  1. @Faceless Once experienced, all “if” statements become really pleasantly funny. I do not mean I am laughing at you or your words. I respect where you’re at. It’s an incommunicable change, and everything is light and funny as hell.
  2. @Mighty Mouse Of course critical thinking would end there. That is why we must go beyond thinking.
  3. @Faceless That is a great question, and phrased really well. IMO, it can’t be thought, that is why one must go very far beyond thinking to experience it. Then, after the experience...one would not question if it can be thought because they would be very blatantly aware all is taking place within what they are, as what they are would have completely changed. Changed in a sense that was not only unthinkable to them, but literally unimaginable. Unfathomable. So one can know what one really is, but can’t communicate it to someone what is even of the utmost in critical thinking.
  4. @Mighty Mouse I experienced what I would refer to as unveiling / awakening, one day, a couple minutes into a regular morning meditation, after years of meditation, the Oneness just popped very out of the blue. But the experience of the absolute is like a quadrabillion times transcendent to the oneness - which btw, I am not trying to downplay at all. It’s beautiful and life changing in the best way on it’s own experiential note.
  5. I agree. I would add that insight is a word that could be referencing the entire dynamic though. Do you differentiate between insight, epiphany, revolution, and ultimately absolute / God?
  6. @Mighty Mouse Critical thinking is of the utmost importance in life. I am assuming you have experienced the absolute, and you are saying someone could ‘get there’ with critical thinking? Maybe I am misunderstanding you.
  7. @Mighty Mouse yeah, but anything can be used to keep the mind’s status quo or expand it. Spirituality gets used like that too. I prefer to use all tools. It’s good to make a distinction between qm’s and science by and large. Topics like Schrödinger’s cat, superposition, entanglement, etc were very helpful to me. The brain topic is too tough (imo). Can’t think our way to transcending thinking. 99.9% of people will never get this without psychedelics. The problem is, if we’re in the thinking paradigm exclusively, then psychedelics seem scary as hell, so we badmouth them without realizing we’re shooting ourself in the foot. Pair that with a hurtful past we may be hanging on to, and the chances are slim to none. Brain & science paradigm life sentence. Still though, that person, even without the breakthrough, can certainly be present in the now, enjoy the isness, and live a perfectly happy life. Not me. Other people can do this.
  8. @Mighty Mouse It’s all relative to where we’re coming from. Interest in quantum mechanics was a tool to open my mind up, inspired me to self inquire more realizing I am made of literally nothing. It’s not for everyone of course. Going within is the way, and all roads lead to the truth ultimately. Science is just inquiry of the illusion, I feel it can be very helpful in realizing what is not illusion. @SuperLuigi posted this, https://waitbutwhy.com/2014/12/what-makes-you-you.html, @star ark I thought you might find this useful / helpful.
  9. @Crauli You’re aware of your aura. Congrats! Beautiful thing. If you’re in the mood for a mind blower, go get reiki with the bowls too.
  10. If we’re intent on waking up, we can use all avenues, science is just one tool. There are some enlightened scientists.
  11. @mohdanas Meditate in the morning. This experience was you falling asleep. No worries.
  12. @star ark There is no “we” in knowing. You know what you know, and you don’t know what anyone else knows, and in actuality there is nothing to know, because there isn’t even a knower. But, you have to keep looking into it. There’s no substitute for direct experience. It’s supposed to be fun!
  13. “tripping balls”... Instantly gripping and relatable. Leo showed up at my funeral in a trip last summer. He looked at my body over there in the casket and said “That’s still not it!”....I was like, “But Leo!!!!”
  14. @star ark So what is that .0000000000001 made of? My point was, if you keep looking into it, keep inquiring, it’s all made of nothing. The words are just the cover story.
  15. @star ark What percentage of an atom is not empty, and what is that part made of? And what is that made of? Same with your brain. You wouldn’t rely on the microscope either, they’re pointer devices, relative to your topic. Meditation and self inquiry practices are much better tools. Didn’t realize you were a .00000000000001%ter! Atom inquiry lol was just a suggestion of direction for you to inquire to find more about where thoughts come from. It’s the same place your brain comes from.
  16. @playdoh Is it helpful to you to consider that your brain is made of atoms, which are empty nothingness appearing as something?
  17. We aren’t ever complete, or finished, or done, and we’ll never have all the awareness. On one side you’re thinking you’re completely aware of the thinking, on the opposing side you lack the awareness to change the habit. That’s a stress producing situation, a mind arguing with it’s self, and stress feeds into unwanted outlooks. Awareness isn’t a ‘lucky matter of time’ thing for most of us. You gotta think different if you want to feel different. The right book at the right time can be a game changer for this. Listening to positive speakers can help build our library of positive words & thoughts. Meditation every morning will help slow your thinking down and give you lots of ‘space’. Twice a day is better. You’ll become free from habitual thinking, making it downright fun picking better thoughts, and seeing the moment as it is, without projection of the past or future added, without the monkey mind. The joy of working through this habit, is you’ll simultaneously discover much more of yourself, and that’s a beautiful thing. The way we word things, the way we talk, what we talk about, it matters a whole lot if we’re trying to become more aware of positive thinking habits. It’s looking in a mirror. Just observe these things without judging yourself. You’ve got to keep elevating your thinking. It won’t just happen. Things in life will change, but you will be you, and it will always be now. The biggest slice of time you’ll ever have to deal with, is the exact same size as right now. Just this moment. That’s as big as it gets. Right now, we can always pick a little bit better thought, and then another. You are not a professional negative thinker, you’re anything you want to be!
  18. @Omario Awareness cures. Become more aware of your thinking and talking (and typing). The effect isn’t as rewarding as the feeling of positivity. The effects are the icing on the cake. Do you notice, in your previous comment, you started with a double negative, positive in the middle, then negative ‘downhill’, then specifically noting your awareness of negative, “100%” even, then justifying continuing the habit based on your past?
  19. @Omario Practicing awareness will certainly ‘cure’ negative thinking. You are on the right track! (IMO) You’re openness is commendable. I am really curious, do you find mostly negative outcomes in the ongoings of your life?
  20. @star ark Consider why you threw pie in a particular person’s face. Perhaps it would be related to something they did. Think of everyone you know. Someone might come to mind as a person you would most throw a pie in their face, and another as the least. Why?
  21. @star ark It all serves you in the honing of your distinctions resulting in of course youlessness.
  22. @Nexeternity I am so happy for you. Thanks for sharing!
  23. @Charlotte It’s because thinking about not eating sweets is still thinking about sweets. Instead, write down what you want, example, eat more fruits. Then think about fruits. Don’t think about cake.
