  1. in other words, you're just a lazy bum and you don't want to overcome your own limitations. do you also want a baby bottle?
  2. what is it that you enjoy? it won't work if your answer is something like "watching porn/jerking off" or "eating a lot" or "consuming stuff". what is it that you can offer to the world?
  3. do something you love. then figure out a way of making money out of it. this way you'll never need to work. this is what i do with data science and agroforestry/syntropic farming. these are not things that i chose for the rest of my life. as soon as i decide that i want to do something else i'll do it and still figure out a way to make money out of it. be creative. most people make money doing things they don't want to do. doing what you like should be easier, right? my inspirational example: hayao miyazaki. the dude spent SEVERAL HOURS PER DAY doing what he enjoyed doing. did it make him millionaire? no! it made him an excellent animator and inspiration.
  4. "Love thy neighbor as thyself" is not even an option. it's an inevitable fact.
  5. yeah, exactly. you get it. and there's even a broader perspective. is there anything under control at all? Existence is infinitely mysterious. we just ARE right now and we don't even know why. we can't know why. who are you?
  6. hard lesson: don't get attached to "positive". Life's greater than joy. Life's greater than "things happening the way we want they to happen". Life's a great mix of surprises. acceptance is the real Key. living each instant exactly as they are is True Freedom.
  7. this is what worked (and still works) for me: REAL HARD WORK
  8. no. it's already the arrival.
  9. @zoey101 we suffer because we don't want to give up on egoic desires. we're addicted to possessiveness and stubbornness. we want to control people and it's frustrating when we fail. we suffer because we're childish. it's that simple. face yourself and let go of selfishness.
  10. @Enachescu Dragos embrace loneliness and turn it into solitude.

  12. @WellbeingSeeker Zazen 5 min/day 10 min/day 15 min/day 20 min/day pick one and do it for 6 months straight
  13. good questions. short answer: time. you will gather what you sow.
  14. by learning how to be content even when nothing is happening. kindness, compassion, patience... all of these virtues show up when you're happy with this moment right now. when we practice "do nothing" all the reasons behind our discontentment become crystal clear. enough talk. gonna meditate.
  15. everytime you start wondering how you should meditate, just sit down and do nothing. it's that simple.
  16. @Alien why do you want an alternative? just quit it for once
  17. don't mind PUAs. mankind deeply sick overall. the best one can do is build a beautiful family on top of the highest human values: virtues.
  18. concentration and willpower. don't be slave of destructive habits, no matter what they are. stop trying to find a reason and quit the bad habit already. focus and stop. that's how we destroy bad habits. stop lip-picking and face the anxiety that will arise from abstinence at once.
  19. oh nice. you're welcome so... another mathematician!
  20. @Wouter i use jekyll and github. this is my blog and this is the source code. feel free to fork it and edit it as you wish.
  21. sounds like self-deception in order to get the ego inflated. you will suffer immensely as long as you keep up with that struggle to hold that pride in your chest. believe me. i was just like that. let go already.
