It’s a phrase pointing at deeply discovering one’s character, intentions, and behaviors & their relationship to one’s life experience. Life is created of these, completely, by each one of us. “Objective material reality” is so very convincing, that we unfortunately miss this entirely. It aims to cut the monkey mind concerns of ‘how I’m seen’, ‘what people think of me’, to transcend some penny suffering with intense emotional intelligence & awareness. The rising above the thin life of pleasing others and pleasing an idea of one’s self. The phrase “what you do when no one is looking, speaks volumes” comes to mind, and then putting the true self, and expression of love and authentic honesty, in all you do. More deeply still, there is literally no difference between anything and everything, one thing experienced and all things experienced. In truth, you appear as anything, and you appear as everything. Within the forgetting, the dreaming, the appearing - your vision, mentality & attitude create your life experience. One goes to a party in hopes of having some fun and connecting. While another knows there is no fun in a party, I bring the fun - I am the creator of experience. Infuse that into your life, take this experience into your own hands, and you bring that into anything & everything you do. It becomes the life, and the experience returns it to you, because you were never separate to begin with.

@zeroISinfinity Sounds like you got it but are not in the mood to let go of “my self serving agenda” perspective to see a bigger relieving picture. That’ll will never work unless you know there is that self to serve. Otherwise, you made a wrong turn and ended up in Serioustown. Been tellin my 2 little ones to clean their rooms today and they keep procrastinating. Ice cream truck just came by, blaring it’s Pavlovian song of sugar, and of course the tax credits wanna go get something. I told them sure, but put it in the freezer until your rooms are clean. Never saw em run up the steps so quickly, laughing & willing. Knowing what you want changes every thing. Denying it does too. Side note, why isn’t there an ice cream truck app? See where it’s at, call it over, order delivery, etc. -

@Peo You don’t actually have any need to transcend to transcend sex and the desire for a pretty girl. It’s a matter of priority. If you practice, and in doing so, deconstruct and detach from self referential thinking, you discover you are the greatest possible experience there could ever be, little by little, each day, each practice. Then all these experiences that seemingly come and go are not so gripping. The experience of desperation, of needing anything, is revealed for what it is. So get good with yourself, with your choices, with your vision for this life, and or get good with God. It’s only in mentally placing potential experiences above or below your idea of you, which creates the suffering. You are more than enough, however you are right now, exactly as you are right now. This does not mean you won’t want to experience preferences in life, but rather, free’s You up to do so. Also, look into karma yoga for a while. It’s much better than sex and pretty girls. And of course, you just might find that the girl you are really wanting, can not resist the man who is at peace with himself, who wants, loves, and appreciates all things, but needs no thing, as he is Happy.

Instead, give up thinking about yourself. That is the underlying ‘addiction’ at play. It appears to be a global epidemic symptomatic of materialism, so don’t blame yourself, just seek to understand this about the psychological environment, or, this era / culture, if you will. Because you will always be the awareness of these thoughts, the awareness thoughts arise in.... “I am a” “I have been” “I have” “do I have to” “am I allowed” ...these thoughts about yourself can never be true. You’re always the awareness. You’re always the One in which the thoughts are arising. The awareness of the thoughts. Imagine balloons rising up, unaware the arising is the nature of the helium within them, so they claim their own “separate balloon identities”. These ‘thoughts about self’ become an idea of you. Done habitually, inattentively, you soon don’t even notice you’re experiencing life as if you were two entities: The you which you have believed yourself to be, (balloon) and, the awareness of thoughts and beliefs (helium). When you make choices for your life from this ‘two-selves’, or ‘separate self’ situation, the choices are limited to fit with these ideas of who you are. Without being attentive to this subtle inattention, you no longer notice you’re doing it, but you do experience the suffering you’re creating by doing it. So instead of repeating thinking about yourself, just shift these thoughts to about your life. What do you want to do, to experience? Is the handiwork taking up time in which you could be doing more of what you want to, experiencing more of what you want to? Possibly, but probably not. It’s likely imo that how you are feeling about yourself is what can be let go of, not the over flipping of your omelette. In any case, it’s hard when you’re 16. The more realized this awareness, the easier life gets.

Perhaps you are waking up in the classical ‘taking hold of this life’ sense, and overcoming your fears lately, and in doing so they are emptying accordingly. Feels good. But maybe the fear of death is a bit different, as it can’t technically be overcome because it isn’t a ‘real’ thing, but only realized to be your own belief. It’s possible the characterization of death stems from projecting fear onto an outside asserting force (person), but in fact there is no assertion. This could mean there is or was something or someone in your life which you semi or subconsciously invited into your life (innocently), and then blamed your own shortsightedness on. We all do it. Not everyone is willing to realize they did it. Consider a change in perspective to owning the creating of your life. Look beyond the sight and sound, in consideration emotion attracts. All speculation, and sorry if way way off.

One must experience for one’s self, for sure, but I think you’re downplaying the impact such vulnerability and intimacy has on viewers. The blog trip vids are a new ground imo, an unprecedented exposure. The sillier it looks to someone, the more they sense there is so much more to this experience. It may not awaken a viewer (and it might), but I imagine it becomes very hard to deny that there is Awakening when one is confronted with such a willingness and devotion. Not to mention all the nondual assholes like me just resonating & balling like freakin babies.

@Cody_Atzori For what it’s worth, I’m 44. My oldest is 25. Get the life purpose course. Don’t wait. Now. Careful, your thought about what it is, is a thought. The experience of it, is the experience of it. Only one of those matter.

Just had another context (‘time’) for this and thought I’d mention it.... A case could be made that what (ideally) psychedelics reveal, is there is only the Self (Actual Reality), pretending / dreaming a self & physical reality. That there has never been a thing called “the past”, sans a thought / veil of the fact of Actual Reality. In remembering a thought, there is an assumption at play, that there is an actual past in which what is thought / remembered, actually happened, and if the past is thought to be actual, even via a single memory, then now is influenced (“covered” / “veiled”) by illusion (taking an arising thought now, with implication of “past”, as actuality, or proof of, a past). Without that assumption, with only now, the “past” will actually convincingly appear to conform to support / align with, the now / creation/creating/spontaneously. (The “past” would “change”, but we wouldn't notice) This would mean there is no actual “sober up and enter back into the dualistic mindset”. That actual thought - the content it implies - would have to be believed, for that to be experienced as such. Most simply put, if “the path” is one of construction, recall memories, and add them to now. If “the path” is one of deconstruction, let every thought (memories are now thoughts) go. As far as “memory is a great example of how theory and practice can come together”...this would mean it actually is a veil, with the implication it is not a veil. (“Veil” being relative to not recognizing the self in all). -

There’s no such thing as everyday life. Ground yourself in the fact this is a dream. This is not reality. You are reality. So in fact, literally speaking, there is no such thing as grounding. -
Recreating it, over and over and over and over and over. As useful as a post about what one wants to forget, and otherwise already would have. LOA.

♥️ Willingness to be attentive to past, future, and self referential thought stories, and seeing this in others as well, becomes self knowledge / understanding / recognition / compassion, instead of reaction (to “another”). In understanding, there is no self and other, but the knowing of ‘now’. (Now / Actuality, being “exited” via past, future, self, thought story) -
