  1. @SidBySide It’s not a riddle. You are the sneakiest being that has ever been. Literally. There has never been anyone as sneaky as you. There is not even a close, or distant second place. The world does not cause your thoughts, your perspective, nor your feelings. You choose your perspective. When it does not feel good, when your inner being tells you it is not true, rather than listening to the sensation, you use the entire world to justify the continuation of - choosing your same, “right & accurate”, perspective.
  2. @dimitri What’s an example of something which you call one thing (a name / label / word), but you know it’s actually something else, something underlying?
  3. @dimitri Infinite intelligence is more efficient than that (op). You don’t need to imagine you were born, you only need to believe you are not the thought, “my birth was imaginary”. You are that thought.
  4. @dimitri Why are you believing your birth was imaginary?
  5. “I’ll pay no mind to taunts or advances...I’ll take my chances on; good love fight for; - everyday.”
  6. Siddhartha did not become The Enlightened One. The Enlightened One was never really ”Siddhartha“.
  7. That “become” part is misleading, more of a relative untangling of the relative added, to see that it was always absolute. Someone else can not become enlightened. Could a _________ (some thing) become enlightened (no thing)? No.
  8. @Grant NZ ?? Watch the movie Patriot’s Day. I’d be interested to know if you found some relief and a change of perspective.
  9. The suffering is the not wanting. What do you want? Start your dream board. This could be the first day of a completely new life. One in which you blow the doors of this place.
  10. @Grant NZ I have a hunch this won’t go over well, but I’d suggest looking into fear & suffering deconstruction, rather than pain.
  11. Yes, for sure. I once experienced a rather peculiar lion expressing it’s counterintuitive situation of actually lacking in self assured ness & courage, and being on his path to go see The One, to get it.
  12. @Grant NZ Highly doubtful, but I honestly don’t know as it’s just a thought. I believe it’d hurt pretty badly until shock kicked in and I passed out. I have broken many bones and found that the more intense the injury, the less severe the pain. When I broke my collar bones playing hockey & football there was no pain at all. Instant numbness. Smashed my entire thumb once between a mini bike and a boulder. It was literally hanging from my hand like a wet rag, no pain at all. After the surgery, pins, etc, it hurt like hell for a day. I can readily honestly say, I’d rather go through ever injury I’ve ever encountered again, than have monkey mind. Have you actually experienced the tortures you refer to, or is this suffering of the mind?
  13. @Grant NZ You might want to read up on pain vs suffering.
  14. @Nivsch Maybe the best thing you can do here is really hone in on that you are talking about a thought.
  15. @Raptorsin7 There’s all the advice needed on this thread. ?? Overall, more letting go, les goaling and efforting.
