  1. If there is another being, then the thought ‘self esteem’ arises. Infinite on the other hand would include self esteem and no self esteem. So if I found myself questioning self esteem, I’d have to realize I was being serious.
  2. Dogma serves the giver of dogma. Religion is brilliant.
  3. @fireworld Exercise every morning at home. First thing.
  4. Just a thought, but, maybe the “delivery” shouldn’t be taken seriously, like anything else. After all, it’s you.
  5. @Highest To fool yourself. It’s a cover story.
  6. @Erlend K That’s what she said.
  7. @Isaac Ben Awesome report. I appreciate the sharing. It’s funny, the often serious tones of ‘consciousness work’, and the reality that it really is all hilarious.
  8. @Ether Right on. Keep rockin man. (Rappin rather)
  9. @Ali123 Yeah, the awareness is currently outward on people and circumstance, turn it inward, find out why you think the way you do about it, why you feel the way you do about it.
  10. @Ether To that place where you take yourself somewhere. Also, I woulnd’t say you have a producer. That’s a good way not to connect with a producer. I think you’d benefit from a producer with skin in the game. Someone who challenges you until you literally can not stand them.
  11. @Ether I’d pick the 5 hardest rap songs and learn them so perfectly well that I begin to believe I wrote them. I’d take singing lessons, and study youtube vocal coach videos everyday to learn about breathe control, diaphramic breathing, the registers, intonation, inflection, the system of diaphragm, larynx, ear & mouth, etc, until you go full circle from where you are now to brilliant articulate singing and rapping, and ultimately back to the simplest of vocal deliveries where the scars & failures speak for themselves oozing into the listener rendering them helpless to your resolve. I’d also master the speed bag to see what bodily rhythm is. If I wasn’t feeling up to this, I’d change my state by having someone slap me accross the face, dunking my head in ice water, jumping in a lake, etc. Whatever it takes.
  12. @Ether Is it a buddy who lays beats & accompaniment down for you for free, or is this a producer - in the sense, their motive is to market your material, they receive a percentage of revenue from downloads & events, etc?
  13. @Philip Great share. Sounds like you’re making a life worth waking up to, and waking up to it. Really beautiful. That part about your friend got me choked up too. Compassion arising. The joke is very funny. “This place is a dream only a sleeper considers it real then death comes like dawn and you wake up laughing at what you thought was your grief. A man goes to sleep in the town where he has always lived and he dreams he's living in another town in the dream he doesn't remember the town he's sleeping in his bed in he believes the reality of the dream town the world is that kind of sleep. Humankind is being led along an evolving course, through this migration of intelligences and though we seem to be sleeping there is an inner wakefulness, that directs the dream and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are.” Rumi
  14. @Ether I like the synth sound from the keyboard, feels like adversity & thick skin from living in a big city. Is this practice / sharing, a demo, a finished production?
  15. Keep the ‘connection’ after the music more and more everyday, just like one might with meditation and yoga. Write & sing for yourself, for the experience of doing it, because you love it. Share it if you like, but realize it’s a byproduct of you living fully. There is nothing you’ll gain ‘down the road’ or ‘if you put a song out’ or ‘if you’re are successful’ - that is even remotely close to this moment of being the singer.
  16. @Ali123 Self inquiry stat.
  17. @Eudaimonia What happened?
