  1. @NoSelfSelf That is excellent. .......so what is the cause of desire?
  2. @Juan Cruz Giusto Sounded like maybe there’s a second, or, non-ultimate reailty...?
  3. Just quote this and add....we’ll do one part at a time. “I want a girlfriend” What is stopping me / the reasons I can’t have a girlfriend: 1. 2. 3. ...
  4. @Mikael89 Let’s focus on one at a time....the girlfriend first, cool?
  5. @FoxFoxFox A contemplation might help....if you had the opportunity to kill Hitler in his ‘prime’, thus saving millions of innocent lives, would you do it? What about before he killed the first victim? What about a year before that? What about when he was 25? 20? 10? 1? What about his pregnant mother? What about both parents, before his conception?
  6. This is avoidance of sensations, resulting in being led by reactional thought. Yelling - “I won’t be hurt again, I’ll scare you before you hurt me” Overconfident - “Look how great I am - I can never be hurt again (I think I’m fooling them)” Fear of enemy - “I’ll protect that hurt “me”, by projecting the pain of having ‘disconnected’ from source, onto you, rather than inspecting that “me” and that fear” Doubt about future - “Rather than inspect the beliefs I know can’t be true because they don’t feel good - I’ll project that suffering onto reality / circumstances”. (That way I never have to self inquire, and never have to present with the suffering)
  7. @Neorez Try to go back to why you read two of his books. What were you looking for, what were you wanting to be without? There’s likely a revelation there for you. Nihilism is the ceiling of psychological and pragmatic shedding of beliefs - at the level of thinking. But the nihilist is not self realized, because they have not done the work (self inquiry, etc). Realizing there is nothing, is not realizing I am nothing / ‘who’ nothing is. Notice that “Jed is enlightened”, is a belief, you hold. Perhaps it’s more accurate, for you, to say, “Jed is a nihilist”.
  8. @Sam Barker Needing validation from someone else, is like believing I can’t really be happy unless someone makes me happy. It’s a perpetual losing battle, in terms of happiness. There is a reason someone started believing they need validation from another, which became a belief about their self they are holding on to in fear, which is delusional, as they actually are, happiness.
  9. @Joseph Maynor Still reeling in the bottomless fall of I love it.
  10. @Joseph Maynor Damn. That’s a deep one. Seriously.
  11. @Nervtine How’s it going? Letting things go? Noting and planning things to look forward to? Read any good books lately? ❤️
  12. @Peo Nonduality is not the reason you want to go on the retreat. What is the reason(s)?
  13. @theking00 Ever read The Six Pillars of Self Esteem, or Loving What Is?
  14. That can’t be said to be true, only you are enlightened. @Sharp Likewise, there is no such thing as “enlightened beings”.
  15. @Sam Barker so how much is a name caller suffering?
  16. Why Leo makes videos is a distraction. Same beliefs = same experience / suffering. Below All the beliefs = pure happiness / truth The wild awesome thing is because it’s just beliefs, it totally up to you. They could all be examined and all be realized as just beliefs in a few days of writing thoughts and feelings about yourself and others, and examining them - - asking if it is really true. - rephrase beliefs about others as about you, and asking if that is really True. - have a good cry - have a good laugh This is freeing the mind, and the feelings, and ultimately is self realization. its kinda simple , without any beliefs, what’s left is the truth @Shaun
