@Identity You can not be described, you are transcendent of thought & language. Like a painting can not understand the painter, though it is the same essence. If the painting were a brain, it’d claim the understanding as it’s own, at the jeopardy of discovering what paint really is. The thought category of “I am the one who understands”...”I am the one who can be understood”, is mistaking a thought about understanding for what the actuality of understanding is (you). Similar to how conceptual, conditional or contingent love, is mistaken for the actuality of Love. (“Cosmic Love, Infinite Love, God’s Love, Reality, The Truth, The Self, etc”) So maybe it’s not that you desire to be understood. Maybe it’s that you desire to more deeply know the one who is the understanding itself. To express, create, articulate your unique distinctions, to “empty your cup”, or make space. Loneliness is a matter of psychology. Psychology is a matter of deviation from the actuality. So be aware of inattentions, of what you don’t like, don’t prefer, what you ‘hold separate’. When and what you “go unconscious” with. Contemplate why you hold it separate, why you don’t like it, when that preference started. They’re learned thought patterns, hiding in the dark. Then of course, like magic, you’ll bump into your new girlfriend who really gets you. -

@Inliytened1 Same here. It was without psychedelics. @David Hammond Where’s the love? -

Yes, as infinity, which was limiting itself to create senses. -

This is your nondual word game. Pretending you are separate, and projecting the suffering on to someone else, to perpetuate your separateness. To continue believing your thought story of inferiority, victimhood, of lessor-than, you project your thoughts, like, “great sages”. I am no sage. I’m you. Be careful, many will claim to be such things. Be careful of your own thought stories, which enable. -

I don’t know. Yes, there is no suffering. The suffering is that someone else becomes liberated, that someone else is not being straight, that someone else is pretending, that someone else is hiding. That someone else, is suffering. It’s you though. -

@kieranperez You’re missing how you’re deepening the thought stories of knowing. -

Nahm replied to Aethereus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Aethereus Mindfulness: Mindful of thought stories. Aware of Mind. It goes like this.... My question / problem (thought story) is A. How do I solve A, and thus find happiness in A? That was just a thought story. You are happiness. Happiness will not be found in a thought story. Mindfulness = mindful of that. Look at your hand, until all the thought stories play out. Without words, without thought story, without language, without content......you can not say “that is me”, you can not say what that is. -
@Dodo Fuck ya it is.

@MM1988 Light speed is metaphysical, in the sense it is your work. -
@Truth Addict That’s not a belief. ?
-
@Truth Addict One appears to be two (thought / belief). Two veils.
-
@Truth Addict You answered that.

Write about that, unravel it. -

@mandyjw Do both. You want nature, and you want to spread the word with people (it seems). Have your cake and eat it out. Airbnb the other house when not staying in it for additional income. -

Nahm replied to Monkey-man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Monkey-man Yes, there are things you can do. It’s not so much ‘becoming defenseless & being unable to run away’, but more realizing we don’t need to employ defenses, and we don’t need to run away. Take a few minutes or so each day to understand the defenses. Understand how we “maneuver”, and what it actually is we’re “escaping” from. Just 15 minutes a day. That will take the ‘huge responsibility’ feeling out of it. Slow & steady wins the race. Overtime what we have been doing unconsciously is done consciously. Don’t beat up on yourself when you become more conscious of these things. That’s progress, though it may not feel like it initially. It gets difficult, then it gets easier & easier. https://www.simplypsychology.org/defense-mechanisms.html Think if you lived next to a large construction site that was very very loud. Sudden very loud noises. The first day, you’d be caught off guard and have an overwhelmed response. Within a few days though, you’d have no response to the loud sounds, because you would have the understanding that they are sound of the construction site. A point would come where you wouldn’t even be thinking about the loud noises. Same with the defenses. When we aren’t aware of what we’re doing (the mechanisms) things seem “loud”, overwhelming, and we internalize & identify only because we don’t understand. When you get overwhelmed (“strangeness & sense of horror”), breath deeply and slowly from your stomach, and just relax for a few minutes. Go for a walk if possible. Then write about it on paper, try to be articulate about the sensations in your body. Expressing in this way, along with seeing what is being written, will increase emotional intelligence / understanding of sensations. Give that a while, then start spending 15 minutes or so a day understanding the emotional scale. There are many models, but they are mostly similar. http://toc-now.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/feature_image_tejkh7mplate.jpg Without the defensive mechanisms at play, there is more patience. You can work more slowly. From having done the writing down & articulating of emotions, you will have more clarity on what emotion you are experiencing. Use that to isolate approximately what emotion you’re feeling, and just relax and ‘feel for’ the next higher emotion. Express that next higher emotion, verbally, on paper, etc. (If you’re experiencing anger for example, visualize or express revenge...but don’t actually go throw a brick through someone’s window or anything.) Hope that’s helpful. Been there. Not fun. ? -
@SQAAD Haven’t seen the video, yet, sorry. Maybe he means expressing it...vs repressing? (Speculating)

@SQAAD These questions are a reflection of your thinking, write it down and inspect it. How would one ‘work on’ their sexuality, really? I can see working on confidence, socializing, communication in relationships, learning & understanding more about sexuality. If by ‘work on’, you mean explore & express your sexuality, then yes. If you want to have sex, and by ‘work on’, you mean have sex, then yes. Embrace the whole of you. If you mean suppress it, deny it, then no. That to me seems like fragmentation, and I am at a loss as to how that is useful. Just to note, I make a distinction between having or not having sex, and embracing or not embracing one’s own sexuality. Many people have lots of sex without understanding the nature of their sexuality. Assuredly, unfortunately, most people. Some people can not have sex, and understand the true nature of sexuality quite well.
