@Dodo You are creating the whole thing, now. There is no person/thing/event, that is other-than You. It is productive to look though. It's not that this is unrealistic, it's just that it is very hard to accept, until we're honestly done looking for the other thing.

@Sukhpaal our experience of love is connection with Self. Love is not literally coming or going through the air from or to anyone. It's only happening within.

@electroBeam Yo! Great post. You busted my chops wide open and that lead to a whirlwind of inconsistent reality, still expanding. It get's more beautiful everyday! Thanks! Conflation is a real doozy! -

@5driedgrams When I wake up I laugh out loud at how funny the whole illusion is. I think you and I end up in the same desired state of appreciation. Cool post brutha! Thanks! -

Nahm replied to How to be wise's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@How to be wise it's like watching a movie that's scary or has trauma in it, it's an engaging experience, but u know it's just a movie. life becomes like that, and it's awesome, and very funny. -
@Ilya gottcha. sound like you have a lot going for you. if now is not the time to take a life pupose course, just let it go. i don't think we can 'find' it. that's why there are proccesses / coarses. it's a little like asking for pointers to the benefits of meditation without having the time to meditate. i think you could do all of it, but that's just my opinion of course. good luck either way!

@DaveB you could be changing lives in a positive encouraging manor in your human resource position and doing your art program in your other-than-9-5 time. The helpful, compassionate experiences with people could be a very robust source of artistic inspiration and motivation in general to pursue your dreams. If you have decided there is no joy for you in your 9-5, you have made that a reason to not have joy in your life. Every moment can be an adventure. Every day can be rewarding. Your biggest obstacle is likely the food you are eating, your weight, and or alchohol or drugs. This is admittedly very presumptuous advice, forgive me if I am way off.

@Ilya we are all the creators of how we look at things. I suggest you get a piece of paper out and fill one side with anything you want in your life, and the other side with questions you want the answers to. My aim is that this will bring to the surface the deeper desires, which are the 'why's' of living, direction, etc.

@Ilya it is for you, not them. If you can't sit still, quietly, you are likely there prematurely anyways. -
For what it's worth...I was a massive preacher on the pro free will side, then had an experience which I then saw easily that there is no free will - no me - at all. Now reality 'does' things when I'm alone (lol) that are completely contradictory to the physical laws. My brain has no chance explaining these miracles, I just laugh and laugh and laugh in joy. But I do offer this as a testimonial to the contrary that all reality is "like" one big clock. IMO, it hilariously is not. My brain says it is though. My eyes and ears have experienced otherwise. My brain is really funny in that way.

Nahm replied to Marinus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Marinus I don't think 20 is too young, but be sure to start SMALL. Like 1g shrooms. 20 is probably better than 40. Less belief and conceptualizaion. Totally depends on the individual though. I started the path when I was 20, but didn't commit to the daily rituals until I was much older. In hindsight, 20 would have been much better. Broadly speaking, imo, the sooner one is rid of fear, doubt & worry - the better. Hope that helps. -

@Ramu Thanks. And, ya, it's no thing territory. The very idea of it doesn't fit in the brain. It's the other way around.

Nahm replied to Wouter's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Wouter there are apps for this. There's one that even comes with the iPhone. I haven't tried them myself. I can see where they might be useful, maybe help someone get a routine going and change some habits. Good luck. Let us know. -

@Gabriel Antonio I am aware. I don't understanding why you are telling me this. -
@Psyche_92 Humility is helpful. You should bag groceries, or pump gas, or take any job anyone is willing to give you. There are no low consciousness jobs, only jobs performed with low consciousness. There is so much to be learned from being humble enough to support yourself. Your mom is supporting you and you are dissing her pretty hard. It's hard to be living with people and still maintain your focus on your self, but that's what you need to do for now. It will make you stronger than someone who lives alone and try's to grow. Your mom, her boyfriend, your sister - all those unconscious people - they are your masters. It is from them that you stand to learn the most about you. Sounds like you are doing great but maybe not realizing it yet. You have your whole life ahead of you. It's going to be pretty much how you think it will be. If I was you, I'd start waking up and being fucking awesome. Why wait?
