@Peter124 Peter I got a lot of love for ya, but no more thinking. It’s not gonna work. You got a lot to let go of. Commit to meditation. Twice a day. You can do this man. Don’t waste days. Start tomorrow. At the very least write in down several time through out the day. Make a habit of it before you even make a habit of it. If there is one thing you do not think abuot, please make it meditation.

@Peter124 Great to hear. Lot of emotions need to surface, so relax for the marathon. Don’t score keep sprints. No double thinking and doubting yourself. Get on the cushion twice a day. No thinking your way out of it. You’ll never beat your cleverness. Ever. Surrender, on the cushion, twice a day. Take a long media / screen break. Meditate instead. Master it.

@Buba It will always be now. Repeat that when you think happiness could be in the future. It will always be now. Let go. Also, cry it out. Embrace all of now. Embrace your sensations. Let it out.

They see a bike accident. That’s it. Mom’s hip is pain. All the rest is your suffering. Meditation is for this. Start meditating. Twice a day for 30 minutes. You’ll change your whole life.

@SQAAD Hey, I just want to point out that starting with the SANS website reference, through the post, you’re picking & choosing and spinning a narrative. From emotional suppression you are experiencing overthinking and limited emotional connection, resulting in chronic fear which is causing you to see things in a overly limited way. You need less thinking, and more emotional release. Do this every way you can from meditation & writing about what comes up, to reiki, psychoanalysis, etc. Maybe start simply with googling how to relax and seeing what works for you. And develop tenacity. Like a boxer always gets up, you always notice when you left stomach breathing.

@Peter124 You’re not wrong, but you certainly aren’t right. Prioritize being happy over being right. Your dad lived from his head, suppressed his emotions. You don’t have a model for one who is vulnerable & loving, connected with emotions; inspiration, passion, joy, love, inner peace. Can you see however, he did his best? Just like you. Just like me. We’re just doing our best. This never ‘fit’ with you, never actually made sense. Now you’re trying to use thinking to make sense of it. If there’s one thing you definitely do not need more of, it’s thinking. What you need is a disciplined daily routine which includes healthy eating, exercise, and meditation Thirty minutes twice a day. Keep returning attention to breathing naturally from your stomach, and keep relaxing every muscle head to toe. Shit will surface. Write it down, write about how it feels. Return your attention to stomach breath. Thought stories will arise attempting to suck you into thinking again and again and again and again...RELAX......just return the attention to breathing from your stomach. Your emotions will actually correct your thinking. Let the thinking go. You don’t have to be good at everything, if you become a great meditator, you will see how it is that people create their own problems right under their noses. Because you become aware of this, you won’t do it. Your perspective of yourself, and survival in the world will completely flip. Take advantage of any and all resources available to you. If you’re honestly willing. Read The Six Pillars Of Self Esteem. Start therapy. Try Reiki, yoga, or look into meet ups for more specific interests. Do this and your life will change in ways beyond your imagination today. Better than you could even dream, from the state you’re in today. Make that connection with the stomach breath, see how with practice, it calms the mind. The more days in a row you practice twice daily, the quicker the purging, and the quicker you get to a quite mind. Fail easily, gracefully, do not beat up on yourself. Start again the next day. It’s not an overnight results kind of thing. You will see though, if you do this, that you’ll be able to calm your mind completely, and you will actually live the rest of your life in an abundance of peace, love, and happiness.

@Shaun Write down the facets of the life you want. Start simple. Read it every morning. Add to it. You are simply repeating a story, an inner monologue, that you don’t even want. No one is making you look at things in this way, you are choosing to. Your own perspective doesn’t even feel good to you, yet you persist in it with ferocity. Initially, it will feel rough because you’ll see this is true. You’ll realize you’re blaming people, a past, Leo, his videos, etc, etc, etc. No one is coming to change your mind. You - are a Creator. You can choose. You can choose to pretend you can’t choose. You can choose to pretend “meaning” is some kind of problem. You answer to no one. You pretend you do though. Stop pretending. Start choosing. @Paul92 In a world of virtually unlimited options & choices - you cling to this thread to co-miserate. You can do, have, or be anything you want. You can help anyone, anytime, if you choose to. You can pretend this is not true, ohhhh but it is and you know it is. Your current narrative is conceptual meaninglessness & nihilism. So you’re experiencing conceptual meaninglessness & nihilism. You to can choose anything you want, and you can want anything you choose. Decide to stop picking & choosing facets to weave a victim story. It’s simply not working for you. Try something else. Anyone can take any teaching, any information, and use it as an excuse. No one suffers when you do this, but you. Anyone can meditate. Anyone can purify. Love is Unconditional. So unconditional indeed, it will allow anyone to choose misery, to refute it’s own existence.

@CreamCat Let meditation tell you the root and resolve of the neck & back discomfort. Bring awareness into every single part of your body. Bring love & healing. Posture, diet, thinking patterns, a relationship perhaps, an over-repeated body movement, tension mind displaces in body, lack of utilization of resources available...something. Body must balance itself, this is key. Don’t tell meditation, listen. Use a thicker cushion. Get an exam from a chiropractor, see the issue, correct it on the cushion. -

The difference between beliefs and Truth, verbalized and vocalized, is ‘bearing false witness’. Contemplate, what is the difference between a belief, and the Truth? A belief, inherently, must be believed, and therefore can not be True. The apocalypse is getting closer. -

@Jkris Thought “separate” of infinite emotion (Love/Truth) will continually attempt resolution 24/7. Thought can not resolve thought. All thought is relative, and can go on in circular fashion making distinctions forever, because thought’s unknown underlying true nature is infinite. All thinking is false, relative & groundless - a ‘cover story’, or veil, to actuality; because finite can not encapsulate infinite. The basis of emotion is Love / Truth. Infinitely self aware. Imposing finite onto actual will never feel whole. Thinking, observance of separate, can go on forever. You are Love, Infinite & Truth. Awareness is infinite, creating the appearance of relative / finite, in forgetting this. The deepest, or final illusion is, “breathing sustains ‘alive’”. Meditate, go to this breathing and stay there. Thought will organically purge, emotion also will purge. Infinite awareness will purge all finite thought & emotional falsity & misinterpretations. Love is always loving you. Truth is always you. Purification is always happening. This happens to completion upon ‘death’, but there is no need to wait. “Waiting” is resistance, subtle and suffrage. The collapse of alive and death is Truth. Meditation is the Way. All finite (thought) which you have “applied”, or over-laid upon Self (infinite), will be purged, and you will be purified (Truth). The best of both worlds, is no world. The best of no worlds, is this world. Meditation is the Way. Bliss is not either, but the middle. -

@Shaun In short (very short), the fear is from having learned to think about, or perceive yourself in a diminishing way. The feelings (terrible ones) are because you’re trying to superimpose perspectives which are not true. You are Love, you are The Truth. You are Worthy of all you could ever imagine. Someone, or you, or you & someone, in your past, developed a negative idea of you and you believed it. No idea of you is true though. Ideas are ideas. You are True Love. You are not any ideas, or thoughts of this world. You can purge it with meditation, writing about what you’re feeling when meditation gets overwhelming. After doing those for a while, meditation becomes calming & serene. Then start self inquiry. Also, take advantage of all resources available to help that process. Psychoanalysis, opening up to someone trustworthy, art, reiki, massage, singing, yoga, etc. It all adds up, and breakthroughs start happening.

@Shaun Right that’s why I’m asking. It’s not like that though. Once, twice, maybe three times, and you’ll see, there was never anything to fear. It’s not the “infinite” big deal it’s made out to be. It actually turns out, you’re really awesome. I see it plain as day. I see your awesomeness.
