like the opposite of what the NYT article is saying. For me it's the "Black people, immigrants, Muslims, Jews, L.G.B.T.Q. people and, yes, women, particularly liberal ones" that are in charge, and the tech companies helping to push their agenda. If you question whether there are more than 2 genders, or anything about LGBT or trans people, stuff that would've just been accepted by the majority of people 20 years ago, you get deplatformed from all social media, people try to get you doxxed and fired from your jobs. These groups oppress white people, especially their kids, basically telling them that they're evil and their ancestors are all evil colonialists. Even not getting involved isn't good enough any more. Your radical friends will tell you "silence is violence" if you don't get involved and change your social media to a BLM profile pic. Every major company changes their profile pictures on Twitter/Instagram/etc to rainbow stuff during pride month. All the schools, hospitals, etc in my city fly a Pride flag year-round. US embassies around the world have Pride flags. Companies are now encouraged to do more diversity hiring, basically anti-white practices where less qualified people can get hired simply because they're a minority. I am part of the "racist white patriarchy" and I definitely don't feel in charge, or capable of subjugating anyone. Maybe in America things are drastically different. Here in Canada even our conservative party is about as left-leaning now as Democrats in the US, with most of the others more like leftists/socialists. I voted for the only "real" right party in our last Federal election, basically a fringe group that popped up within the past 2 election cycles, and they only got 5% of the vote and 0 seats in Parliament. The racist right-wing people aren't coming for you any time soon, we're literally powerless atm.
  6. In one video, Leo talks about asking for a raise while working at a video game company. The manager basically laughed in his face and said not only does he not deserve a raise, he probably wasn't worth what they were already paying him. That's largely how I feel about new hires straight out of university or after 1 internship. University doesn't make you a subject matter expert, it's basically just proof to companies that you can complete homework on time and retain basic knowledge. It's ground zero to start from. Most graduates require weeks of hands-on training that takes existing employees away from their normal tasks. They are a liability to the company. So my advice would be to take the intern position and keep looking for better-paying positions. Having another internship on your resume could only help, and you'll get a bit of money in the process BUT I have no doubt this company is screwing you over. I'd bet they are hiring you as an intern but realistically you're going to do the exact same work that a junior position would be doing in a couple months. Usually that's just how the corrupt system works though and you can either take it or leave it. With talk about most companies being short-staffed right now, I'd be tempted to call their bluff and say no, you'll only take the better-paying junior position, not an internship. Especially if it's not life-or-death and you can walk away to look for another job for now. It's risky but for 2x the pay it might be worth it. But if you want to take it 100% safe then take the internship. At the very least, ask them to explicitly list out the different roles and requirements expected of an intern vs a junior position. If they can justify paying half as much, then fine. But most likely they are gonna be the same. If they offer way less work and responsibility for an intern then take it, but have it in your contract in writing for when they start trying to pile other tasks on you, to either push back or demand more money. And don't allow a catch-all "and other duties as required" that lets them add whatever they want.
  7. You need to give it more than 1 day of being fully healed to get back into the routine If I stop doing work for a month or more, I lose all stamina, willpower, etc and need to slowly build it back up too
  8. He's done a hell of a lot more for the world than Greta Thunberg, I can tell you that much
  9. Anybody with 10,000+ forum posts is almost certainly misusing the forum. At 2 minutes per post that's over 300 hours wasted. There's are some users on here where if you look at their profile, they've consistently made say 15-20 new posts within the past 6 hours. They're on the forum all day, every day, they have multiple journals going on the forum that they update multiple times a day, etc. For me personally I misuse the forum to satisfy my ego and sometimes like to get a little troll-y with it
  10. Don't look at writing as a whole, you need to go more specialized than that and focus on one area. Fiction books Non-fiction books Copywriting (sales pages, etc) Blogs and articles Even effectively communicating online in a casual format... like forum or Reddit posts all have very different sets of rules and what makes "good" or "bad" writing for each. I write blog posts for a living and my clients are very happy with my work. But if I used the same structure and syntax to write an essay in college I'd probably get an F. If you feel like you're lacking in general English skills (less than a high school level) then maybe find an adult English class at a high school level locally, or maybe there are online courses for this.
  11. Majority is primarily genetics, passed down through men on your mother's side Don't waste too much time obsessing about why or trying to fix it though. You can waste thousands of dollars and hours in futility trying to hold on to your hair. Eventually it's all going to go. Just accept it Like Leo said, just shave your head, and move on from it. Look at the channel BaldCafe on Youtube for inspiration... tons of videos of guys who finally bit the bullet and shaved it all off, and they consistently look sooo much better after - https://www.youtube.com/c/Baldcafe/videos
  12. How much more upset would you be if he had to plug Raid Shadow Legends or Nord VPN in every video
  13. it's possible to do politics and not just have it be mental masturbation. but if you're just spending hundreds of hours per year debating really abstract concepts online like capitalism vs communism or not taking any real action then that's what it is You can get involved in politics and make real meaningful change, especially at a local level. In most cities you can win a seat on city council with a couple hundred votes and have a dramatic impact on what happens in your city. Or even being parent on a school PTA I'd consider meaningful politics
  14. i am jealous you've still got the most valuable thing of all
  15. Why can't people work hard and have nice things, and also be spiritual? Why are you creating this artificial barrier? Why does he have some obligation to suddenly donate all his savings to charity and live like a hobo just because he became enlightened? Maybe he can contribute more good to the world when his life is stable and he doesn't have to worry about paying bills and living in scarcity lower on Maslow's pyramid, did you think of that? Poor people with 2 jobs can't meditate for 3 hours a day or take a week off to do a meditation retreat or psychedelics. Maybe he wants to buy a $5,000 camera for his work without worrying about it, or living in a bad neighborhood where you can hear gunshots in the background of his videos. What is the max limit on salary or savings you find "acceptable" for a spiritual person to have? And how did you come to this realization? Is it conveniently about the same amount you have? stay mad and jelly, have fun being poor and not spiritually developed
  16. Depression is real and there are people who have it induced by brain chemistry through no fault of their own. And it can be debilitating to the point that you can't do anything when it hits. BUT I would say the vast majority of people who claim to be "depressed" this doesn't apply to. Either they over-exaggerate their depression, use it as an excuse to avoid working on themselves, or haven't tried anything like exercise or changing their diet to fix it. With the TikTok generation it's trendy and cool to say you're depressed and anxious. Mental illness and being part of any kind of minority group is glorified. If you don't have some medical diagnosis and you aren't a member of the LGBT community you aren't cool. Most depressed kids these days it's just because they have too much time, too much opportunity and potential. Paradoxically, the better your life is, it seems like the more depressed you are. That's why so many rich people are depressed and drug addicts. Literally if you made these kids go and work in a factory for 12 hours a day they'd be less depressed than sitting around on their phones all day. Because when you constantly have something to do and you go home tired at the end of the day, there's no time to sit around and be depressed. I've been hit with this depression of decadence multiple times in my life, especially when there isn't much going on, if you're between jobs or school or projects, or you're just coasting in life without much effort and not actively trying to improve yourself. Yeah it's real and you feel depressed. But with a little willpower you can start actually doing stuff and pull yourself out of it pretty quickly. If you wallow it just keeps going. It's like if you wake up and focus on how groggy and sleepy you feel, it'll last like that for hours. If you just put your shoes on and go for a walk even though you're groggy, you'll be fully awake in 5 minutes. If you give depression your attention you breed more of it. If you allow yourself to believe you're depressed then you'll be depressed. The other 5 - 10% require medication
  17. You didn't mention in your original post that you were actively suffering from depression. If not, then what is physically or mentally stopping you from getting out of bed? It's literally just willpower. It IS just a choice. Laziness. You just don't want to hear the obvious solution. Do you just want people to say it's okay to lay in bed for an extra hour every day to justify your laziness? Are you expecting we'll prescribe some magic herb or exercise or something? Just get up. You said you tried the putting your alarm clock across the room thing. What happens with that, do you still not just get up? Or do you get up and then immediately get back in bed? If the latter.... just get up and stop getting back into bed. Look, my wife is one of these people that has to go through 6 - 10 alarms to get up and it drives me nuts. But guess what? If she actually has something important to get up for, she just gets up. Funny how that works.
  18. My dentist has referred to my fillings as "amalgam" and I think it was listed like that on my invoice. But they are the porcelain/white fillings that match teeth color, not the silver looking ones. Can these still contain mercury, or if I don't have the metallic-looking fillings in my mouth am I okay?
  19. Jesus, that first woman was practically autistic, zero social skills. At no point does she say no or ask him to leave, or indicate that she's uncomfortable (besides I guess inferring it from her awkward/aloof personality). Even when she said "I'm doing a live" she just inferred she wanted him to leave, never actually asked him to. He specifically asks "may I?" and she's just like "uhh ... I... don't know" LOL. I guess women like this would later justify that they didn't want to rock the boat for fear of retribution, so they just went along with it? The bike guy I can understand why it'd seem inherently more threatening, he's got a bike so he has the speed advantage and you couldn't really get away if he decided to pursue you, similar to someone pulling up alongside you in a car. Especially if you approach at a crosswalk while the light is red (no escape, feels trapped.) The GoPro surely doesn't help, but I think he'd get a dramatically different reaction even if he was just approaching on foot. Especially passing women instead of consistently coming up behind them lol. The reaction of the woman at 2:35 in the second video was that of a mentally healthy individual that hasn't been turned totally antisocial. He maybe could've made something of that approach but he let it fizzle out.
  20. I've watched him a lot in the past, I think a lot of his Kriya Yoga material is really good. ManojTheYogi is up there as well - https://www.youtube.com/c/ManojTheYogi Both basically have whole video courses based around the Kriya yoga book on Leo's booklist
  21. I just watched the latest video on detoxing heavy metals. Just wondering which should be a priority if you had to choose from serious weight loss (50+ lbs) vs detoxing heavy metals first. My reasoning is... I've heard that a lot of the toxins in the body are stored in the fat. So if you start rapidly losing weight, won't you be releasing all of these toxins back into your bloodstream? Who knows if they'll be excreted or just moved around within your body, so I wonder if it's better to slowly remove toxins first. Plus losing weight might be easier after a few detox cycles if it gives you more energy, willpower and mental clarity, etc?
  22. Unfortunately you'll be seen by the medical establishment as just a statistic, a necessary evil that they think had to be done for the greater good. Trying to conceptualize how many elderly lives are worth saving to inflict this condition on 1 person is past my ethical and philosophical abilities, but the fact that scientists and experts seem to not consider it at all is deeply troubling. Especially when refusal of the shot is effectively impossible in many countries now if you want to be able to keep your job or not be fined by your government. I'm sorry this happened to you. Heart tissue never heals, they have basically turned you from a healthy young person into someone with the heart of a 60 year old for the rest of your life. They fucked you over. Here in Canada we allegedly have a "national vaccine injury compensation program" that you can claim against if something like this happens, I'd check if your country has something similar. I don't know how much it is or how long you get it, but IMO anybody permanently disabled as a result of vaccines basically deserves a full-time wage paid by the government for the rest of their life.
  23. Speak to a professional game dev and explain the basic concept for your game, they'll be able to let you know pretty quickly if it's possible or not. There are big game dev Youtube channels that usually have their own Discord servers where lots of game devs would be glad to weigh in. I wouldn't be too worried about someone stealing your idea, the chances someone is actually going to execute on it is incredibly small. Especially if the alternative is you never pursue it and a great idea just dies. If your idea involves combining non-dualism teachings and spirituality with video games then you're already not the first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYHp8LwBUzo It depends if it's just an idea of something that you think would be cool, or if it's a true life purpose. Even if it's your life purpose and passion it's going to be hard. You're going to have to spend hundreds of hours watching boring tutorials to learn basic skills, looking up how to implement various things into your games, and that's the relatively easy stuff before you start trying to add things to your game that nobody has ever thought of or tried to code before.
  24. The human mind is a limiting factor on creative potential. There are some things in the universe that are so far-out that no human in the history of civilization will ever think them. BUT the limit is so large that it's practically unlimited. There are only about 170k words in the English language, the average vocabulary a person actually knows/uses is only 20k - 40k words. But the amount of books or songs you could write is so large that for all intents and purposes it's basically infinite. Even after thousands of years, there are still over a million books being published in the US alone EACH YEAR. The number isn't slowing down, it's actually accelerating. In 2021 it's very unlikely that technology is going to be a limiting factor for you. Make sure not to make up excuses that prevent you from even starting. For example, even if you can't make photorealistic graphics, you can still make a close enough approximation to convey your vision.
  25. It has nothing to do with time. It's % people exposed to the virus, % vaccinated, or a combination of the two Theoretically if you could get all citizens of a country into one multi-million people gathering intermingling for a few hours, you could achieve herd immunity through a single event, Although then you'd get all the people who need to be hospitalized all at once and totally overwhelm the hospital system as well.
