It might help to go back and assess where the idea of God started for you. Maybe someone told you about God, and you can realize it's a thought / belief that there is something seperate from you.

@Emre All is love. You have no idea what I've experienced. None. If you see someone without pain, you assume they have not had painful experiences like you. Allow the possibility that they have, and have transcended it. When you're in the movie (relativity) , it's real and sometimes it's unfair and hurtful. When you step outside the movie (absolute) , you gain the experience / perspective that it is a movie (only relative). Have you ever watched a scary movie? You get a little scared. You go outside that night, and you have the 'it's scary' filter on. The next day, the "it was just a scary movie" is on. Lives are no different. The difficulty is in accepting that the truth is so mind blowingly amazingly awesome, because the illusion, the movie you're in, is so unbelievably convincing. It is just a movie and I am not actually the actor. All is well.

@Achilles My only psych experience is shrooms. (Make tea don't eat them) If someone asked me your question out of the blue, I'd suggest they meditate and eat well and be able to hold their focus on all is well by default, and then they are ready. I feel that insulates a foundation for a 'good trip', which to me, means the love will fill them and all of their knowledge will clarify and become insights, epiphanies, and revelations allowing a physical experience of the not physical that they really are. Research starting small and building the does over monthly increments. Have the right atmosphere, for me that's outdoors / nature. Have the right trip sitter or somewhat experienced trip partner, or at least a partner who is not battling any self issues. That person should also have their foundation in place. Prep the trip too. Have happy silly songs ready. Etc. Eat raw that day, and don't eat for a couple hours beforehand. Prime yourself for a few days before the trip with some Leo infinity vid's, some Abraham, some Matt Kahn, some Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, etc. I could be wrong, but I don't think your family had problems with using psychedelics responsibly to accelerate allowance / connection of love - to experience reality directly. It's likely they were using drugs in the complete opposite direction, to reinforce superiority of self / fill a love hole with physical highs. If I'm accurate here, it would probably serve you well to contemplate the distinction for a bit. Good luck man. Try to enjoy the uncertainty. It's an adventure. -
@Emre you are absolute love. All physical is relative to all physical, and relative to the absolute because there is no physical. It's all love. Without you, there is no relativity.

@Amit I meant if you say it's impossible, then it's impossible. It took me 20 years and psych's. Good luck man. Don't stop.

@Akshay I mean this in the nice way, but, it's ok, nobody cares. I wasn't asking what you said and did. I asked who was in your dream and what are you. I will go fuck off now. Peace bro. -

Enlightenment is nothing. It comes from nowhere. There is no such thing as nothing and nowhere. It's hard to admit, but you have no experience being born, or dying, or being anything other than One. Anything to the contrary is just a thought. People who don't know refer to the Big Bang, the universe, matter, etc. One day, those will be revealed to you as punchlines, and it's very, very funny. -
I understand where you're coming from and why you ask that, but my story is not relative really. Just committ to your story. Meditate every day when you wake up. Then again in the afternoon. When you notice thoughts, just return your focus to your breathing. Practice breathe awareness 24/7. Eat healthy. Get in shape. Transcend thinking, to awareness. You are a student of letting go now. It's a life long art. You're an artist now.

@zenjen the first thing you do is get the guns out of your house. Get them back later when you're stable. Then start focusing on what you want. Don't focus on fear or you'll experience more of it. Congrats on the breakthrough!!! Write on a piece of paper right now. Write down how you feel. Describe it as much as you can. Write down how you feel about the future, etc. Look at that piece of paper every morning. It will help you keep that state of mind going. Good luck man!!! Please talk to the forum, or message me, or anyone, in the future, instead of the gun thing. Also, call them, they are highly trained. It's highly likely they lost someone and that is what led them to that job. They are there because they want to help you. -
You had me at kind soul... You should learn how to change your own state of mind. Take ownership. State don't arise. You created them. Your choices led to that state of mind. Also, careful not to internalize. If something undesirable happens, don't make internal statements about yourself. Skip that shit and tell yourself "I clearly don't want this, so it makes me realize I want_______" If you can make it like 2 minutes focusing on what you do want (take lots of practice) then what you found to be undesirable becomes a gift of enhancing your clarity in regards to what you do want. You are the only variable when it comes to your present state of mind. There is no assertion. That is good to know. It seems like all this shit going on effects one's state of mind, but it gets interpreted first and that's what we're experiencing. (Highly arguable) Notice the tiniest little glimpse of the change from flying high to the downfall and nip it in the bud right away. Stop everything and contemplate. Be hyper aware of that relativity. Don't accept losing even .000001% of the flying high state without knowing why and what you did. Do A / B tests with everything. Like if you're feeling low, maybe it was sugar last night. Maybe it was thinking about something bummerish. Cut the sugar (A) for a week. Be aware of the difference. Until the permanent change happens, appreciate the the process. "Life", sleep, excercise, meditate, ready for anything; repeat daily. Not sure if you are at this point yet, but- does is help to tell you that this is all You doing you? Like, you most definitly are doing this life. It's not random. I take comfort in the amazement of that. Maybe it inspires you to know that there is a permanent lasting change and it is all so very worth it. Here's some stuff off the top of my head that I do, I hope something is useful... Thoughts trigger the "downfall state". Everything is relative. Try to isolate it to replace it. Use all relativity to your advantage. There is no actual suffering. That's probably not helpful right now, but worth contemplating. Rupert has a video or two explaining this. If you're thinking, in your mind and presence, you're in the past or the future. Eckart Tolle is big on The Now. YouTube. Is all of your space and surroundings aligned with where you are headed? Posters, paint colors, chalkboard paint walls, dry erase boards -to map out what you're doing / what you want. This is effective on many levels. Do you only talk about what you want? Life is like a buffet. Someone else might like the chicken. I don't really notice it. Have you spend multiple days without saying one word? Go to your profile here and look at your posts starting with the oldest. May help you realize how far you've come. Read books. Learn stuff. Don't watch tv, etc- The relative effect on us is not typically desirable and subtly elusive. Excercise every morning listening to positive stuff, or motivation speeches, or whatever, just make it on purpose. Breathe awareness 24/7 Eat what comes out of the earth. Eat as much raw food as possible. Don't underestimate that your thoughts are made out of your food. Get enough sleep. Listen to Abraham Hicks. That stuff is so good in the early roller coaster stages because all you have to do is listen. Shrooms. Lol One more thing...listen to ridiculous low range silly happy music and notice how effective it is. Shake It Off, and All About That Bass, that kind of stuff.

Nahm replied to Revolutionary Think's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Enlightenment is you don't exist, and You do exist, eternally. We can differentiate between reality and the illusion, and we can make a distinction between waking and dreaming, and we can be aware we are making those distinctions and that in reality there are no separations as there are no physical things. Good and evil are thoughts, not reality. Meditation slows thinking until eventual non-thinking. LIttle kids raised by a parent who is aware of these distinctions wouldn't have much to slow in their thinking. Perhaps as they get older, but not likely. I wouldn't tell a kid they are part of the universe, I would explain that the universe is a part of them, and I would elaborate on what I meant by "part", and "them". Enlightened people are light and the love. Of course they would have or not have kids, just like anyone or no one. -

In a way, every dream stands to enlighten as we sure do convincingly perceive that there are others in our dreams. They seem so real, but there is just the dreamer. -

I might be in a position to offer an insight here, but I'm honestly confused. You said you know what you are, but then are expressing fears about letting go of the ego. What are you?
